There Kyuu. Fixed your mistake.

I'm with Kyuu on this one. If I had to describe Ichigo to someone unfamiliar with the series, it'd be as a Human with the powers of a Shinigami, not the other way around. He accepted Shinigami powers in order to protect his loved ones, but I don't believe he ever truly wants to forsake his humanity.

If anything, I think the way Kubo keeps adding to Ichigo's powers kinda enforces this. He's not just a Shinigami, he's not just a Hollow, he's not just a Vizard/Fullbringer/Quincy. In a way, he's like a link between all the random races and superpowered humans in the Bleachverse. But the thing that makes that role believable is that he's a neutral race underneath it all. He's a human with the power to protect.

I've heard a lot fan theories that Ichigo will leave his family and choose to become a true Shinigami by the end of series, but I just can't see it. He wants the power to protect his comrades, but nothing about his character has ever made me think he'd want any part of SS's bureaucracy.

Just my two cents...

Ichigo is basically ALLLLL the things. Shinigami, quincy, hollow, fullbringer.

I remember a Youtube comment from a long time ago,

Ichigo's main enemy is a Shinigami? Ichigo's a Shinigami.
Ichigo's main enemy is a Hollow? Ichigo's a Hollow.
Ichigo's main enemy is a Fullbring? Ichigo's a Fullbring.
Ichigo's main enemy is a Quincy? Ichigo's a ???

That's something I've been mulling about.... we know for a fact Ichigo is a neutral force among those races. But since wayyyy back then, Ichigo and Ishida had (sort of) stated their dream was to bring the Quincies and Shinigamis together and co-exist peacefully. Now that Ichigo has Hollow powers as well, he may very well wish to create peace with the rulers of HM.

But if he doesn't rise to a position of authority, it may be difficult. However.... what if Ichigo becomes the new King?? I think that this would put Ichigo in a better position to bring peace to all forms of existence.

Him being the CC would've been badass and all, but from the looks of it, things seem to be heading towards Ichigo becoming the Spirit King. It's the only position that can unite all of the races as it essentially rules over all.

Ichigo as the Spirit King? Hmm, that would be interesting. That would be quite a role for him to fill. I still don't think it's quite in character for him to take a role with that much power, but with a little development Kubo could make anything plausible. I just hope this arc lasts a while. sad.gif

Bleach 529

I guess the Isshin Shiba theory was true. Though I guess it seems a little obvious in retrospect.

Young Toshi and Rangiku were funny. I find it kind of odd that they didn't act any different in Ichigo's home back during the Arrancar Arc. Was SS aware of Isshin living in Karakura back then, or did Rangiku and Toshi just not realize they were in their former captain's house? If it's the former, I wonder why no one realized who Ichigo was when he first came to Soul Society. Or maybe they did, there always seems to be random hints fans like to bring up.

SO. Isshin was Rangiku and Hitsugaya's superior. INTERESTING. pictureem0.gif Yet I wonder if they knew Ichigo is his son. You know, what with the way they act around him I assume they don't know or had little respect for their captain. heheelq7.png

So Ichigo is really a Shiba, So his actual name would be Shiba Ichigo, doesn't quite flow from the tongue like Kurosaki Ichigo, but it's good to see the one of the early theories about Issin being related to Issin family being true.

It's amusing to see the young Rangiku and Hitsugaya, though gotta say they must have one hell of a poker face to not let Ichigo know they his dad was their former Taicho....oh this makes Hitsugaya's teasing from Ichigo even more amusing, he's being treated like a kid by his former bosses son...funny.

