Out of all the shounen manga I read, I can see no greater future battles than the one coming up in OP. I can't believe the level they've suddenly introduced as normal at the moment, so Luffy has some way to go if he wants to end up on top. I wonder what Ace will do if it eventually ends up with Strawhats Vs. Whitebeard pirates. Can the Mugiwara pirates stand up against the battle force evident from this chapter? What the hell is Whitebeard's power anyway, and what's it's limits?

Next week can't come fast enough!

it appears akainu's power is related to volcanic magma. and oz's descendant is with whitebeard. not looking good for the marines.

Wow. Oz has a living descendant, that uses a sword the size of a battle ship. I am pleased.

This fight is crazy. Luffy and his crew, while still awesome, aren't even in the same league as most of these guys. I mean, somebody that can recover from ANY attack? A character strong enough to pick up an ENTIRE ICEBERG, and throw it? Volcano powers?!

Bah, just wait for Usopp's newest adition to the "Usopp Spell" attack. Or let's leave Chopper in his "Brain Point" form long enough to find a weak point in the admirals, then have him DESTROY THEM.

I can't wait to see Oda explain the concept of Haki better. We know Luffy has the Haoushoku haki, so the rest of the Strawhats will probably have something different. How will their haki-enhanced powers help them in the future? Can Zoro BE any more awesome now? Or Sanji? I'm not sure, but I sure as hell can't wait to find out. I wonder how Luffy will play his role in this...

Wow, Oz's descendant is a gentle giant. Didn't see that coming. Felt pretty bad for him at the end of the chapter, too. Hit with a Ursus Shock point blank, and then getting his leg cut off. Ouch.

But it does give us insight into Doflamingo's powers. He most likely uses some kind of strings/wires for his attacks, which is pretty scary.

And the Straw Hats are going to come back way stronger, obviously. They're all in the exact place they need to be to gain power. But that's when they come back. Right now, they're guppies in a see of sharks.

Oh, and Ace was adopted, so he'd be Luffy's foster brother. Step siblings are through marriage.

Oh bloody hell, Luffy's devil fruit saves him again. Why couldn't I be rubber? Huh? HUH?

Anyway, this chapter was awesome. It still sucks that we have to wait another week to see Luffy save Ace by crushing three admirals and Sengoku with his Kage Bunshin in Bankai mode, but I'll wait in my happy place of glee. ;D

Pretty sure Luffy will make Sengoku's plans fail. Maybe he can go Gears 3 or master Haki if he wants to compete with the high-tiers in this fight. Will Garp sacrifice himself to save his grandson? I'm hoping after this fight the government will drop out of the story. We've still got two unknown Yonkou and the plots with Dragon and Blackbeard unresolved. I'm sure Smoker will chase Luffy all the way to Raftel, but aside from that I can't see the marines place in the plot.

And laundry devil fruit...? Really Oda? Come on don't turn into Kishi with that....

Looks like Doflamingo isn't so bad anymore getting elbowed to the face by Luffy. Yeah It looks like next chapter will be the real fight.

One Piece 557 wont be out this week due to the manga author taking a week break. It should be out next week.

As long as it doesn't turn into another Hiatus X Hiatus, I'm alright with it. Yoshihiro Togashi is unforgivably slow with his releases, as he has yet to tell anyone what the hell is going on. At the very least, Hunter X Hunter has nothing to do in Shonen Jump anymore, so they should clear Togashi's spot and let someone else get a chance in the big leagues.

I have no doubt Oda will complete One Piece though. The only thing that could change this, is for the ratings to take a sudden dive.

I know what you mean bro but Togashi is pretty much a God to them on the level of Toriyama so the chances are very unlikely. He'll probably release like 10 chapters a year if he gets bored or something.

Now that To LOVE Ru has ended (NOOOOOO FFFFFFFF ) it looks like WSJ has another spot up for grabs so maybe he'll come back to fill up the gap? We can hope.
