Anywho, I just had sudden inspiration to write about temperature and weather, because it's scorching outside and I hell don't want to go and put the clothes out

Oh yeah, on a side note, most of the stuff I mention will be about New South Wales, Sydney, since that's where I live. Stuff varies over the states, cities and everything.

We're at Sydney too and I agree, too bad the weather just can't seem to make up its mind. 1 day its raining kittens, the next its hot like a dessert. >.<

Temperature & Weather

Sooooo.... everyone knows about Australia being hot, right? Like, hole in the ozone layer and everything? The sun is pretty strong down here - sometimes at school, on a really hot day, you can see that watery mirage thing you usually see on the roads and in the desert, but on the playground. Most of the time in NSW it's the sun that's the bother, not so much the actual humidity. When you're really deep into summer, the wind is scorching and hot and icky and flopping down on the bed is impossible because your shirt would basically get stuck to your back

If it gets really hot, like, really hot, you don't have to go to school. I don't know about the workplace, but if it gets over 41°C (105.8°F - that big number is making me gulp, lol ) you can have your parents pick you up from school, or not go at all. It's a safety thing, because some people can get heat stroke . I only remember one instance where it hit 41°C in NSW. I think I was in Year 5 or 6 (I have no idea what American's call it - it's the 5th/6th year in 'elementary' school after kindergarten) so that makes it... 2004 or 2005. At the end of the day, including me, there were only 8 people left in class.

Usually, the average temperature around here in Sydney is around 15°C (59°F) to 25°C (77°F). That's about average for autumn and spring. In summer, it's a bit hotter - usually about 25°C to 35°C (95°F). It hasn't been as hot this year in summer - the hottest day was actually during autumn or something. It's fine as long as you stay home and don't stay out on the streets. Except when it's really humid and the wind is hot. Then you're in trouble. Fans out and air con on! Winter is more of around 13°C (55.4) to 20°C (68°F). Winter's not all that bad if you know how to dress. As long as you have a jacket or something, you'll live.

It rains every now and then. There used to be a drought but I think it's stablised now. Usually it rains for a few hours one day, stops, and then continues the following few days. Like every other country and place, I think God, you should see the rain sometimes. Full on side ways, heavy rain. The streets - you can see water currents. It's not quite a flood, possibly not even as bad as some major storms in other countries, but to us it's like, crap, grab the clothes, shut the windows, pray that your car is safe in the garage. Several times, my mum and I went down to the garage to find this humongous puddle of water by the drain. Clogged and stuff.

There haven't been any floods, earthquakes or natural disasters in Sydney for a while now. I've never experienced any to date and I'm fifteen years old. There might have been some a few cities away or something but I'm not very updated with the news.

It's really easy to get sunburnt in Australia - I think that's apparent everywhere. Go to the beach on a sunny day, you'll probably get sunburnt. I've never been sunburnt before, actually - maybe a little bit that barely qualifies as sunburnt. I remember when I was a kid, my dad took me to Bondi Beach and his back was like, red, peeling skin and all. He was rubbing it against the wall, I remember :rolleyes:

I was going to write something about the drought we had but I can't remember anything about it except for the fact that Mum kept kicking me out of the shower early. There were no restrictions (like, no water suddenly cutting off) but it was a pretty big issue. It was getting serious, I think, but then it started raining like mad and we all lived happily every after

Ah, good old T-shirts. At the moment, I've only got one summer set of PJs, and I'm basically wearing it every night. Like, I'm changing my clothes in the morning (usually I just stay in my PJs if I don't need to leave the house) just so my PJs won't get all dirty and smelly. I do not want to wear a fluffy winter long sleeve to sleep in summer

My teefy are being mean again One of the braces popped/broked/being an ass again. Lucky it's not really noticeable and doesn't bother me, cos the ortho's place is closed for a week or something for Christmas But I'm back to munching chocolate now

Actually, I doubt it's my dentist's problem. My teeth are, like, big, big mess. In out, in out. So basically, I've got teeth that got like this: - _ - _ - Well, maybe not so many, but a couple of my lower front ones are like that. Now try stretching wire between all of 'em. Sooner or later, they're gonna pop - and it's really annoying when they pop!