I'm not sure if anyones mentioned this but doesn't Ichigo's Bankai spirit and the Quincy boss look almost identical to each other only one is older? I didn't take much notice of it before because the allot of charactors looks like other charactors in the manga recently, where before they all looked different (Bleach might be the only manga where I'd say the charactors look worst as the manga's progressed.) But The the Zenpectu and the quincy boss are very similar in look,

I am surprised Hitsugaya was the third seat, as i've always thought he joined the Shinigami ranks after Rukia did, (In Momo's flashback Hitsugaya was still with his gramdma when she joined the academy, where she met Renji who had joined the academy sme time as Rukia, who was later withdrawn once adopted by the Kuchiki,) So this would suggest Rukia also likely knew Issi they are both members of noble families and Rukia had a crush on the her vice-Captain Shiba who was the clan family head so i'm sure Shiba would have mentioned if his family member was a captain. This timeline is so confusing.confusing.

I always kinda felt the Spirit King would be the final antagonist.

chapter thoughts --Click here to view--
Toushirou never met Isshin face-to-face pre-timeskip, if I remember right. Only Rangiku did, after the Dangai training.

I can only think of a few possibilities: Rangiku kept the secret to a select few and Isshin was using a gigai that hides his reiatsu pattern. Even though he became human, the reiatsu pattern should still be existent.

That's why they never realized they barged in their former bosses' house. But I think they did have a hunch Ichigo was Isshin's son. The only other people I think would know from the beginning would be Yama, Shunsui and Uki.

Or it could be what you said, SS knew Ichigo was Isshin's son all along.

I have to admit, the fact that Rukia didn't know that Kaien's uncle was a captain is definitely a plothole.

Bleach 530

Interesting. I was wondering if Masaki would be connected to the Ishidas somehow, given that Ryuuken and Isshin seem to know each other. Now their rivalry makes a little more sense.

Masaki's personality is different than I was expecting. Didn't think she'd be so bubbly...and concerned with food. Reminds me of another character. Can't remember which one though.

Gasp! It's Ichithing again! I wonder how this is going play out. I'd guess the Hollow is going to infect Isshin somehow, and will apparently be passed to Ichigo.

Gah, can't wait for the next chapter. shamefulcry0js.gif

Well, this tied together many things. I'm assuming that Aizen pretty much made the Vasto Lorde somehow manifest within Masaki and fuse with her first born.

So 1: Ichigo is basically a 3rd Shinigami royalty, a 3rd quincy royalty and a 3rd hollow god-tier.

2: Ichigo didn't need an asauchi just like how arrancars don't need them.

3: This pretty much explained how Aizen knew about Ichigo before he was even born.
I really enjoyed this chapter.

I wonder if Kubo is taking some pointers from Kishi. Although I don't think that as Masaki died she went and told Ichigo to find a girl like her. laugh.gif

I was pretty shocked to see how Masaki has some of Orihime's common quirks. And I find it specially funny since it was some weeks ago that some people where discussing about whether Orihime or Rukia is the one Ichigo could potentially end up with romantically.

@Miss Soupy

You really like IchiRuki, don't you? I suppose you could make associations with Rukia when it comes to circumstances, but personality wise Masaki is hilariously similar to Orihime. And then there's the fact that she can heal. Seriously, since when do quincies heal? laugh.gif

Still, I don't think Ichigo will be thinking about romance any time soon. Way out of character for him.

P.S.

I'm calling it now, the maid Katagiri is Uryu's future mother. That Ryuuken totally has a maid fetish. fu.png

No, I don't XD I'm an UlquiHime fan but don't really care about IR (I find Rukia kinda boring). Just bothering Boom about his shipping goggles. I agree Ichigo isnt really romance focused and both sides trying to play shipping comparisons over Misaki is pretty hilarious XD Honestly, Misaki could be compared to Orihime or Rukia, so I fail to see how that is a reliable pairing argument for either case.

I only care about minor pairings in Bleach. Like Hitsugaya/Hinamori and Matsumoto/Gin. love.gif

And judging by the sig of another member here, Kenpachi/Unohana has something going on too. pictureem0.gif

Btw, the rumour about the returning anime, did it really turn out to be fake? If so, I guess I may as well start reading the manga. And also, Boom, thanks for your filler guidance.
