I'm sorry that I missed the point of your question.

 

No, I would not fan-girl him up until the very end, and I would hope that Sakura wouldn't do that either. I like to believe that she's outgrown that, but you never know. I wasn't expecting Karin to run into Sasuke's arms right off of the bat, but look at how that turned out. Not that I will like it, but if Kishimoto does make Sakura into a fan-girl once more, I think there will be a purpose behind it. That purpose being Naruto's final development, where he finally gains Sasuke's acknowledgement and steals Sakura's heart from him. In fact, it seems like he might be setting up for something like that now, given how last chapter ended with some classic Team Seven interaction... It doesn't do Sakura's character any justice, but c'est la vie. I can think of 100 better ways to go about resolving Naruto's development, but it's Kishimoto's story, and if that's the way he wants to go about it then there's nothing we can do.

 

That being said, I think there is a good chance that that won't happen, because Sakura's final development also revolves around Sasuke. To have her fan-girl over him now would be putting her all the way back at square one. She may show some degree of feelings for Sasuke once more, (not necessarily "fan-girling", though at this point, I think the fandom will label anything that Sakura does that involves Sasuke as "fan-girling"), but that's going to come to an abrupt halt as soon as whatever Sasuke is scheming surfaces.

 

Like I said earlier, something is going to happen that will lead to her making a concrete decision about her feelings, one way or the other. The fate of that rests in the hands of both Sasuke and Naruto. For the record, I'll be just as pissed if Naruto doesn't start showing Sakura that he's serious about her as I will be if Kishimoto decides to have Sakura run back to Sasuke. Other than asking her for the occasional date, he hasn't really given her a serious reason to believe that he wants to pursue a romantic relationship with her.

 

Anyway, I don't have a problem with Sakura still looking up to Sasuke to some degree. If I did, I would have to have a problem with Naruto doing the same thing. Sasuke means a lot to both of them, and I think the series is going to end with both of them still feeling, to some degree, that Sasuke is someone they respect. 

 

Agreed, but the fandom is very fickle. As you said, they see anything as fan-girling of any kind from Sakura. The fanbases are terrible when it comes to this and as I said many are out for blood. One wrong move and the entire fanbase blows up. Even here, sad to say.

I foresee bad things in the future, but I am hoping these "bad things" are a cause of raging bias and not because Kishi decided to do something really stupid. You know what I mean? I can defend against bias. That's easy.

However, if Kishi keeps doing these "C-Teases" for the rest of the manga....this war is not gonna be pretty. I hope we don't get a moment that actually has a full purpose, not just a random tease to keep the idea going.

Bolded: This I have no problem with this. It is the point between that and now that worried me and I rather leave it ambiguous till we get to that point. We already know it is coming, why try to reinforce it til then with the kind of "teases" he has been doing?

This is right. There are two very big problems. So I will like to clear out anybody's curiosity for the translation here.

Sakura's seal is NOT "100 Healings seal" in any way, shape or form. Sakura's seal has the word WHITE in it's name. Rough translation is "White Strength Seal". It is different from what we see from Tsunade. Please don't confuse it with Tsunade's technique viz totally messed up! They are very different. Sakura's seal is not the Yin seal. 

Seeing Viz's pattern with calling Tsunade's Byakugou no Jutsu "100 healings", maybe Sakura's could have been translated as "White healing". That would have been more on target.

Let's wait for the upcoming chapters so that Kishi can fully establish what Sakura's seal is and what it does.

 

Second problem that people are seeing is Sasuke's translation "Don't drag us down, Naruto."

Now honestly, it is not a wrong translation. If I saw the words without any context, I would agree that it can be translated as this. But in context, it is not the best choice of translation. 

 

As James says, it's very off character for Sasuke do include Sakura when he is speaking. He speaks directly to Naruto. It's something that is in character for him to say to Naruto. To use the word "us" isn't very like Sasuke.

 

Second as what 六道 says, SS fodder where there wasn't really that much of a moment. It turned Sakura, who's main reaction is with Naruto, to look like something different. 

 

HOWEVER, that translation isn't really wrong. It could have been worse!

 

So all in all "Viz is drunk"!

It would be great to get 5 chapters at a time and have the whole incident happen withen moments, but sadly, like what happened with 615, we don't get that pleasure. Sometimes we get stuck in these useless wars over "assumptions" and while yes, it does get debunked....you still have to put with the week of people going overboard.

Truth be told, with what has happened between 615 and 631. I am exhausted.

It's not like a band-aid that is over when you just rip it off quick.

No, the time when the SS must be dealt with. I know it will end with SS dead, but I also know it won't be over quickly and there will be times that many see Sakura still fangirling Sasuke....whether it be true or a figment of bias. Maybe the "615 of SS" will happen, but....still I am not looking forward too it.

It's like being a soldier knowing you're going to have to traverse a minefield.

That's true too. I mean sure, we will get "SS moment" (note: quote), but it would seem these two will steal the show. I mean it is about them. The best you get from Sasuke to Sakura is her name called and well, if in battle, battle talk. Hm, I wonder...Anyway, just saying.

I actually like the Viz translation since it gives a more clear answer to Sakura's vague "Yes!" near the end. I did feel it was a sort of response to Sasuke since both of them wanted Naruto to focus and not got crazy over stupid things.

 

Also, in the Viz translation when Sasuke said "Don't drag us down" I read it as him referring to the whole team. Sasuke doesn't want Naruto's illogical whining to compromise the team battle formation that they have going on right now. And Sakura agreed on that.

 

Sasuke knows that Naruto is OP as all hell, he even felt uncomfortable feeling his humongous chakra when he was visiting Konoha, so it would be ridiculous to think that Naruto could drag Sasuke and Sakura down power wise.

 

Basically Sasuke tells Naruto that his complaining was distracting and Sakura agreed while adding that what he complained about wasn't even worth it because it didn't mean anything to Sakura either.
