Just frendly reminder that discuss romance in Naruto fandom same with step into landmine, Naruto fandom already tired with years vicious pairing wars.  Give them rest since NS don't need to be canon to survive anyway.

Funny thing is, I didn't even discuss the pairings as my main argument, since I did mention how he became a conformist instead of an anti establishment character and a ultra nationalist hypocrite. She basically jumped on me by saying that NaruSaku didn't happen get over it and kept sending messages about the red harring bs. And I'm like I didn't even mention the fact that NaruSaku or NaruSasu did not happen as my main problems with the ending.

Naruto is created for casual crowd, they follow fandom for fun not debate.  So it expected if you said heavy thing than you will get plumted by Naruto fandom.

Considering all that, it does make me wonder how Naruto "really" feels about Minato and Kushina's sacrifice of him with turning him into a Jinchuriki at the cost of their lives, given the type of character he is now.

Honestly as thick as Naruto is shown to be I doubt he even remembers it

He probably uses his parents sacrifice in order to justify him spending all his time at work.

 

As for the Sasuke obsession thing: "Honestly the bond between Naruto and Sasuke has always been over hyped. They were barely friends in part one. Sasuke barely tolerated him for the most part. But Naruto barely had anyone care about him or acknowledge his existence at the start of the manga. So when someone did they became important to him. To the point he didn't want to loss anyone he cared about which led to his obsession with saving Sasuke. While Sasuke barely cared about anyone. So the fact he even acknowledge Naruto made him significant to Sasuke. Since he didn't care about/acknowledge anyone else in the village. The problem is the longer part 2 went on because of how little we saw of them interacting in part one the less people understood why Naruto was going to such length to save Sasuke. So kishi had to start playing up that they had this "special bond like between two brothers" which for some people sounded gay, and for other wanted it to be gay. Instead of Naruto is overprotective and possessive of the people he cares about, while Sasuke gives Naruto a modicum of respect which is more then he gives anyone else." At the end of the day. That "special bond" they had was a way to try and justify to people why Naruto was chasing after Sasuke for so many years. But as the years went on kishimoto had to keep hyping it more and more to try and justify. "Why Naruto cared so much about Sasuke?" Until it at the end Naruto really only care about one thing: Sasuke.

The bond between Naruto and Sasuke really disgust me, is there really anyone in real world out there willing to got "THAT" far to save his best friends??

In my opinion that is already "FAR" beyond best friends ... that is "GAY".

Their "Bond" is what started the series fall into kitten since after Sasuke left all it was about Sasuke this and Sasuke that. Goku, Sora, Ichigo, Yusuke any real hero wouldn't go that far any most they stop them even if It meant killing them like Obi-Wan did with Anakin in Episode III or Optimus did with Sentinel in Dark of the Moon,

Surprise It took someone this long to make a Spock reference which ya a better written Naruto would do that. Also Kirk and Spock both original and reboot are better than Naruto and Sasuke especially in the reboot. Please Naruto would let Hinata, Bolt and Himawari die just to save Sasuke given the choice and not care that his family is dead.

Don't over-think Naruto, most of Naruto fans is fun seeker, they don't care about story as long as they think it cool.   Kishi just done what other shounen mangaka done, don't take it too personal.

Stories have rules. Rules that a writer has to obey.

If you don't then your story is crap. No ifs, ands, or buts.

When one thinks about it...Sasuke to Naruto...is like what Naruto is to Hinata...the only difference is Naruto just endlessly chasing Sasuke openly while Hinata just keeps hiding...
