Oh yeah, his summon. There we go. Problem solved to be relevant in this battle again. As for Sakura, trying to not get my hopes up but it will be smart for Kishi to surprise everyone by suggesting Sakura to summon a slug to attack Obito, only to have her go sage mode and Naruto will be shocked. Tobirama could comment on it as well. Wishful thinking but trying not to push it before Kishi may think, "Oh, he knows? Ok, time for rewrite!" Lol.

 

it could also be that Obito might need to change tactic. Naruto kinda showed that Obito can be beaten so we might get either some filler fights ( for me the fighting is all filler) or Obito has to counter Naruto's senjutsu with something else. And other than disapear into kamuiland ( where Kakashi is) I don't think Obito has any asspulling to do. The only possible one is for him to also get senjutsu but it feels out of character.

Now there's the yin Kyuubi who feels a bit out of place.Is he good is he bad.

I enjoyed this chapter. Good that Sage Mode is coming into the spotlight again. I always thought Sage Mode Naruto was cooler than his other modes.

 

Does this mean Sasuke may get Sage Mode too? I'm sincerely hoping he would. Sasuke with Sage Mode will be badass! And I'm pretty sure he's not going to stay in the sidelines. 

I wish he had his cloak of the sage mode back, it makes him look badass a shame that kishi doesnt like to make Naruto badass.

He had it on for a long time, there comes a point when he runs out of chakra so its not like Kishi just took it off for no reason. Naruto has looked badass many times. I always wasn't a fan of the cloak I wish he would have just gone full nine tails like bee, it was sort of a let down once he took control of the nine tails.

Yeah that was badass, would be nice everytime he went on the sage mode the cloak appears like on Blood Prison.

I feel like this chapter sets up an entrance not only for Sakura, but for Rock Lee as well. Since Jubito is able to nullify ninjutsu but is susceptible to sage mode, I think it likely we get a moment for Lee and his taijutsu to really shine. I think personally this would be a fitting tribute to the Lee/ Neji rivalry, while showing to all those bystanders his strength acheived through hard work and perseverance.

Plus a little LeeSaku teamwork could inspire some interesting reactions from Naruto ^_^

I think they need to be utterly cautious right now against Obito and do not go relentlessly close to him. He can literally pulverize anything, even Edo Tensei, therefore it's not a good strategy to get near him for a Taijutsu fight, that's why Tobirama is helping Naruto to get closer with the space time jutsu... any second wasted there and it's certain death.

Rock Lee, even with all gates open, is like a tiny insect compared to what Obito has become. He would get killed in a second. And Obito's weakness is senjutsu, not taijutsu. Attacking him with taijutsu would be suicide. You would never hit him. And he would hit you.

Sorry, but Lee and even Gai are badly outclassed here. The entire Alliance is. That is why Shikamaru said they will keep ready and wait for an opening. I am sure that opening will come soon, but it won't be just Lee and Sakura, but 10,000 ninja attacking under Shikamaru's direction.

Hard work is great. But now they are fighting living gods.

A thought occurred to me. Now I think about it, Minato is about "flashy" stuff and/or something cool. Think about it. Who in the right mind would think to have a cloak that says your title? I actually thought it's a Hokage traditional thing, but only that hat is. So yeah, it's just Minato acting badass, which he is imo. I mean who tells other Hokages who he is by pointing his cloak. Only him. I guess Naruto really got these characteristics from Minato. Who knew.

There will be some first class rage from me if Sausage pulls out any kind of Sage Mode or senjutsu when he's had literally NO time to prep when Sakura has had much more time. Even if all 3 of them get it and we get another cool Team 7 shot I'll still be irritated at all the coddling and asspulling Sasuke gets.

Interesting, I never saw it that way before. You might be right. It seems the reason Minato had his cloak made was because he thought it would look cool.

 

Seriously, the more we analyze Minato the more we find out how lulzy he can be. And here we thought Kushina was the eccentric one. Now I can only picture her facepalming at Minato's quirks all the time.

To me, just like Naruto, Minato would be the one to run into battle without even thinking and just wanting to attack. I can picture him just running in the way he does with Obito like "I'm going to use my rasen shwubeuhsha". It would be hilarious to watch actually how carefree he can be.

It stands to reason that the Sage of the Six Paths knew Senjutsu...otherwise how in the world would he have stopped the Juubi. He must had come into contact with animal summons somehow. I am betting on foxes, as you can see his hair slightly resembles fox ears.

That's a good catch, it could give a reason why Kurama was a fox. I think when the sage separated the jubbi he probably based the last tailed beast on his summoning animal.

I can very well see that Kushina was in control with Minato, hence Minato's panel of Kushina in 631 tells you she still goes tsundere in his time. So pretty much, Kushina does in fact owns him. I guess many arguments come from naming and stuff.

I wonder if Kishi is planning to make more parallel with Sakura and Kushina. While it is enough to have Minato confirming it, I don't see Kishi ending it there. As of late, he's being very parallel heavy and we thought we were bad to portray it. Lol. So I can very well see more of those. Last volume we got heavy Sannin parallel. Now, either hold for next volume, or go all out on parallel.

Thing is this Minato Obito Naruto triangle is similar to the pein arc. There we had Jiraya Nagato Naruto with almost the same relationship. Same goals same failure from the first 2 and stuff like that. Even the one on the middle was responsible for killing the first one.

Now the thing about the pein arc is that Nagato went evil because Yahiko died, and afterwards Naruto had to face the idea that Sasuke might be killed.

And now we know how Rin died and what it did to Obito so what will happen next regarding Naruto and Sakura.

This idea came to me because I was thinking of Tobirama's words and how somehow this Minato is somewhat different than the one in the kakashi gaiden and in Naruto's mind. Arguably there is a place for it, clearly Minato is shaken up by the fact that Obito is alive and the villain so he isn't as in control as he was when we first met him.

I was afraid Minato was going to parallel Sasuke as the cool serious and collective...but Minato is just instinctive genius like Naruto, a genius when he needs to be not when he wants to be. Also differentiating Naruto, Minato is very well mannered considering he grew up with parents, while Naruto an orphan didn't had anyone to teach him right from wrong.

 

Ironically though, they both share something even more...a like for short tempered women.

 

I don't know if that is Oedipus complex...though I doubt it, although many mangas draw similar parallels...Like Gohan who married Videl, and who he claims she might be worse than his mother.

 

I think it has something to do with Japanese culture, as in we tend to seek mates that resemble our parent, because we inherit that from our own parents.

I don't know about you guys but I'm kind of glad Kishi is going this route with Minato, makes him seem less perfect and more human I guess. Same with Hashirama and Tobirama. I'm sure the majority of this fandom was not expecting the God of Shinobi and Nidame to have that Goku-Piccolo kind of dynamic, thought that was nice and doesn't make them any less badass.
