no offence but the friend of yours is a bit foolish for believing to everything that he read around the web... there are many fake interviews from kshi that deceive all those who hadn't any experience with Naruto world.

I'm confused about two things;

 

1. Did anyone else see the genjutsu or was it all in Sakura's head, like when Itachi first cast one on Naruto?

 

 

2. Is Sakura still under the genjutsu or is she unconscious?( Though either way she could still be dreaming, if she's in the genjutsu, would she be watching Sasuke kill her over and over again?)

I was one who think the same way you did until chapter 693.
NaruSaku and SasuSaku will never be on equal footing never.
Sakura was made to believe that she was killed by Sasuke and she is sure to suffer from some type of mental trauma plus Sasuke made a mockery of her feelings, question them and stated that he has no feelings for her at all so regardlest of how redeemed Sasuke is, this relationship will never again fit in a romantic context.

Plus lol to those fans who believe that this was positive for SS.

Any reader with a brain should know that this story will end NS and the only element of surprise could be NH something I really have a hard time seeing.

Their won't be an open eding since Kishi already hinted that Naruto will have a son.

The only problem I have after 693 is how Kishimoto will redeem Naruto and Sakura relationship because at this time I have a hard time believing it will be a great ending for NaruSaku.

I've watched the seasons in two days  is that fast ? I'm very impatient and can't stop until I watch it till the end its like that with all the series that I watch Lol . For me it was pretty obvious since your description right there speaks for itself, haha. Now, it seems like you like NCIS? I will admit is way better than CSI Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and 30 more versions xD. But i dropped all of them for Criminal Minds...and since you like The Mentalist, there are even more chances. (Lie to me was one of my favorites but it was cancelled. Either way, 3 seasons are enough for falling in love<3)

It's not self-destructive. Naruto's feelings for Sasuke are exactly the same, if not worse, and he is the hero of this manga.

 

Once again, you are arguing a point that is not relevant to what I was discussing.  I was speaking strictly about Sakura's feelings for Sasuke, not Naruto's.

 

It may be your opinion that Sakura's feelings for Sasuke are not self-destructive, but I am not required to agree.  

 

From my perspective, an obsessive devotion and emotional dependence on a person who treats you and your life as totally worthless, who has no respect for your ideals and goals, and who vows to kill people you love is the definition of self-destructive.  

 

Sakura's feelings for Sasuke are certainly not constructive.  They have brought her nothing but pain, shame, and humiliation, and have prevented her from moving on to the true love of a guy who would bolster her sense of self-worth rather than incinerate it at every turn.

 

As for Naruto, I believe his feelings for Sasuke are also self-destructive.  The fact that he's the hero doesn't change that fact, nor does his blind devotion and emotional dependence on Sasuke make Sakura's okay or any less destructive.

 

In my opinion, Sakura's devotion to Sasuke is indefensible because it is based primarily on romantic attachment.  At least Naruto's reason for pursuing Sasuke's redemption is rooted in his nindo.  He believes that to be a true, qualified leader he must be strong enough to correct the dark path of his friend.  Big difference in motivation.

 

And I would not be at all surprised if Kishimoto does bring Sasuke all the way around to where he is open to the idea of a relationship with Sakura.  It would be the putrid icing on the crap cake that has been this entire "love" triangle.  

 

There was a point where I thought Sasuke simply being redeemed and brought home by Naruto would be enough for Sakura to be satisfied, but after this chapter I can see Kishimoto not stopping there, and instead making us endure Sasuke making a romantic overture to Sakura before she chooses Naruto.

 

Yuck.

The fact that some SS fans really said they found chapt 693 pro SS but I don't get how it is? Also NH? Naruto and Hinata barley talk to each so I don't see how that would happen NS on the other hand of course we all want that to happen I mean I can picture Naruto and Sakura having a good life together and they have a happy relationship.
