Just wait until he gets to the latest chapter and then we'll see figure out how he really feels about the sequel. As I said earlier I'm currently reading Tokyo Ghoul from chapter 1. At the moment I'm on chapter 5 again, and man I forgot how different this series was when it first started compared to where we are now.  Ugh re-reading this from the start again also makes me miss Touka even more

Ok. I read the LAP from trang. I understood all that before reading it but I got the confirmation now. The first point is shocking though because it's the smallest clue in there and I should have thought about it. It made sense why those people were behind this "plot". The objective isn't clear but I can see why they're the true culprit.

One thing I want to ask without major spoiler depending on the sequel. How is that "Owl King" ended up being that person after all this time? I feel like there was a hint or such that I missed it.

Well we really dont know if Eto is the one eyed king (leader of Aogiri) or not, this is still the dark. About Takatsuki being the true one eyed owl, well this was foreshadowed but most people were unable to see it coming

The times she appeared she looked really strange, there is also her whole involvement with the CCG when she went to get an interview and knew of things no normal person would know. It is subtle and REALLY hard to notice

 

PS: are you already at chapter 6/7?

I don't remember any specific foreshadowing... Well, Takatsuki did behave oddly if you ask me. Especially when she interviewed Amon at the CCG- what kind of normal human would have so much insider knowledge about the CCG?

Other than that, Eto and Takatsuki were kind of short XD

In Root A, it becomes painfully obvious that Eto is Takatsuki from the start.

Alright NS4L, I've just went through the first 20 or so pages and gathered all the little stuff that pointed to our good friend Uta, just take a look at these quotes and be mind f**cked by his tiny details:

If Rize did recognize him, it's also possible that she knew the relationship between him and Uta/Peirrot. 

 

Peirrot might just be a splinter of Aogiri, in the sense that they might have split off and stayed low-key, kinda like Banjou's Anti-Aogiri group. Aogiri might just not have noticed. The way I took it was that Kaneki was the prototype, or the first real test subject. I thought that the twin sisters were the next generation in a way, they came after Kaneki. I don't think that either party knew how strong he would become, rather they were just interested to watch him. His strength was a convenient side-effect, something that would help Kanoe's research at a later time.

Also, Ishida hinting at something since the beginning???

 

This is a scan from Chapter 11, when Touka took Kaneki to Uta's shop for the first time to get a mask prepared for him. Kaneki at this point hadn't met Uta and was just looking around his shop. Take a look at the middle left panel

 

What chapter are you on now? Oda's consistently been at the top, which makes it even more impressive to me lol I think I may have heard of that before...I can't remember where, but I remember being really touched by it.

I thought it was pretty good. I had an issue from how much they changed, and it really annoyed me, but the anime itself didn't look so bad.

The first time I read that I didn't second guess Uta. But this go through, I can't help but think why not use his Kagune? That excuse was kinda lame. And Tsukiyama presented it in a way that made him seem slightly suspicious of Uta, no?

It's probably that they expected this of him, because Kanoe worked with Aogiri so they were aware of the transplant. They probably guessed that Kaneki wouldn't have wanted to kill humans so he would have to eat ghouls. I doubt they didn't know.

Lol yeah, Hirako gets lost in the shuffle. I like the plot twist at the end, I thought it was great. And yeah, I saw the episode of season two. I was a little disappointed at the Touken scene though

Yeah, I also found Juuzo's voice annoying as kitten. They'd probably look really bad XD I think you're right about torso.

I think it was Eto, or Tartara on Eto's order. Probably wanted to keep an eye on Kaneki's development.

Also, looks like Uta ran into some trouble back in the day, courtesy of Arima's former partner Hirako (the third CCG member that fought along with Shinohara and that other big guy against old man Yoshimura during the Aogiri arc):

Well, speaking of clowns:

this was blatantly obvious but I didn't even think anything of it before, I facepalmed pretty hard when I read it:

Ta has his Kakugan on plenty of times, it's just hard to see. He had it when he first met Kaneki and he had it throughout the entire Aogiri arc. Kanoe is an ass. I also hated how they changed the Ayato fight.

Also, just thought this was interesting: in chapter 78 It was revealed that the 11th ward war was a distraction by Aogiri, what their real intention turned out to be was actually a jailbreak from the prison in the 23rd ward.

Notice how Tartara says that they didn't reach the deepest level, only the SS level. Keep in mind, Eto is an SSS rated ghoul. What was further down in that prison then?

So I just saw Chibi's review on the latest chapter and he believes that Amon might have a possibility of showing up and saving Akira say if Hinami and her have some kind of confrontation going on. I could actually see that, but the thing is would Amon know because we saw how Saidou was in this latest chapter so it just makes you wonder how Amon will be by the time he shows up. For some reason I picture Sasaki being the one to jump in and save her considering their somewhat older sister-little brother relationship in the manga so far.

Okay so when it comes to Touka I feel like by the time Sasaki does remember she's going to become relevant again. Cause I remember that Kaneki was on his way back to the shop before he got wrapped up in the fight with the investigators at the end of the series. We already know that him regaining his memories is gonna make him conflict with which side he'll be. Which reminds me my theory about Akira and Touka intereaction while lets say Sasaki brings her to headquarters that would be funny. Besides just imagine the teases they can share with one another it's just perfect.

I'm pretty sure Amon will show up b/c of Donato's foreshadowing. You don't foreshadow something so obvious before the raid only to introduce him 50 chapters later when everyone has forgotten about that conversation b/w Donato and Sasaki. Will he be sane? I personally think so if "floppy" is him. But I know that his personality has changed. Amon most likely has thrown his heroic ideals away and has started to see the ghoul side in a different way.

I hope Touka does become relevant before Sasaki remembers who he really is. I want to see them bond again you know.Oh

Oh, I'd love to see some chitchat b/w Touka and Akira

Well I can understand the suspicious of that person, but I wouldn't thought of "Owl." I should have seen signs and even that scanner was a fool you because Kaneki went through it before as well. Well-crafted. The clowns, I remember hearing them but forgot the much earlier one. That said it does make sense though. As for the king, I have no clue. It must be connected to all of this.
