Another Old-school:

Sonic Battle: 8/10

Despite the crazy nonsense of "Oh! Sonic in a fighting game is WAY too violent because that's like adding Mickey Mouse with violence" from Sega back then when Sonic the Fighters came out in the arcades, somehow they ignored it and went to the idea for the Gameboy Advance. While the Advance series was getting strong, this game has some wonders. The story is one of the last great Sonic story after Sonic Adventure 2, basically started off with Sonic finding a robot who can copied abilities, soon to be known as Emerl. But then trouble and crazy antics will follow Emerl as he learn about his power and identity.

The story has alot of homages and has very funny scenes (I mean it.), despite that is NOT canon to the original games' story. (Though I wish it was.)

Now for gameplay, very simple yet complex. Despite the controls, the camera system is bad (which makes you very vunerable) when fighting, sometimes it will be frustrating to beat an opponent, especially the robots when you are trying offense, defense and healing strategies. (Happens in Story Mode)

Now, Battle mode is the high point with the 4 player battle. There are only 10 characters to play which is only include the major popular characters (I wish Espio was in the game, back then he returned to the series yet he was a perfect character to play since he was in Fighters, and Eggman was in, why isn't he playable?). Emerl can be customize with all of the 9 characters moves and abilities (why didn't they bring the customization mode outside of story mode?)

Sound... while there's no switchable voices from English to Japanese (Damn you Sega!), however, the soundtrack for the game is, I think, the first to be enhanced. Normally, GB sounds and music are like 8-bit, but Battle, along with Advance 2 and 3, has music that is almost over 16-bit. I can hear drums, synth, piano, sighs, etc. in the soundtrack and most of the music are catcy enough to be rearranged... if there's a sequel, which is highly now impossible thanks to Sega's recent attitude of the series.

Oh I would've wish for a sequel of Sonic Battle on the DS or the PSP (with better modes and controls!)

Resident Evil 5 (XBox 360)-10/10
This game is the ****, it takes everything that made Resident Evil 4 so great and improved on it. Not to mention having an AI (or Player) partner to play with you is really cool too. This is an early candidate for Game Of The Year 2009.

Gta IV: The Lost And Damned (Dlc expansion exclusive for X360 ) 10/10

Wow... that was one heck of a ride. While people might be a bit squemish to pay 20$ for dlc..... I'll say this. its worth every penny.
The dlc is ridiculous in its scope. with 21 story missions and tons of sidequests , gang wars, races etc...... most people will clock in
atleast 10-12 hrs minimum (16+ hours if you try to finish everything. Myself i'm on my 20th hour....). Thats the length of some full price games....
And since this expansion stars a completely different character it really feels like a different game.

Unlike Gta IV, TLAD is a lot more action packed. the game features a lot of additional gameplay systems like the
cool formation riding bikers gangs. nothing beats riding to battle with 4-5 bikers riding alongside you. Also...... The protoganist already has
established relationships with his buddies right from the start. So no need to take them to shows etc to get them to do favours for you....
Another thing that rocks is that its a lot harder to fall off bikes now. This might be due to the fact that you play a biker in this game.

Theres tons of more additions to the game that i would have to write a couple of pages to mention lol. But ill tell you this....
with new weapons, vehicles, new multiplayer gametypes and even new music on the radio stations and tv shows..... you get a lot of stuff from this 1.8 GB download.

I must say this though.... While Johnny Klibitz's story might not be better than Niko Bellic's..... Its definately worth visitng liberty city for a 2nd time.
Who knows ? you might even meet Niko and other familiar faces in your travels smile.gif (specially since this game runs in parellel to Gta IV )

Note:- this game is not meant to be played by anyone younger than 18. even more so than Gta IV. It can get very graphic at times. Dont say i didn't warn ya tongue.gif

Assassin's Creed: 7/10

AC Spoilers To Follow. Read at your own risk. --Click here to view--
It's a fine game in it's own right, and it tries rather hard to be original. But with any game trying something new, it gets a few parts wrong.

Missions are incredibly repetetive, with the exact same missions to do in every city. The only ones that are different are the very last two, and they pretty much just involve killing a lot.

Beggar women and Drunks are completely useless characters, and have caused me to screw up more than a few missions.

The actual assassination part is rather small, and it's basically impossible to act like a true assassin, because there are just so many enemies at all times. Killing the way you're supposed to is only really possible if you spend hours thinking of strategy, mapping routes, reading guides, and watching videos. This is annoying.

One of the biggest flaws I found is that it ends right as the story truly starts. I know it's going to be split up into multiple games, and the story will continue in them, but it gets annoying when every other game that's released decides that they need to expand their universe. You can make do with one game. It's been done for decades now. There's no reason to keep us waiting for years at a time for the next part of the story.

Phantasy Star Portable (PSP) - 10/10

Continues right after the PS2 game series, lots of action packed in such a small package.

Dissidia: Final Fantasy (PSP) 10/10

FF characters from different series dueling. Awesome. I'm playing the JP version, since the US version isn't out yet. D:

Killzone 2-PS3 9.5/10

Pros: The best graphics ive seen on a console, The Multiplayer can hang with the best of em, nice mix of abilities to use, solid campaign, great physics, and the best exclusive FPS on the PS3.

Cons: Bad Voice Acting besides the villain, The Story is Meh, and the controls can take a bit to get used to.

Not a Halo Killer by any means,(though probably nothing can kill it anyway) but one of the best games this generation, and 2nd only to MGS4 concerning PS3 exclusives imo.

