Well I guess I was right in one respect. Naruto's and Sasuke's awakenings were paralleled. I just thought it would be a bit more substantial. I did like the way that page was drawn even if it did feel somewhat out of place.

 

Oh well, other than that it was a decent chapter. Gai's final attack was impressive taking out a large chunk of Madara's body and he was acknowledged by Madara as being the best taijutsu user he'd ever faced. Unsurprisingly it wasn't enough. Naruto's entrance was nice, but I'm not really sure what he did. Even if he gave Gai some life force, Gai's body looks like it's been burnt to a crisp. Maybe it'll restore him fully or something. Maybe that's the power of ninshuu? If not all I could see it doing is to buy enough time for Gai to offer some last words to Lee and Tenten.

 

Naruto's back and feeling cocky so is the end of Madara near at hand, or does he have any other tricks up his sleeve? My guess is the latter.

Another week has passed and another chapter we got. And another week that Kishi pisses me off.

I still cannot believe he skipped the NS moment. We got nothing, not a moment where Sakura realizes that Naruto's heart started beating again, not hug scene, not even a bloody thank you. And for what? To continue the useless drama. To have the NH fanbase still cling to the idea of Naruto ending up with Hinata.

I'm sorry but this is just stupid, a 5 year old can see that NS is the final pairing. The argument that Naruto could end up with someone else is not even up for debate.

And for those of you that say well a war is going on and we didn't have time for NS and the fight with Madara is way more important. I hope you realize that you're making excuses.

Seriously we didn't have time for a NS moment but we had plenty of time for a bed time story, countless and completely meaningless flashbacks that only add really small things that we already knew or we already assumed, a chapter basically dedicated to Hinata's development only to take it all away at the end of that and the list goes on and on.

Kishi had the opportunity to end this right here and now but decided to drag it out. And again for what to keep the NH fanbase still interested.

You mean how Tsunade looks more frantic than Sakura and how Naruto was at least shown reacting to the scene? If so, I agree, this was better than what we got for NaruSaku.

If you mean that lip to lip contact somehow gives it more depth, I've got news for you: it doesn't.

I have no idea but if I had to guess, I'd say no. There have been plenty of instances where Kishi skipped similar situations.

I will say that another Sakura/Karin parallel was a nice touch. Now at this point NS seems inevitable, if Sakura were to end up with Sasuke or Hinata were to end up with Naruto it would kind of throw the parallal Kishi's going for her all out of whack.

Why? He could be paralleling the girls on the team, without being pairing related. The man parallels everything these days.

Okay, I'm gonna have to say this to every single one of you guys here:

 

Y'all need to stop with the complaints. Seriously. I'm seeing heavy disappointments, reactions, backlashes, hissyfits: all over for what? A NaruSaku moment that may or may not likely going to happen, due to the back-to-back scenes of Guy being a badass, inflicting damage on God-Tier Madara (reminding people, that this is a Shonen-action related manga NOT a Shojo!) and while this going on we're doing shipping wars as Naruto and Sasuke are being revived for the last couple of weeks ...

 

My god, people, aren't we getting spoiled for our ship all of the sudden?! For what purpose? Bragging rights towards the opposing ships?! More bashing?!! That's NOT what us NaruSaku fans are, especially on this site. What many of you guys failed to realize that the kind of moments will happen in the upcoming chapters (you know, big bad is gone, vanished into thin air; hero saved the world, SUNRISE on the horizon!!!, Hero's Birthday?!!! Perfect opportunity for that kind of stuff!)

 

I'm highly disappointed on many of my fellow NS here. Surely, many of you need to chill.

Well what else do you think they were paralleling? With Naruto and Sasuke its obvious, with Obito and Kabuto the parallel is that they're making up for the mistake of making the war by saving the ones who can stop it for Sakura and Karin there is really no other way to look at the parallel than their love interests caring for them unless it was supposed to be looked at female teammate parallels in which case that would be pointless, and we would probably have gotten parallels for others as well.

That is why I don't hype up any speculation. At this point I'm just going with whatever kishi does and I'm tired of speculations and predictions( as good as they sound). I like to keep it like "narusaku4life". We will get a moment when the time is right. I mean worrying about only pairings only makes the story less exciting for us and always disappoint us.

