I highly doubt the author wants that he's not Kishi. I can see him extending story introducing new demons stronger than Muzan while giving a 2 or 3 year time skip where Tanjiro and everyone are Pillars along with Nezuko.

Nezuko won't get eaten. There is no appeal for Muzan anymore since he can only absorb powers from other demons. Tanjiro is MC so unless he is not driving the story anymore he won't die.

You never know if she could retain any of her powers.

I honestly do not think Gotōge would create characters just to leave them helpless or useless. Thats what I love about this manga is that everyone plays a part no matter how big or small, that leads to something important in the end.

Lol you know what is ironic about that actually? Kishi really took too many notes from famous manga back when Naruto first started. I recall that he stated when Naruro started he took inspiration from many manga/anime. The problem was not that he lacked understanding of the success of others great manga/ anime, he just lacked conviction in writing what he truly wanted because he was trying to be a crowd pleaser instead of writing his own vision. Not to mention he had some naive delusions of his characters and tried to justify his them in his writing when it contradicts and contrast the story he was building. Im just saying

Problem is he was too incompetent and doesn't have a backbone to tell what not to do. Listening to his editors no matter and then came the NH fanbase it got worse. Whatever the damage is done, he will never be redeem in the eyes of the Japanese fans.

Oh, I know. I'm just saying it's not taking notes from other manga artists that was the problem, he was just consumed by the "appeal to popularity" fallacy. He listened to his editors without putting in his own thoughts nor fighting harder for his own ideas and that's why Naruto failed in the end. That's all I'm saying. But no matter, let's not dwell on garbage and the reasoning for said garbage. Back on topic

ship maybe gone. but like I said, I don't care too much for that ship because of how possessive and entitled the male is acting. If they become canon fine by me, I'm just not up for it. It is kind of like Zenitsu X Nezuko for me in all honesty

I prefer Tanjiro X Mitsuri or Giyu X Misturi over Mitsuri X Obanai lol. Well Tanjiro X Mitsuri is not more importanat than Tanjiro X Kanao though. No ship takes precedence over Tanjiro X Kanao in my opinion
