Akira showed the no gesture telling Pite that he did not saw them...
"well i think i'll do my mission see ya!And pite ran away...

Weird guy... Akira thought... Maybe he is related to our sensei.
Akira could'nt refrain from laughing a little bit at the thought of that.

He turned around to his teammate again, who was already busy eating a lot.

"Hm, Menrui-san? What do you think of Rei?"

Menrui was too engrossed in the udon (OOC -- just remembered, this is sometimes referred to as a 'fat noodle ramen' by some American Japanese restaurants, which may cause some confusion) to pay any attention. Instead, he seemed rather intent on sipping the broth and adjusting it, calling for a dash of daikon, more scallions, or applying various condiments (usually, chili powder -- a LOT of chili powder) to season it just right. The ramen chef across the stand looked absolutely terrified every time he said anything, however.

Keiichi wakes up for a few seconds. "...Aw screw this. I'm not even getting up today..." He rolls over away from the window, onto his right side, pulls the covers up to his neck, & goes back to sleep, dreaming happy dreams such as killing mist nin and finally getting a girl friend.

Akira closed his eyes for a second.

How troublesome... and I thought Rei was the big eater of our team.

"Tell me when you have finsihed eating and are ready to go visit the Hall of Records!" Akira almost screamed at Menrui, to make sure he take notice this time.

He then turned to his own ramen again, and started eating.

(OOC: Probably not until tomorrow, Gaara. I figure that'll take a bit of time to storyline out, and I've only got about an hour before I'll essentially have to quit for a while. By the time I get back, then, you'll probably be gone, yourself... so, until then, I'm just playing Menrui comically. And he isn't a BIG eater -- he's a very, very, VERY picky eater... at least when it comes to noodle dishes)

Menrui, still intent on his noodles and on berating the poor ramen cook, didn't even notice he was being yelled at. Instead, he demanded a different type of chili flakes, since the ones he was using as a condiment weren't strong enough.

[OOC: Hm, I don't get it, what will take time? However, that's no proplem of course. I just don't know what to do instead, and I'm exciting about how the story will progress. But it's ok if we continue this tomorrow, there's no need to rush.
Also, I would like to have Menrui being a funny guy, since Akira is more of a silent lazy thinker, and Rei is more a Sasuke type.)

After almost an hour of eating they both finally had had enough. Well, rather Akira had already finished his ramen off after 10 minutes, but Menrui, although he ates faster, has ordered so much food, it took him an hour.

"So, I see you finally have had enough, hm? Maybe we can check out the Hall of Records now?"

(OOC: So much food? It's not any more then you had, it's just much more complex a recipe. I'll send you the recipe, if you like -- it's for kitsune udon w\ tempura, and the recipe I have serves four -- and my character was just being fussy about how it was prepared, not ordering an incredible amount of it. It's like saying "I want exactly six ounces of steak, seasoned with exactly one teaspoon of garlic salt and half a teaspoon of paprika, cooked precisely to an internal temperature of 145 before left to rest for precisely five minutes." It's still just six ounces of steak, but it sounds a lot more complex. It's still just one bowl of noodles, but it sound a lot more complex)

Menrui glares at the ramen cook suspiciously, but nods slowly. "Yeah... I suppose I can let this man go for the moment. But I'll be back, and you'd better learn how to make a PROPER kitsune udon by then! Got it?"

[OOC: LOL, ok, sorry.]

So Akira and Menrui went to the big Hall of Records to gather some information.
As the entered Akira opened his arms.

"Ahh, the great Hall of Records. I like it here. You get all the information you want. The only question is always, where to begin?"

"Well," Menrui considered. "I suppose we should look up the person we're supposed to be working for, first. His personnel record should be here, if he was ever a ninja, but if he wasn't his records would be under the client database. I think I'll check the client list for Makiru Gin if you would go through the personnel files. Um... try looking for our 'sensei' as you look, though, would you? I'm convinced there's something wrong with him, and wonder if it might be in the public records."

[Gaara]

Akira nodded in agreement and immediately began his search through the halls.
On his way he read a lot of names. He wanted to search for Gin first, but since K was before M, he stopped at this letter.

"Menrui-san!", Akira called his teammate over.

"I found something. That's the record for our sensei. Nothing too suspicious here. Although... it says, Shiramaku-sensei is only Jounin on probation. He had complications with the Konoha council... whatever that means...?"

Menrui comes over, carrying a file of his own, and reads over Akira's shoulder. "Hm. What strikes me the most is the phrase, under the medical report, 'cautioned about overkill techniques' despite his having been cleared as mentally fit. That tells me that while he was cleared, they had definite reservations about him. I'm not as sure they should have cleared him, given how he's been acting. And it sounds that he's a few months younger then I am, as I thought. Interesting."

He paused. "And I have here the file on Gin. Um... why are genin like us being sent to run 'chores' for this creep?" Menrui opened his own file, handing it to Akira.

(OOC: I'll be out intermittently today, but I should be able to respond periodically, even if I won't necessarily be able to right away. Um, I've gone back and forth on what I wanted the file to say -- I was going to have Gin be a known pedophile, given what we saw of his behavior in our team thread, but I thought that might be a little strong of an issue to deal with in a game like this. I'm willing to deal with it, but I'll make it your and Tatsu's call, Gaara. Which is why you get to write up the file on him, after all... (heh... sorry.))

[OOC: I'm going to the movies, and will be off now for some hours too. Maybe shirafuji can write Gins record too. If not... I will think of something later.]

"Hmm... I don't quite understand that... he wasn't a ninja, but even so, he has fought the Kyuubi and he attempted to become Hokage. ... Anyway, it seems as if he is a very troublesome guy."

"'Troublesome?' Yeah, I guess that's an okay word," Menrui sighed. "How can a non-ninja even get a mission in the first place? Hm... but if he ever made a serious attempt to become hokage, maybe my mother would know him. She was a serious contender to become hokage at that time, as well...."

(OOC: I wasn't ever planning of having my 'Sakana-san' and 'Menrui' characters meet in a serious way, but it seems rather unlike my character NOT to at least talk to 'mom' when we face a situation like this)

[OOC: Yeah, I mean, I'd like to return to our team thread soon and continue the "main" story with our full team, but I think it's a good idea to visit Menruis mum, as long as we can go back to our team thread after that.]

"Then we should go and ask her. Lead the way." Akira suggested.