I have a pretty straight forward definitions of opinion and fact:

I didn't see any pairing in this chapter. There is only one pair in Naruto and that is Naruto x Sasuke.

 

It was Gai's final move and Naruto saving him. That is how I saw the chapter.

 

I wonder if madara and hashirama had the tattoos that Naruto and Sasuke had?

 

How much of the stuff going on is the editor vs Kishi?

I was talking about hopes for an interraction between Naruto and Sakura about her saving his life, I wasn't talking about NaruSaku happening or not.
 
 
 

 
 
To me, it's Hagoromo that gave them those new powers. They are not from the reincarnations of Ashura and Indra at all. They are from the rod.

I have absolutely no expectation towards Naruto as the hard working, overcoming obstacles-type of hero anymore. He was such a great character in part one, and now it seems as if Kishi is tired of developing him so he'll just cover it up by giving him power-ups and defeating villains marvel comic style.
Disappointment is a huge understatement regarding this chapter.
The only big message I received from this chapter was, "No amount of hard work is ever going to make you surpass a genius."
Gai shouldn't have bothered training all his life to open the eight gates and sacrificing his life to defeat Madara. Because in the end, the two boys of prophecy is going to save the day with new powers they somehow had after they woke up. Screw hardwork. It's all about bloodline, natural talent, and destiny.
Edit: Gai looked great? No, he looked abso-kittening-lately miserable the moment he got his ass saved by the boy of prophecy who just got a power-up handed to him on a silver platter. Dying would have been a better treatment for him than living a life where he is constantly proven that his life philosophy was wrong all along.

The chapter was good. As I've thought before, Kishimoto decided to skip NS moment, which is fine with me. There's nothing wrong with that, people. To me it means Kishi is milking the pairing drama, instead of concluding it. Full stop. 

 

The fact that Kishi also decided to skip any Obito-Naruto interaction means that he is saving it for later --either a flashback or closure after the war is finished or at the very end of the manga. If he intended to skip NS moment completely, he would've drawn Naruto and Obito interaction, and no Sakura-Naruto interaction. The fact that it is not shown means it'll lead to somewhere (hopefully, if he's consistent with his writing). Which is totally fine by the way.

 

If it takes 450 chapters to see NS has a tender hug moment, it's worth the wait for me. If it takes 663 chapters to see Sakura CPR-ed Naruto and pledges to save him, it's worth it.

 

One example is, do you remember Kushina's advice and how Naruto addressed it one by one, except for the 'find a girl like me' comment? Well, the chapter was around 500+ and we got the confirmation from Minato on 631. There you have it.

 

Come on folks, this is the manga we've been reading for the past 10+ years. What NS got is considered plenty of fan services throughout the whole journey (considering this is a Shounen manga). Try to go and read other shounen and compare it yourself (FMA, GTO, Slam Dunk, etc). You will find a romance subplot, but not as much as you got in Naruto.

 

Just enjoy it and go with the flow. Don't set your expectation too high, you'll get disappointed. This is exactly the same pattern for the past 10+ years. Nothing new here, moving on...

Yes there's people arguing about NS or whatever pairing but the major complaints are because Kishi is doing crap writing lately, he took away all the reasoning on Gai wanting to sacrifice his life wiht an asspull power given by Naruto while he was uncouncious, i dont even need to mention the Rinnegan that Sasuke will probably awake on the next chapters.
It's true that we are tired of the complaints every week but there's bullsh** every week Naruto, it would be a good chapter we next to zero complaints only the minors about NS but then the last panel screwing everything.
Personally Kishi abused it so much that i know should not care but it always disturbs me every time.
It's the tenth time someone uses a technique that costs the life and ends up not dying in the end.
On the previous moments at least the technique was foreshadowed but this time it came from nowhere totally.

I have bittersweet feelings about this chapter. On the one hand, Gai was fricken awesome! His last technique almost KILLED powered up Madara. Loved every page of it. While I would have been sad to see Gai die, I think it kinda degrades his whole fight with Madara by having Naruto show up and saving him last second. I mean, Gai unlocked all 8 gates, going all out, fully knowing that he was going to die in the end. Having Naruto bring him back from the brink of death seems to come off cheap to me. I dunno... maybe I'm just tried of Naruto and Sasuke getting power ups after power ups with little or no effort at all.

Anyway, I'm still excited for the next chapter. Yey~
