Honestly, I think everyone has just called him Ken. I think that they're pretty close as it is, but I think that calling him "sh*tty Kaneki" is more touching than calling him by his first name lol

So I finally finished the anime of season 1 and I gotta say the animation was pretty good, sure it wasn't AOT status but it's passable. The voice acting from all the characters were really wow just mind blowing. Now when it comes to how SP handled adapting the manga into an anime, this might be me but I felt like the pacing was kinda rushed like they skipped moments from the manga.

As far as I remember, the doves don't have her name. I don't think there was a reason to change it, especially after they moved. Same with Renji.

Awesome! I agree with pretty much everything you said. The animation was good- when the characters did mimimal or no movements at all. I personally was disappointed with the animation of the last fight. Don't get me started on the censoring! But the voice acting is just phenomenal. Kaneki's voice actor is perfect! My favorite moments "voice acting moments" was the scene in which he talks to Touka at the end of episode 1, his discussion with Yoshimura at the end of episode 2, and the whole torture scenes. Them feels.

I also love the music. I'm quite addicted to the opening tbh XD

At least you know now why people were so unsatisfied with season 1. I can safely tell you that to 90% they'll conclude the Aogiri Arc (Ch.71 and 103 bones ) and will start off with the orginal material right after Ch.79. Some of it will be filler in my opinion.

Well, Renji was never really an official "worker". He just worked in the background. Hmm... did Suzuya and Sunohara maybe ask for her name when they asked Touka about Kaneki's whereabouts?

Lol, I'm already imagining their conversations, their date would be like, their romantic moments, their wedding... I'm helpless XD

How is that possible to ship someone so hard after this disastrous Naruto ending?!

Ishida could have just left this single page out b/c it wasn't really any substantial to the whole chapter but he nevertheless did it. Teasing us fans like that! Although, the last bit of Sasaki's dialogue at least let's Touka know now that she has to be careful. I wish I would have seen Renji again T_T Did Touka call Renji "oni-sama" before that?

I've already told my brother to read the series, and I'm gonna make sure he will start it before I leave off to college again. Are you gonna recommend the series to anyone? Like you cousin Ria?

I think the blu-ray version is uncensored. I mean I've seen enough animes that were worse and weren't censored to that kind of extent as TG!

SP did a good job with this one. Also, I think it was more effective that Kaneki's hair turned white after he ate Rize. That's probably the one aspect of the Aogiri Arc so far that I think was better in the anime than in the manga. But omg, those torture scenes...

I'm kind of laughing XD "103 bones- nuff said" That is soo from Forneverworld He's so hyped about it! Right now, I'm also waiting for Sawyer7mage to get into TG, and oh yeah, AoT, too! I wonder why he isn't reading the manga to it... I know he's a graduate student, but still... I didn't give the fillers a chance mainly b/c I wanted to catch up with the anime. I didn't know though that the fillers were written by him. Btw, this may have been asked a ton of times already, but still: Why did the Bleach anime end?

As for Bleach and the anime ending, the one thing I can say is that they had literally caught up to the chapter the manga was initially at. So they decided to call off the anime instead of jumping into filler, but I have a feeling it'll return they're just waiting for the final arc. I mean you can't have an anime end somewhere and not continue it when there's one more arc left (except for the Rave Master anime )

As for Season 2 I'm really looking forward to it, the first episode comes out next week right? btw from what I've seen so far for Season 2 I'm glad with what they are doing, and really happy that Ishida is basically covering season 2 as the writer that's a good sign right there.

Did you tell her that TG doesn't end at Ch.143 but continues on? Otherwise you'll see a depressed cousin on that day. She might like Touken Since we have no love triangle BS going on, I guess NaruSaku, NaruHina, and SasuSaku fans ship Touken which is just... ugh... weird. I mean it's nice to have no shipping wars, but it's weird how we can lay all our preferences aside and be united in our shipping for two characters.

He was depressed as kitten when he found out that Eren was transformed into a Titan. Once he catches up, he only has to worried about it once a month, so... But whatever he wants. I hope he will pick up TG one day. His short little compilation of his top 5 moments from the anime TG was splendid.

I hope Bleach will come back. Ya can't do this to your fans, SP! Same thing with Inuyasha. It came back just for its final arc (but it was rushed as hell). I heard how horrible the anime to Rave Master was...

I know love triangles shouldn't be a big deal, but after Naruto ugh.. that's the last thing I need in my life nowadays.

Oh yeah especially with the big revelation behind Eren's father. I forgot that he even did the top 5 moments from the anime and it was pretty interesting to see.

Hopefully they do a decent job with the final arc if SP does and most likely will animate Bleach again, I mean Soul Society Arc and i guess The Bleach Anime in general is beautifully animated when you watch it.

I bet and seeing white haired Kaneki in action is gonna be a real treat to see. 12 episodes though again.... I mean yeah I'm excited for season 2, but am I the only one that feels like they're gonna rush it with that little amount of episodes?

My brother still hasn't picked it up, but I'm getting there If there is another love triangle going on, I swear, I'm gonna gonna mad. The only way I see a love triangle coming in is when Touka turns out to have a boyfriend (which I doubt). Ishida loves portraying the two of them together, and all those hints from both- especially Touka's Tsundere side towards Kaneki- can't just be there to mislead us!

He shouldn't complain about spoilers, just saying. Otherwise, he will have to disable the comment section. The last time he legitimately freaked out about spoilers was when he reviewed an Fate/Stay Night- UBW. He did a rant video afterwards, lol.

I loved the anime to Bleach! I really did. And I think, I'll just stick to catching up with the anime. When I'm done with it, I'll just catch up with the manga. I didn't know that Bleach caught up... I guess fillers were not enough, lol.

Oh, I see. Not gonna lie, before AoT, I was one of those girls who was scared of anything gory, including animes. But when I saw the greatness of AoT, I realized it's not that bad. So in a sense, AoT helped me to give Tokyo Ghoul a try- which is far more gory and bloody than AoT in my opinion. I hope your cousin gives those two masterpieces a try- after this disastrous ending she read in Naruto. That way you have two series you can discuss together with.

Speaking of AoT: Hehe, just came back from the movies and bought the second volume of AoT. I was so surprised when I scanned through the volume and realized that Eren was already turning into a Titan! Did the anime have many fillers or what?!

I'm pretty sure they are. Yoshimura even had a Kakuja, but then again, we haven't see a lot of Rize's fighting abilities. Amon vs Sasaki/Shironeki- that would be a dream come true.

I wonder what Akira will do if she sees that Amon is still alive...

I'm pretty sure they are. Yoshimura even had a Kakuja, but then again, we haven't see a lot of Rize's fighting abilities. Amon vs Sasaki/Shironeki- that would be a dream come true.

Yeah, Hide stay away! Although I would probably argue, given her nature, that Kaneki belongs to her, not the other way around lmao but yes, she got incredibly beautiful :)
