So  I just discovered that there is a new light novel coming out on Christmas written by Yahagi, who wasn't pleased with the ending one bit, and the illustrations will be from Seishi Kishimoto (Author of O-Parts Hunter/666 Satan).  Supposedly this novel will take place in the road to ninja universe written from two character point of views Menma and Sakura.  It will take place immediately after the Road to Ninja Movie showcasing what Menma's gone through after causing a ruckus in the village. His parents Minato and Kushina do the best they can to support him, but Menma feels like he needs to think about what's happened to him.  Sakura, while being considered the child of heroes, has always watched over everything's he's gone through since they were in the academy.  However,  despite Menma's intelligent, he's never realized Sakura's held deep feelings for him  for a long time, and no matter what she vows to whatever it takes help him. Being summoned by Lady Tsunade,  the two are set to head down a dangerous mission in the hidden rain village taken over by a fierce enemy with unimaginable powers of the byakugan and the sharigan. On the cover of the novel Yahagi and Seishi stated how the story has the naruto feel as far comedy and battles go, but they stated this is something they've been wanting to do for a since the manga ended and how the romance plays of equal importance in the story between Menma and Sakura as they go on a mission.

Most likely just trying to cash in on their (current) popularity. Light novels are nothing new but mobile games have really blown up over the years.

The problem is, of course, is that a lot of the mobile games are not very story-driven and so it results in most of such a series being anime-original (which is usually pretty hit-or-miss) and it seems like a lot of them are pretty "meh" quality in terms of animation unless it's really popular or a more well-known studio gets the job or something.

It's kinda funny I was having a conversation about this with a good friend of mine at college and he was like man why do all these Star Wars movies have to focus on the Skywalkers at this points its just pretty annoying to deal with, and how Rey being Luke's daughter would just be so annoying. It's funny cause i brought up Naruto and how the whole series had Naruto's character revolved around Sasuke and how the plot literary focused on Sasuke. Everything about Sasuke got explained in the story and he was the secondary character.  The reason why I'm completely fine with Star Wars primarily focused on the Skywalkers is because well the story revolved around from A New Hope.  Luke was the main protagonist of the original trilogy so it made since to have the series revolved around him. Then with the prequel trilogy it made sense to focus on Anakin Skywalker not because he was Luke's father, but to see how he became Darth Vader.  Not to mention that Kathleen Kennedy stated the Star Wars Films (Episode titles) are about the Skywalkers, and that's another reason I believe Rey is Luke's Daughter because you know generation to generation.

 

 

Anakin Skywalker = Prequel Trilogy

 

Luke Skywalker = Original Trilogy

 

Rey Skywalker (hopefully) = Sequel Trilogy

 

It's the passing of the generation as I've stated before.   The story of Naruto should've been about Naruto and everything regarding him.  It shouldn't be oh yeah he's just the poster child while the secondary character makes all the spotlight, and again it's like making the original trilogy and having the story focused centered on Han Solo and getting everything about his character with Luke Skywalker getting only small doses here and there in the story with Luke finding out his father is Darth Vader offscreen. You know people would be pissed at that. I mean seriously even with Gaiden it was promised that the story would focus on Boruto yet the story focused on who Sarada Uchiha (granted I think she's an okay character), but ya know it focused on not the main character, but his rival's child.  

 

 

But anyway that's my take on the matter.

Yeah, I know what you mean, Tricksie :( It's really tragic nothing else can be done to help highlight the supposed hero of the series, and shows in the end, Kishimoto had no real idea of what he truly wanted. It'd also be like if Goku wasn't the main focus of Dragon Ball and all of it was on, I dunno, Yamcha or Vegeta or someone else! Or Gray as the main focus of Fairy Tail while Natsu is regulated to the sidelines... Or... or.... Crap!! X_X This is so infuriating to think about!

Wasn't Goku originally supposed to die as main to be replaced by Gohan?

 

I like how Oda treats his characters; he gave them just the right amount of screentime without being a wanker, lol. I also liked how Kubo treated his character spotlight at the beginning, but now I'm being introduced to characters I don't care about. Kishi was also good until uchiha wank.

 

Never had any expectations for dragon ball, but Super is a major disappointment character wise.

Well, Sasuke is Kishi`s favorite characterso I guess it makes sense why he would choose to focus on him and his family over the actual main character`s.  He wouldn't be the first writer who was biased to his/her personal favorite

At least my Naruto remake stories will not have these reincarnated Uchiha psychopath family members except one. 

 

Although I must ask. How well if each of this LN are doing financially? Like how many copies have been sold per nover?

I don't know. I heard it's not much when it comes to series not LN original. I don't know if Viz is skipping the other Hiden stories since there was news about them.

The sasuke and itachi novels were not part of the original... 5 or 6 hiden novels so they are announcing these books because they probably already shipped the others.