Hmm...I actually finished it awhile back (bought it used at a game store), but Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater ranks at in the top ten in my book, easily one of the better games I've played in my time as a gamer. The game's storyline connects so many points together in the later games, and though I haven't played the first one or fourth one, I know enough of the storyline to see the beauty behind Hideo Kojima's genius. I recommend to anyone that has a working PS2 and likes a good action game to get this. For those who liked Metal Gear Solid 4 or any of the others, it may be hard to find, but MGS3 is worth it.

MGS3-10/10 easily

Assassin Creed I fished it and I give it a 9/10

It is a great game play with throwing knives and stuff like that. The eagle vision was pretty cool actually.

Game play was kind stupid but it was pretty kick ass compared to other stuff I have seem *The Simpsons Game*.

10/10

It's God of War, nuff said. It held me over until we get God of War III.

Btw, RyrineaHaruno. The beggar and drunks were added to have to game in a more realistic sense... It's a bustling city, of course there would be people begging and drunk and trying to screw up your process.

It's really not that bad.

Fallout 3 (Xbox 360): 9/10

Man this game is so much fun. The environment is really well constructed and the amount of in game interaction is nearly limitless. Just exploring the universe provides enough game play to keep you occupied for hours (and not get bored!). Then comes the multiple ways to handle your character and the unique way of setting up and creating your own identity. The countless ways you can experiment and make a design specific to your interest just proves how much effort the creators put into the game to keep it entertaining at every point and aspect. Also the 50's theme and just the dire grim state of things makes it really fun as you explore and traverse through the landscape and different areas of D.C. Only reason it didn't get a 10/10 is because I have yet to fully complete the game and the fact that it keeps distracting me from my school work and neglecting other duties is causing my good karma to drop!

Unlimited Saga 2/10

A board game meets RPGs. That's it's catch. And it's curse. Take aside the awful voice acting. Take aside the awful story. Take aside the fact that you can't understand the SP and HP factors. The weapon durability and how skills deteriorate them. Take aside the fact that even the cutscenes are primitive.

It's awful. It's garbage. For 5 quid , I feel robbed. So robbed.

Here's the deal. You have 8 characters , all of them with different stories and different endings. None of them will match the other and will leave you confused to say the least.

Their mission? Find the eight wonders so they can get their reward.

In the cast of MARVELOUS characters that SquareEnix ( More like SquareZero ) had created :

A magical girl with 8 years of age , a Micheal Jackson wannabe that looks a lot more girly then the original and wears a lot of pink , a dude who's a knight who wears PINK overalls , a messenger boy WHICH IS THE COOLEST character in the roster if it wasn't it's constant stereotypical animé whine and sobbing, " I must avenge my brother " or the over the top lady slobberknocker " I don't have time to love. I only have time to work and avenge my brother. ", a ex-pirate who married some rich dude and now she's suffering a middle-age crisis hyped by the fact her husband died, a chipmunk furry-humanoid and a fortune teller who gets herself in trouble because of her fake predictions.

Even if you have to courage and stupidity to plunge deeper in the story , that courage will only betray you to the point you'll want to commit suicide once you go into the WONDERS.

Yes. WONDERS OF THE WORLLLLD. Where you receive the MAGICAL ITEMSSSS. And that'll trigger...MEAN PEOPLE WHO WANT SAID MAGICAL ITEMMMMMS.

You like pink? You like pink in ridiculous amounts? Especially slapped on men? You like clichéd story plots with loop holes that'll leave you DEAD mentally? This game is for you. Or if you're out of sleeping pills to kill yourself.

But...

Yeah...It doesn't deserve a 0 , because of it's music and the Reel System.

Pretty much the Reel System is a game of roulettes you can stop utilizing the X button....And that kinda...makes the game more active, I guess?

But the Reel System is based on LUCK and how your character's 'Skill Tree' is made. Pretty much you're gonna die. A lot of times.

Because this game will look at you and spit at you. And then will proceed to stab your luck. With a rusty nail cutter. In the throat.

*flings this garbage though the window*

Do yourself a favour. Don't buy this game. Don't get this game. DON'T LET YOUR FRIENDS GIVE IT TO YOU.

Give it to your dog to chew. Actually I think my uncle's dog almost died just by licking the box. Just throw it out.

....I hate you SquareEnix.

Yeah. I'm peeved.

The King of Fighters XI: 9/10

Now I saw this on sale at Toys R Us and I decide to get it. And its a good worth, despite it was $15 (cheap! tongue.gif )

The game is good, (except the series continues it SNK-syndrome bosses, that damn Magaki is so DAMN cheap >_< and the AI system is cheap too...) but Challenge mode is the replay value at best (better than King of Fighters 2006 -Maximum Impact 2- Challenge Mode) so with the original cast that was in the Arcade version, Challenge will help you unlock extra characters such as Mai and Geese, both and other unlockable characters were extracted from NeoGeo Battle Colliseum. The art work is nice, gameplay is balance despite the 47 character limit, and has some decent tunes (the team's theme with Benimaru and Elizabeth is catchy).

For those who are awaiting for KOF XII to come out this summer, I recommend to buy this game first. Worth the buy. biggrin.gif

I'm usually an easy mark for giant robots; sometimes you just need to play a game with giant robots blowing everything in sight to scrap. So I rented this. Cue mixed reactions. It was a decent enough time, but the lack of any real story and a weird layout for the mech customization led to it being a barely satisfying experience.

God of War: Chains Of Olympus-PSP 10/10

I never got around to playing it before but I took advantage of its recent price cut. The Angry spartan brings his wrath to the PSP with everything that you loved about the PS2 games. the Graphics are best ive seen on a PSP and the gameplay is still satisfying, and it brings some neat challenges to complete. My only gripe is that its SO DAMN SHORT. I beat it in a few hours, and it left me hungry for more, I was really enjoying it.

But nonetheless its a Fantastic addition to the series, and now we can only wait for the Epic PS3 Finale.
