Poor Chitoge, ateast we can not sort of undeerstand why she forgot that summer, made the same sacrifice for the same person a decade earlier, always the bridemaid never the bride.

 

If anything this weeks chaper just confuses me more as to why Onedera and Raku forgot each other. They liked each other before, they met each othr only a few years later but completely forgot everything, I don't care if they are kids but for both of them to forget each other so quickly, (remember they met each other maybe four years later?) to a point they never even felt a sense of familiatity towards the other.

 

Well that said if this was a western story I would bet this chapter pretty much confirming that the end pair is not Chitoge and Raku, she made the same sacrifice twice, but the second time she never assumed the ending was the same, so in this situation it usually leads to them being wrong at the end and ending up with the (lame) hero. However this is manga and SWJ and I really don't have as much confidence, afterall trying to kill someone multiple times, and constantly belittling them earn loyalty in manga, as does stalking. I still think it will end up as Chitoge and Raku after this chapter but not as confident as I would have normally been.

Ahaha so Hinata wins again??? no .no i mean Onodera win ?? shes now have like 95% chance , it's really ironic , big boobs , submissive just like Hinata, it's not like i hate her shes just reminds me of Hinata. Poor Kirisaki , in my point of view this situations is really hard to turn around , that engrave/message on that rock/stone is simply too deadly for Kirisaki if in the end Rakku and Kirisaki gonna be together , i'm realy curious how the hell the author gonna turn around this situations. It's just like playing chess ... this situation is simply checkmate.

Kosaki's got Hinata like qualities with not having the courage to tell him how she feels that's for sure, but I actually find her character funny not to mention that Kosaki actually does talk to Raku throughout the manga, and she actually speaks properly around the other characters.

Not to say you hate the character that's not what I'm implying.. I'm just bringing up points that's all..

Now the final battle will begin:

As I said in my previous comment, normally this kind of chapter would mean Chitoge will be the one who gets the guy, the only reason I'm doubting it is because of Naruto, where the MC's sacrifice was not rewarded, he sacrificed his happiness for the girl he likes and was screwed over and then told he had to dedicate himself to someone else because she was obsessed with him. and Nisekoi is published in the same publication. (and like Hinata's VA, Onedera is voiced by the other queen of VA's in Japan, Kana Hanakawa,)

 

This kind of revelation is very often the nail in the coffin for the two people who originally liked each other, for someone to sacrifice their feelings not once but twice and still get the kitten ending does not leave the viewers happy about the ending most times, specially when the charactor is the most popular charactor in the series (according to the latest poll).

 

One of the manga's biggest point it's made is that people grow up and as they grow their feelings also change, as shown by the best friend with specs changing her views on the boy we obviously knew she would end up with.) and Raku's own growing feelings for Chitoge, plus the magaka does feel like he grew up on 80's and 90's RomCom's and Raku and Chitoge feel very much like the typical heros of that genre. So I am reletively confident it will end with Raku/Chitoge, the only doubt is because of the publication, and the influence they have over the end.

I mean even in the manga cover it was only Rakku and Kirisaki , and each chapter always begin with Kirisaki image.

 

Bad moral message if Rakku and Onodera is the cannon ship, because it means if you love someone no matter how long it is, just with little to moderate effort she or he will be with you in the end, Onodera almost like Hinata, yes they have a lot of conversation/interaction but her effort is just not good enough in my point of view, she rely so much on LUCK and OTHER HELP like 60% of the time their moment always thanks to the help of third party like Ruri-chan, her parents profession and shop because it's similar to Rakku hobbies of cooking, support of her little sister, and now add support of Kirisaki herself, that's why i said if they end up together that means it's either big boobs/popularity or japanese believe if you love someone she or he will no doubt marry you with just little effort.

Well after the recent events, now it has become a bad moral or rather "huh?" sort of way. Maybe if the plot didn't focus too much on Chitoge and Raku, it would be fine, but the problem is and if this intentional better do it for "that" reason, Raku and Onodera didn't really "develop" but rather do "puppy love" scenery, which never moved anywhere different from the recent flashback.

The deal breaker was chapter 199. That moment was the shot to the heart for the said pairing, because Raku learned true love and yes, he confirmed it true and that's with Chitoge. He described it so much, it's basically "no going back" love. Now, the story is more focus on if Chitoge is willing to lose her love again to Onodera or if she's going to wait on Raku and hope that he confess. She did that already back in the past, so doing it again sounds messed up. Onodera has the look of "what have I done" so if she still cool with it, that seems unintentionally selfish.

If the flashback ended with a normal promise with the atmosphere of "how sweet" and that's it, then I can somewhat see Onodera wins. However, it presented us with sadness, so why repeat it. Now, the one who can bring a better moral is Chitoge because she was going to do a childish love path, but instead she started from the very bottom: hating on Raku. Her development came so far and to only have her not win would be bad writing. Whether it's Naruto tier or not, it's still bad. But we'll see. Just be glad it's ending.

Let's not forget, Rakku himself said it doesn't matter what the promise from the past was, it won't affect the decision he makes in the future. If he chooses Onedera because of the past promise, because it is Onedera, he essentially is hypocrite, which I don't think is what the mangaka is aiming for, but again, WSJ manga, who knows what other forces are in the works,  they do house the biggest hypocrite.

That is what should have make her fail, In my experience afraid to confess will lead into disaster like 80% at a time. Because there's a chance that someone else will take him away from you.

 

I always think character like Onodera only serve as one purpose for the reader, to tell us that we should a make move quickly/fast before someone else take it away from us, rather than waiting for him to confess to her. Onodera and Rakku should be together WAY long before the manga even start, they both already fall in long ago to each other, if only Onodera confess ... for Rakku is still understand able because he have more focus on his dream to become a chef. This is why i believe Rakku will end with Kirisaki, because Onodera miss her chance.

How? Though it would explain the feeling I got after reading this weeks chapter how the mangaka is dragging his feet. Though how they can continue this I don't know. Maybe Chitoge will be gone by the time Slow poke Raku or Onedera will arrive, and it will go into their Uni-years with them meeting later on, but then it would be their adult life with adult problems, not something you'd expect from a shounen manga.

Not a bad moral, but it goes against how the story is written. Plus I've gone itnto detail about How they've really got nothing going for them besides generic nice guy/ nice girl who are too shy and self conscious to admit their feelings for each other which is BOOOOOOOOOORING. In my opinion at least

It's really getting almost impossible now, Kosaki finally ... like FINALLY confess her feelings to Rakku ... and Rakku looks really happy that the girl he always love since childhood is also love him and return his feelings.

 

There is no hope , i think the author really wants to kill any chance for Kirisaki to be with Rakku.

Did we read the same chapter? I found this chapter almost as if was a goodbye to their crush, and the tears being those of regret, if they'd admited their feelings earlier things would not be complicated anymore kind of thing.

 

If this was the end, then what was the point of Chitoge running away? literally all other girls got their closure before the finale, this would mean Chitoge doesn't get her closure.

 

I think the tears were there as they both realised the possability of them being together had passed, and that Raku had fallen in love with Chitoge somewhere along the way. These are not tears of joy, but of a realisation that after all this time, the girl you liked confessed and you have realised you no longer love her.

 

Edit: I didn't post last week, but have to sa I was so happy to see Mari once again prove she was the best girl, Raku never deserved her.

I think Chitoge has this in the bag now. Its too late for Onodera. I think the reason Raku is crying is because she will be the hardest to reject in my opinion.
