But I know one thing for certain- you're not black. Literally don't care about all of the things you've been through, because it doesn't matter. You don't have a clue what the effects of racism for over 400 years caused us, so everything you say is going to be invalid. Doesn't matter about how much "credit" you think you're giving yourself. You might as well just leave it alone. It's amazing how people want to insert their opinions on matters so much when they still know nothing.

I shouldn't have to spell it out for you, and it's sad that I do. Maybe you should take a hint, I've said it twice: blacks aren't the only people that have suffered at the hands of discrimination, segregation, and other racially/ethnic charged hate. Maybe I'm able to say so because I'm actually from a group that has been brutally, brutally oppressed in the past. I shouldn't have to be required to identify myself or standing just because you think that I'm not credible enough on virtue of my word.

Whether you like it or not, I do know what it's like, and my opinion is valid. End of story. Btw, I'm going to be going back through and deleting all these posts, as we've derailed the thread long enough, this isn't the place for that. If you truly wand to continue, pm me.

This. Exactly. People are literally crying for help with schooling and better police departments and better firefighters yet we give people like Mayweather over 100 million for a 25 minute fight. And this type of stunt is found in any entertainment industry, really.

And I have to say, at least Floyd Mayweather gives back to his own community. But that doesn't speak for a lot of other stars who have access to so much money. If you ask me, boxers doesn't work any harder than the folks who risk their lives everyday and don't get paid enough in America. Personal opinion, but still.

Floyd Mayweather gives back to his community? What the kitten? Lol. Well maybe I take back my words of him being a complete douche.

The government has brains, if they really wanted to they could donate a huge chunk of that revenue to the teachers, firefighters, and all the people who help society and are paid less as a thank you to them and to help support good causes and the education system. You know, instead of giving it all to the ex-wife beater (who would donate some of his money to charity if he was really sorry for hurting others)
Says a lot when people finally figure out a way to make billions of dollars (entertainment) but they refuse to use it to help society.

That's definitely a problem, but it's just part of how free market, capitalism societies are. And it's not as if the government is paying these athletes. It's all private industries making contracts and people spending their extra money on entertainment.

If the government wants to pay the societal needs, taxes have to be raised in certain ways.

Dude, all I have to say is that you know nothing- still know nothing- it's not uncommon for people to want to be "oppressed" so badly that they start making up bullsh*t like this. You're not the first person I had to call out on this site either, so don't think it's new. Everyone wants to equate how "brutal" they were oppressed as opposed black oppression in the West and that's outright ridiculous and anti-black. I think you've already embarrassed yourself enough for the day, so deleting is probably best for you.

You sound like "I am mad when not about me" right now. And it's probably because you've never experienced a situation where you were excluded from. This is something new to you perhaps. Which is why you still don't get it.

And I get the feeling you never will.

Excuse you, but I'm a damn Jew. You talked about 400 years, we've been viewed as the scum of the earth for about 4000. I don't think I need to elaborate on brutal, if you know anything about any kind of history outside of black history. You seriously need to check yourself. The only reason that I've been embarassed is because I even bothered to put up with your garbage. Saying that other people have suffered just as much if not more than blacks, and that they might be able to understand blacks isn't anti-black in the least. There are other cultures that have been oppressed, learn about them.

Okay so you're Jewish. Whoop de woo. Doesn't change the fact that you had the nerve to try and equal your suffering with those of black people- which shows your amount of ignorance. I don't care about 4000 years. I'm not talking about other history. That has nothing to do with the original topic- which was about black representation. Try having your entire history wiped off the face of this planet because of a social construct made from colonization. You're also inferring that Black Jews don't exist either. You're acting as if Blacks and darker skinned humans don't suffer across the entire world right now. Are you racist? I don't know. But you sure are ignorant. Which is why I said this is not the topic for you.

"I am mad when not about me".

Like I've said, it's amazing how people want to equate their own suffering with that of black people, as if that's supposed to garner you more sympathy. Jew oppression and black oppression are not one and the same. Please stop trying dude. Please.

@bold, maybe you missed class on World War Two where everything about Jews, from the people to their history, were almost eradicated. Sadly, the bolded has been the case for everywhere we've ever lived.

Never did I once say that there were no black Jews, nor that darker skinned people don't suffer, what I said was that blacks are not the only ones that have suffered, and because of my history and my culture, I am able to speak on the subject with credibility because I have experience it as well. But I'm ignorant :zaru:

This conversation is done.

I said you're not allowed to speak on racial subjects, especially pertaining to black people, since you don't, and will never understand how it feels to be a black person living under institutionalized racism.

Everybody talks about how horrible WWII was but expect black people to get over themselves because the Civil War and 400 years of lynching, torture, and rape are excusable, right?  :zaru:   With no reparations, right?  :zaru:

You have no credibility to talk about black issues and that's that. Stop trying. You're prolonging this argument when it could have been over 5 posts ago. I don't care what race you are, what ethnicity you are. It has nothing to due with my original statement about black representation. You're derailing the argument because, and I'll say it again- "I am mad when not about me".

Never once did I say that either, literally the only thing I said is that I'm qualified to speak because I, and people of my ethnicity, have experienced the same things. Your statement "I am mad when not about me" applies here more to you than it does to me. Enough is enough though, agree to disagree.

Blacks aren't the only people who suffered discrimination because of their race but that doesn't cancel out fact that they did (and still do) suffer discrimination.  Who were the #1 slaves in America before slavery was outlawed?  Which race mass protested for civil rights in the 1960s and got attacked, sneered at, arrested, lynched, and soda poured over their heads at sit-ins?  Why was Martin Luther King Jr. assassinated?  Why is there only one black U.S president in a string of 42 white presidents?  Who just got killed by police in Baltimore?  Blacks are a people who have been oppressed and discriminated against even in their own native country of Africa.  No, they aren't the only race who suffers discrimination, but they do suffer discrimination.  Racism still exists whether you want to acknowledge it or not.

LOL If you're Jewish I'd expect you'd be even more empathetic to the discrimination other ethnic groups face, not trying to trump their suffering.  It's like a gay guy hating women.  Or a Republican smoking weed.  It's not about who suffers the most, it's about helping all of them and recognizing that discrimination still exists against these groups.  Yes Mexicans, Asians, Native Americans, Jews, Muslims etc all face discrimination but why do you only want black people to shut up about it?

But basically all of this. We're a country run by businesses and corporations, not the government.

I never said anything against the things youve highlighted! Her original statement was that I can't talk about the things that have been said because I'm not black. My entire point is that I should be able to have a voice because I can be empathetic, as my people have suffered just as they have. My whole point is that i should be allowed to have a point of view because I can empathize. I've literally never, not one time made the statement that black people should shut up about it, nor have I said that mine trumps theirs, if you read my posts through her quotes, shes the one that said I should shut up because I'm not black, and that I don't have a valid voice because of it. Your reply fits my entire point, not the other way around.

I hear you, let's get on topic.

ESPN Had a good recap on the five take aways from the fight

Mayweather claims he's better than Ali

Pacquiao said his shoulder was injured

Box Office says fight drew audiences away from Age of Ultron, lower take at the theaters

NAHHHHH I feel Mayweather could have lost if he wasn't running and Pac Man stayed where he was instead of chasing him. People say its strategy but I don't see it that way, plus the fight was late...why people not watch Age of Ultron? :argh:

Just remove the point system and let the fighter fight until one of them ko.
Therefore you got the fight you want.
