Yeah Karin's reaction... so out of place...with Ino and Sakura working, and Karin... just idk. It just didn't feel like it went well with the overall feeling of the chapter so I agree with you. I wonder why Kishi thought to do it like this. 

 

I think Shikamaru will be fine. I also forgot to mention Sai. He is such a better team mate than Sasuke ever was haha. It gives me warm fuzzies.

I have to say it was touching how Naruto's montage of what appears to be his first regret, and the people he lost (too bad he doesn't know about Konan's death).  What really made it touching is how everyone could "see" it, especially those close to him, and feel his truest wish.  Plus, we're now sure those flowers Konan gave him were placed on a makeshift grave for Jiraiya.  Ahh, how I wished he knew about Konan's death, so she could be in the montage too.

She could always sympathize with him since chapter 3., and it's not limited to her.  Everyone now knows his innermost feelings.  I believe that is what motivated the rest of the alliance to keep fighting, not Hashirama's speech. 

 

How do you guys think Sasuke feels after seeing Itachi in Naruto's heart?

You shouldn't be disappointed with his character since he has been fighiting this war for more than approximately  two days know. Not mention that he transferred chakra twice to them now. Do you remember how Sakura got concerned about Naruto's health? Serving this chakra to every single shinobi took quite the toll on him, we still don't know if keeping SM + BM tires him additionally.  You don't have to blame him for that , look at the verbiage(narrative) when he remembers what Obito told him : ''everyone who acknowledges  you will die'' - to loose a single friend means a lot to him its like faiding in to the darkness of loneliness again. It normal reaction , you cannot control your emotions this ain't a poker game (even then there is a chance that you will show a slight facial expression), on the front line (during war) all emotions flow you cannot stop them , no man can.

Sasuke doesn't care about anybody , his only concern is keeping  Naruto and Taka alive , Naruto is his strongest bond no matter how much he pretends Naruto grounds him kept him sane ..

You can disagree/correct me , if you find necessary.

 

I wonder if Naruto life span will be affected be the number of time he has used beast mode?

I disagree. Because all fodder already use chakra shroud who increase it user power. And no the slug it's not liability, I mean look at sai.
The slug killed because it has chakra and the tree will attack anything with chakra.

I don't think this kind of thing will address by kishi and nor do I think he will allow sakura to regret about it.

Sai left his slug in the same chapter when he was healed by it iirc. He's not exactly the most reliable example here unless Kishi confirms that Sai reattached himself with the slug off-screen before the attack.

I don't think this kind of thing will address by kishi and nor do I think he will allow sakura to regret about it.

The regret portion I disagree with but the part about him not going into detail about how they died exactly is probably true.

i might be jumping the gun here, but after seeing this quote of hers...if shikamaru somehow pull through this (by tsunade, karin, sakura, ino, or joint efforts), I'm scared that sakura would be the other one of the important konoha rookie to die..

Yes, it was. She has seen that because of the tree taking the chakra, no one can fight before if the tree took their chakra except the ones that has a way to affect the tree.

I think no one from the Konoha rookie will die anymore. Neji was enough. Shikamaru is still alive but barely. He'll survive. If he dies, he'll be revived.

Thoughts

Overall this character was great. It showed off everyone equally I thought and it was good to see that Sakura wasn't harmed by the tree, but poor Shikamaru. I hope he'll be all right and make it through. As far as the whole reading Naruto's heart thing, Sakura's whole expression makes me think she knows the truth behind why Naruto loves her.

 

No, that should come later.  That wasn't the time for that.   What they all saw is nothing more than what we did.

 

It's official for the next volume I'm HYYPPPEE. Well guys it seem like naruto vs gara fight again with sasuke inspire naruto and thus gain his power back. And don't worry about shikamaru there's Karin for a reason.


And I believe naruto will choose sakura or the world

 

This is a shounen. It's unlikely to have that sort of plot point.

 

Naruto's past emotions about his loss and regrets not about his romantic love, come on now look at the flashback panels none of them were about his romantic love. And people here criticize NH fans for looking underneath the underneath when this fandom isn't doing any better, there was no romantic moments in this chapter.

That should have stopped since the first Bijuu mode.  When he and Kurama were at odds, the cloak severely hurt him, but that should have stopped once Naruto took that portion of chakra, and later, they bonded.  If he uses it extensively without any rest, then yeah, it could hurt him, but right now, he has no choice.

I absolutely loved this chapter!

We got to see thr kages and their reaction to hashirama. I liked how we got to see inos awesome abilities, thats the heroines rival! I loved how sakura is awesome as usual! But im sure shikamaru wont die. I liked how we saw the flashbacks. It was all awesome! Thr gaars arc, snd all those scenes.

I liked how sakura felt nsrutos heart. Ino is naturally a nind user so she csn connect to people easily. But sakura isnt, this shows the depths of their relationship!

I csnt wait for the next chapter!

I think Shikmaru will almost die but then Sakura will remember Naruto saying "I wont let my friends die" and then save him. He wont die, there isn't anyone to take his spot as a strategist, if his father was alive then maybe.

That isn't disproving unintentional involvement. You're restating the same alternate scenario which has no bearing on those that were connected to Katsuyu. Their situations were different because they didn't have a chakra providing slug connected to them at the time.
 

so there's no way that any of this is Sakura or Katsuyu's fault because [b]they would have died anyway.

It's unknown if they could have somehow repelled or avoided the tree's attacks. Despite Tobi's onslaught, you can clearly make out many shinobi who are still alive after the attack. Most of them lost their resolve after Tobi's encouragement, but they were still technically alive.

Sakura and Katsuyu would have only been involved with those who were receiving charka before the attack.
 

Naruto got off lucky, and so did Shikamaru. And I'd like to remind you that Katsuyu, as far as I can remember, didn't even link with Naruto (because Sakura healed him herself). Understand what I'm trying to say now?

What importance does this have to what I'm saying? Shikamaru wasn't shown to be connected to the slugs at all and neither was Naruto. Circumstances were different for them because of no such connection existing with them. That's a completely separate issue.
 

Another point that I'd like to make is why would the tree target the smaller source of chakra rather than the larger?

The tree had such an abundance of limbs that it could target anyone that it wished. No one was excluded from its wrath except Tobi. It would focus its efforts mostly on the greater reservoirs but the others are still in danger.
 

 

Even with the way Katsuyu states what occured, you get that impression: "The chakra was sucked together WITH the rest, and my parts died."

Katsuyu didn't separate the two occurrences from each other. They were spoken in unison and the slugs at the time were siphoning chakra to the shinobi. The connection isn't difficult to grasp.


 

Not "The chakra was sucked, causing the ninjas to die because I had some kind of special link with them." Basically what Katsuyu is saying that, it not only targeted the people, but also even the smallest slug. [b]They basically had the same fate. Katsuyu couldn't heal them or do anything because her parts had died as well.

"That technique uses my tiny clones as a means of passing chakra to them, but all of my clones have had their chakra absorbed and died.In other words... All of them have ended up just like my clones."

Notice that It made no effort to distinguish between the two occurrences. Katsuyu mentioned that the closes were distributing chakra to the shinobi.

"In other words" connotes to an expression of something but with different wording yet having the same context or interpretation. Which brings me back to my point of the two events being interrelated with each other.

How is a slug that's been shown to cover most of a person's body not hindering their movements?
 

You mean to tell me that a slug covering half of their body wouldn't hinder a person's ability to move?

Even strangers saw inside Naruto's heart.  I'm not discrediting their bond, but this wasn't something limited to Sakura.
