Just a little vent...

Looking for a quick background thing on Narutopedia and came across some really biased stuff on both Naruto's page (about his regard for Hinata) and Sakura's (about her love for Sasuke and her lying to Naruto).

Ugh! I never go to other sites or any of that, but sometimes when I come across something like this and I think, "Are we reading the same thing?"

I know they are just made by random people and it means essentially nothing. But sometimes finding something like that is like a little bomb.

Here I am just reading along, and WHAM! Naruto loves Hinata! Sakura's a liar!

Not bashing or anything, but I can see how people get ticked over pairing crap. Messed up translations and insane wickipedia posts. *sigh*

I won't go into it, but there simply has been no other romantic character development. None! Lots of implied stuff, but none real. It defies logic.

^ Naruto and Hinata don't even have the humorous stuff. Neither does anyone else. Shika/Temari or...or...anyone.

Anyway, I'll really contribute now, since I've taken the time to rant. Catsi and Froot were talking about humor in their relationship. And there does always seem to be a 'summing up' or 'back to normal' moment after the suspense.

The panel with Sakura smiling at Naruto in the ramen stand is interesting. Her whole face fills it up. It very much reminds me of a lot of the Naruto panels in the past. Where he looks like he's going to burst of the page. Well, as the reader, we get to see that little image through Naruto's eyes. That she's going to burst with happiness, good news about her master, and Naruto's the first one she shares it with (it's implied. I don't care if it isn't sound, I'm runnin' with it.). Anyway, no one else get that kind of treatment. It's clear that his happiness makes her happy.

*srsly I spend to much time thinking about this*

I don't trust Narutopedia they seem to be N/H and S/S shippers. And of course Sakura will tell Naruto as the first person about Tsunade knowing how much he means to her and she also knows how much Tsunade means to him. Also people are obviously forgetting that Sakura has become stubborn like part 1 Naruto so its no wonder how much her smiles are resembling Naruto's. Its because she has hang out with Naruto for so long that she has become into a better mature person Naruto guided her to the right path, I will also point out that her becoming stubborn as a positive thing too. tongue.gif

NaruSaku is the one relationship not based around idol worship. Sakura used to ga-ga over Sasuke in the past, as did every girl. That whole idolworship. Hinata does this too to Naruto. Idol worship.

NaruSaku is based more around trust and understanding.

That's easy because N/H and S/S are famous and favorite pairings among people in the west, however in the east (Japan to be exact) N/S is the most famous shipping for a long time, I think ever since part 2 started.

In western culture NH & SS are logical and are usually paired while in eastern culture NS are the same ideal.

I don't know, this, but I don't think Kishi would follow the number of pairing fandoms basing on popularity. He is writing his own story, not because the number of fans or for the sake of fans.
But if he will, then... dry.gif

Trust me, it's not.

Yaoi pairings are more popular for some odd reason.

Agree. And on the top of the pairings is not NaruSasu/SasuNaru, its Kakashi/Iruka. You can see why, despite being a minor character, Iruka is always at the top 10 5 in the Character Polls each year.

its not about the guys making out though thats the reason for its popularity. Theres a long history in japanese story telling and in the culture in general of close relationships between the older male (Sempai) and the junior male (Kohai). In many ways this extends or can extend to both male and female in this regard.

the relationship is about the closeness and bond that forms between them, its not about the sexual component which would ironically be considered innappropriate.

Technically, SasuSaku is still a bit more popular than NaruSaku as of right now, but due to what's happened in the manga about Sasuke almost truly killing Sakura must've been a huge blow to it.

In honest truth, Yaoi pairings are the most popular for some reason dry.gif but at least for the hetero pairings its like this:

SasuSaku
NaruSaku
JiraTsu
...
(after a long long list of yaoi and het)
NejiHina
NaruHina

LOL NaruHina is way below in the list in the het pairings. So even tho the yaoi pairings are more popular the top het pairings at least are that way. NARUSAKU Iz almost THERE XD

I can tell by looking at shipping cosplayers that even in the US narusaku has become significantly more popular than naruhina since part 2 of the manga began, and in the past couple of years I've started to see more narusaku cosplayers at anime conventions than sasusaku shipper cosplayers, it's pretty much drawing equal with the SasukexNaruto shipper cosplayers now. And yes, JiraTsu shipper cosplayers seem to be right behind narusaku shippers in numbers at anime cons. That pairing also took a jump since part 2 began. Surprisingly, I haven't seen any AsumaxKurenai or MinatoxKushina shipper cosplayers at anime cons. I have seen a couple of Yahiko PainxKonan shipper cosplayers though at anime cons in the past year, though.

Lol, I don't know why Hinata still so overhyped on the anime. Guess people aways liked her better as character then pairing material.

I don't think numbers matter at all. NH/SS/SN/SH whatever could be the most popular pairings, with NaruSaku only having one lone fan, and it would still have far more development than any other het pairing. Numbers really don't matter.
