Also, by this point, nah, they're not 'rookies' anymore. I usually call them the Elite 12, in my head.

Sai's pretty much the 12th member after Sasuke left and Sai was swayed by Naruto.

Sai could be in any ranks, either with Neji/RockLee/Kiba/Chouji, or with Sakura, or with the Support Types. Not sure, really, if he's not very squishy, he'd probably be with Sakura or the Neji/RockLee/Kiba/Chouji group.

....And this means I've officially spent too much time on Naruto. XD

See, I dislike how characters aside from Naruto cannot seem to function as independent beings. The entire idea of Sakura's character development stemming from understanding Naruto seems inherently flawed to me. No realistic character or real person bases their existence completely around another person. This is also why I never cared for Hinata. She is very very unrealistic and very dependent.

Sakura needs to deal with Sakura's problems. Basically, what I mean is she can't rely on Naruto to get over Sasuke for her. She shouldn't have to lean on him for every little damn thing. She's supposed to be the main female lead and grow past that. If she really wants to "all fight together" then she needs to buck up. It irritates me to no end because this is totally within her character profile to do so but she has not been given this chance. I remember her saying to herself that she would have to let Naruto handle Sasuke. When I saw that my first reaction was "Why? Why would you rely on him to do that for you then feel bad about relying on him? Get your kitten get together and DO something."

This may just be me having beef with the way Kishi writes female characters but he tends to write the same female archetype over and over. He has a golden opportunity with Sakura to let her break out and be her own person and deal with her own kitten but it's just not happening and there really is no good reason why not.

You dont get it she lacks strength to do it, and she recognizes it, understanding him does not mean to live for him, Sakura has her problems, but most of her problems comes from Naruto, and this is mutual.
She might help Naruto but not in the fight between Naruto and Sasuke, srsly Sasuke is Naruto's rival he wants to fight with him alone because it's personal to him.
Like in part 1 who Naruto used to give her confidence.

I usually consider Sakura close to top-tier, only by virtue of being trained by Tsunade, there's a reason why she's part of the Legendary Three Ninja, after all.

Out of the 12 (Sasuke included), I usually rank them by:
Naruto leads by a large margin, followed by Sasuke. Those 2 are on a league of their own.

Neji, Rock Lee, and maybe Kiba & Chouji, are probably a tier below Naruto-Sasuke. These guys can devastate the enemy with their attacks. I'd put Shikamaru in the same tier, but he's far too squishy. Sakura, I'd also put in here, but her appearances focus too much on her medical skills. If she does show more power like Tsunade did in her appearances, she would either be here or maybe a bit above them.

As it stands, Sakura's between this tier and:

Shino, Ten-ten, Shikamaru, Hinata, and Ino. Just because these guys seem more relegated to Support-type techniques. Although Hinata could probably go up a rank if she's privy to the same techniques as Neji.

Other notes I have are that Neji and Rock Lee could probably be better for One-on-One fights than taking out larger groups of enemies.

This is all my headcanon.

Yeah, this seems about right to me, and this is all from what we've been shown of her in Part 2. Hopefully, she surprises us in the near future because she's not just good at medical ninjutsu. Sure she lacked the strength at one point, but it's not a permanent ailment. Getting over loved ones is someone people accomplish everyday. The fact that is DOES seem to be a permanent ailment is exactly what is wrong with her character and is what she needs to get over on her own. People are unhappy that she sat in the back and did nothing about Sasuke when he left. People were unhappy that she hurt Naruto and asked him to bring him back. People were unhappy that she was unable to land a blow on him when she went off to kill him by herself.

Now people are saying it's allll up to Naruto? Sorry, but no. If Kishi actually writes it that way without letting Sakura flesh out her issues first I'm going to have a serious bone to pick with him. I understand he's Naruto's rival and whatnot and they will need to have their fight but completely denying Sakura's developmental stakes in it then complaining she never gets any attention is damn silly.

It was how you worded it.

To me, it implied that one cannot be a heroine and be successful in combat. I don't understand why it so brutally has to be one way or the other. She won't need to die to make a dent, nor will she need to stand aside and do nothing except be Naruto's prize. Either of those would be horrible writing.

Sakura not getting screen time bothers me because she is one of the most multifaceted characters in the series. Kishi writes one-dimensional females. Period. Sakura is the only real time he's been able to branch outside his comfort zone, at least in my eyes. It also bothers me because she has soooo many options and steps she could take but she's not doing ANYTHING. I find it very frustrating.

Yeah, this seems about right to me, and this is all from what we've been shown of her in Part 2. Hopefully, she surprises us in the near future because she's not just good at medical ninjutsu. She has her uses in other fields as well. There's one thing though. Though, I am iffy about Chouji, in general. He's not too much of a brainless brawn, but he's not been shown to have even Naruto's tactics either. I just put him in the 2nd tier because he's probably the most durable aside from Neji's Kaiten, and Naruto/Sasuke's uber-shields (Biju cloak and Susano'o).


Shikamaru, like I said, WOULD be in the same tier as the ones immediately under Naruto-Sasuke, but he lacks the durability and stamina of Neji-Rock-Kiba-Chouji. He'd be good if he manages to implement what strategies he would think of, but if the enemy outranks him in both strength and intelligence, Shika's out of options but to run. It'd be better if he was situated farthest from the fighting. Not to say that he's unable to do much damage if he remains far from the fight, but I take into consideration how they'll do in the thick of it, as well.

She's aware of this that why she offered himself for Naruto, this is the reason why she thought she was a bad person and do not deserve his love, this is the reason why she cares deeply of Naruto to a point that it may turned out to be love.
Sakura is too good to be with Sasuke, Sakura wants to prove herself not to Sasuke but to herself.
Naruto wants to be acknowledged by Sasuke as equal and to be acknowledged he must defeat him on an 1v1 fight.

About Sasuke srsly the only one pairing that is most suitable for him is SasuIno.
Because it's not abusive and moreover Ino's development lead to an understand of sasuke when Asuma died her first thought was "revenge", and she went to revenge her teacher along with Shikamaru and Chouji, moreover her father now is dead.
Putting all the three girls together, Ino is best suitable for him if he gets redeemed.
Ino's is the most miserable girl of all the K11, she lose more things than anyone else, comparing only to Shikamaru and Naruto.
Hence asuma's last words which was "Dont lose to Sakura".

That's my main point, Sakura was complemented by Chiyo in a big way, name me another character who directly complimented her that way, what I mean is that I want her to have a bigger role in the plot, not Sakura could well be surpassing Tsunade in a future (Kakashi) or Sakura you are great (Naruto).

Lets face it, it seems that Sakura is the only one who want to show how much of an important person Naruto is too her, but apart from part one we don't get that from Naruto anymore. Sakura was the one who discover Tobi's fighting ability but no one made a mention to that, she should be the one encouraging Naruto most of the times, but went she has an opinion or she is worry about him Naruto shuts her down. 261 and 469.

Again I've glad to see a great fight featuring Sakura vs an enemy, but I would be more Happy if she becomes more important to the plot since all female heroine at some point are the focus of the manga not only used to be humiliated and a plot devise to gather team 7 or for pairing tension.

the same for me. I did notice it (I'm sure that I already told it here before), indeed it was strange that even tenten get a speech and Neji not. He just did want to postpone Neji's speech for his moment. However I never imagined that his moment would have been the last moment of his life.