My dentist says he's gonna start using special glue next time it pops! Like, super glue!! even though i think it's super glue already

ah, Jet. i was actually starting to like him when he came back! AND HE DIED!!! he got smashed by a rock and got DEADED! TwT hmm, but i didn't know Smellerbee was a girl.... 8D;

Gah! two episodes into Book 3 and the Kataang is well into action! it's sweet and all but... for some reason, i'm under some strange notion that the guy should always be older and taller than the girl. it's just.... it's stereotypical and all the other romances are like that and that's why i was staring at Aang and thinking, "shorteeeee" At ze moment, i think i'm swaying a bit more to the Zutara side... krisk brainwashed me

da guru. gawd, the guru. Aang finally had someone who could help him (and well, he did help him) and good ol' guru disappears after two episodes. i thought he was going to be like, an adviser he could return to or something. but he was a funny guy, you gotta admit 8D

Azula... just at episode 2 of book 3 at the scene where Zuko barges into her bedroom, i was thinking, hmm, Azula looks better with her hair down and stuff. random thought of the day. she has her hair in a ponytail when she sleeps. she's pretty manipulative. crazy about power and stuff.

I'm sorta like, finish with the body wash first (ever since in my old house the hot water got cut off while i was showering, i learned to always wash the body first; hair doesn't sneeze and have runny nosey D:) and then i just stand around and think of stuff. then i snap out of it and can't remember if i've done the soap yet, so i go through the body wash again and then reach for the shampoo. and sometimes, i snap out of it and skip the shampoo stage altogether. i dive straight into conditioner and sort of realise something's wrong when my hair is still all tangled and rough XD;

The conditioner. The CONDITIONER. oh boy. I hardly ever put enough but when I do... the hair just sorta goes all slippery and so do your fingers and it takes forever to get everything off. And i use a hairdryer, so if i haven't washed it off properly, my fingers get all sticky with excess conditioner. i can't remember how many times i shoved my hair into the sink to wash with cold water. *shakes head*

... but it's sorta weird if you don't use the conditioner. it's like brushing your teeth - gotta use the conditioner! D8<

krisk played flute?! didja run outta air? they tried teaching me how to play the keyboard but i was horrible and had no musical talent. the only piece I actually got around to learning was Ode to Joy, and for that one all you do is go down the keys one by one and come up again - sorta like how you swipe your hand down the piano and get that crescendo sound. I sucked at music 8D

seriously pammy wammy, i've got a HUGE lung capacity-- i think it's cos i used to swim alot when i was younger. me and my cousins would always do "LETZ HOLD OUR BREAFS AND WHOEVER DOESN'T DROWN LAST WINS!" games.... so i had practice. XDDD

XDDDDD hahahahha that's awesome still. i know a few people who just GIVE UP before even considering it. at least ya tried it. XDD me myself played piano (still do but not as much anymore) -- i was forced as a kid and it sucked. i had an attention span of a chopstick. so i really didn't like having to sit there and repeat things. but eh, i guess i'm thankful-- i could play by ear really well a few years ago, but eh i just play things that are easier and have repeating stanzas :/

I'm sorta like, finish with the body wash first (ever since in my old house the hot water got cut off while i was showering, i learned to always wash the body first; hair doesn't sneeze and have runny nosey D:) and then i just stand around and think of stuff. then i snap out of it and can't remember if i've done the soap yet, so i go through the body wash again and then reach for the shampoo. and sometimes, i snap out of it and skip the shampoo stage altogether. i dive straight into conditioner and sort of realise something's wrong when my hair is still all tangled and rough XD;

The conditioner. The CONDITIONER. oh boy. I hardly ever put enough but when I do... the hair just sorta goes all slippery and so do your fingers and it takes forever to get everything off. And i use a hairdryer, so if i haven't washed it off properly, my fingers get all sticky with excess conditioner. i can't remember how many times i shoved my hair into the sink to wash with cold water. *shakes head*

... but it's sorta weird if you don't use the conditioner. it's like brushing your teeth - gotta use the conditioner! D8<

and same here-- hair dryer is used when i gotta get out the door (like for class) and when i do, i always make sure to have washed all the conditioner out cos if not, MY HANDS WILL BE STICKY. LIKE YOURS. and then my scalp will be sticky too. and it's all A WASTE OF A GOOD MORNING. D8

but when i don't hair-dry, i feel better just air-drying-- it doesn't bother me that much. XDDD

Zuko contemplates staying in Earth Kingdom after feeling really low about what he had done but Azula convinced him to go home because who knows what they'd do to dear poor Uncle DX So Zuko had to go to make sure Uncle was okay. Before they leave for the ship mabob, Jin seeks Zuko out and sees him with Mai. Mai scares Jin off and pushes Zuko into the fountain and say "now we're even". Zuko goes gaga and they kiss. Thus Maiko is born and why it must sink. like now. no, like yesterday. kthxbai.
