I blame the three new main characters. Dark Naruto, Hinata-sama, and Scarf-kun. Those three ruined this series.

Yep, as far as I've been told there's been a huge backlash against Naruto and I don't blame them. From the way he acts in the movie, and from Kishi's interviews, he is an absolute scumbag. He used to be one of my favorite anime characters, but now I can hardly look at him the same way anymore.

Apparently Naruto's new nickname in Japan is 'The Greatest Scumbag'. It deeply hurts me to see what has become of my favorite character but lets face it, he was portrayed terribly in this movie.

 

This is exactly what happens when you don't put BOTH characters thoughts into consideration and just favour one. There's a reason 'It takes two to tango' is a wise saying.  

 

This movie seems to be all Hinata, Hinata's dreams, Hinata's wishes. Nothing about Naruto was even considered ! I mean to retcon Naruto's lonely childhood...? To retcon the significance of Naruto doing Kage Bunshin for the very first time-- When he wanted to protect someone precious to him-- Iruka, the person he respected the most. 

 

Disgusting. They have destroyed Naruto Uzumaki. 

I know that feeling. I can't believe this happening.

 

I'm not going to lie but on the way home, I just can't help but think Kishi isn't really behind all of this. I mean I'm not saying he's a great writer or anything, I still can't forgive him for some of his comments and decisions, but all of this just screams SP 100%. I mean this is bad even for Kishi. Again, I'm not trying to defend him, but I don't know, is this really same guy? It just...Sigh...I wish I knew. I really do...

If they had just put Naruto with Sakura in the manga, like in chapter 699 perhaps, and then had the movie be a Team 7 centric one then I doubt there would be this much backlash against Naruto's character and the movie.

Something even more stupid than that is Naruto suddenly realizing that he loves Hinata, all because of a genjutsu. He was arbitrarily shown Hinata's love for him in some dream and he loves her back just cause of that ? Its like- 'Oh, so you love me? Okay then I guess I have to love you too'.   

 

Does he fall for her because he pulls spiderwebs out of her hair and watches how beautiful she looks in the moonlight as she knits a scarf ? No actual specific qualities ? They apparently haven't been developing a deepening bond of friendship and familiarity in the two years post war. And this dream is enough for him to declare that not only is Hinata the person he would want to be with as the world ends ( sorry Sasuke, Sakura and everyone else ) but that she is the most important person to him ?

it would have helped but 693 never should have happened. It basically was an F U to all Sakura fans and all females in general bc it completely destroyed all of Sakura's credibility and character development as a heroine. After that there were no real strong female characters except for maybe Tsunade

Dont think they will go back to a NS ending. Consider the children. But SP failed really hard to deliver an ending. I think kishi has to man up and deliver. Hinata was more important then naruto becoming hokage.

No I don't think there will ever be a NS ending, but I'm just saying they could have saved themselves a lot of trouble had they went with the NS ending. They wouldn't need a movie to make it happen for one thing. That could have made this movie more focused on Team 7 and with Sasuke back on the good side it would be cool to see him and Naruto team up once again, but nope we get a NH lovefest instead.

Finally caught up to the latest movie buzz.

 

Damn, those movie ratings are fluctuating every minute because of the BS positivity SP is trying to give them. 2.9 now??  I feel like I'm watching a tennis match: this is a literal war between SP and the Japanese fans. It's so incredibly embarrassing that SP/Kishimoto were so confident this movie would sell well and now getting this backlash from all these fans. Seeing this movie burn for the damage it's causing to the Naruto series so satisfying. Just need some beer and popcorn.

 

What did they expect? You're taking a movie, sidelining and destroying many characters in favor of one (a side character on top of that), turning that character into a Sakura 2.0, and contradicting established canon while claiming it is canon. Naruto's love for Sakura, Team 7's beginning, SN/NS's bond, and Naruto's childhood loneliness retcons are just too much. It's just a huge clusterkitten of continuity errors and none of is bearable enough to make sense. Their arrogance is unbelievably amusing and I hope they send us a personal apology for giving us this kitten, especially for the Japanese fans.

 

After seeing all this contrived plot just for NH to happen and how they literally had to rearrange the characters, they officially aren't canon in my mind. None of this natural. Even neutrals can see Naruto was just suddenly 'forced' by plot to love Hinata and anyone who doesn't see that is in denial. NaruSaku is true canon couple. I know that for a fact now.

 

But any trust I ever had Kishimoto is long gone. I wouldn't even accept an alternate ending at this point. Kishi has betrayed us, his story, and his characters. Our wounds are too deep.

 

So I will write my NS fanfiction, I will endlessly make fun of this joke movie with our fandom, and just sit back watching this kitten movie and Kishimoto's career go up in flames.

There are many scenes between kid Naruto and kid Hinata from what we've seen. Also, he was shown using shadow clones before the first time he used them in chapter 1.

That's just what someone told me. He used the shadow clone jutsu in the movie as a kid before his battle against Mizuki, so it's a huge retcon as I thought that was the first time he actually used that ability but apparently not.
