Quick thoughts, because I have POLS in an hour.

Shikohuehuesumthin' comfirmed as the land of Slugs. It's on.

Sai is more a member and friend to Naruto and Sakura than Sasuke has ever been.

SO glad Tsuande hasn't bit the dust.

Question is that Tsunade's 'real' form or does she only look like that after the seal has been depleted? I already know she uses some of her chakra to look younger, but if that's really what she looks like, she does not age gracefully. She's only like 53-55?

Also, there was something I found interesting. Katsuyu said her healing powers work in conjunction with Tsunade's 'Byakugou' power, and Sakura's seal is supposed to be 'stronger' than Tsunade's right? Just find that interesting.

Btw, love the fact that Mangapanda has been showing Narusaku a little bit of love since the last few chapters.

Will definitely reread this chapter after my course ends.

EDIT: AND WTH, HOW COULD I POSSIBLY FORGET KAKASHI? OH GAWD.

Her technique might play a part into it too seeing how it also quickens cell division and shortens her life span. I wish I uploaded the last podcast, but we talked about this. I'll try to upload it later, but I brought up the Hayflick limit.

Read this
http://en.wikipedia..../Hayflick_limit

To sum it up it talks about how cells can only divide a certain amount of times in a lifetime.

You know what...somehow Orochimaru's speech of change ties so well in this chapter.

As you can see people change.

I guess Sakura has changed.

I'd say it's her real form. The reason why her "real form" looks older compared to Orochimaru and Jiraiya who is at the same age is because of her "Souzou Saisei" technique. Shizune said that Souzou Saisei speeds up the process of dividing cells therefore speeding one's lifespan. Due to this technique, Tsunade's body will get old rapidly compared to average.

Edit: Damn. James beat me to it  :P

Final note.

That page with all the Kages.

I bet Jiraiya would have loved to be at the receiving end of that page...If you know what I mean.

This chapter was ok!  I'm glad that Tsunade and the other kages are well and now they are going to the battlefield, I can't wait to see the reunion between Hashirama and Tsunade.

All that discussion about how people change and right after Sakura and her fake smile about Sasuke can mean something ... But I still expect a possible SS moment ... things are so quick and easy,  but I hope I'm wrong about it, a SS moment will only affect  Sakura's character that is beginning to be recognized by the fandom.

and Kakashi ... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!  :cuss:

from ohana's script:

サイ ボクは彼をよく知らない分冷静に見える サスケくんは本当の仲間として信用できない 君は本当はどう思ってるんだい?サクラ…

I don't know him well so I look it as much as "cool".Sasuke-kun cannot be trusted as a real comrade. What are you really thinking (about it)? Sakura...

Sai didn't ask her how she feels about him but what she's thinking about him but I guess that it isn't so different anyway...

Can you please provide the accurate translation of  Karin's speech?? :umm:   MS and MP translated it so much different from each other.

Is it just me, ir Sakura's fake smile is somehow similar to Tricksie's signature?;)

The chapter was not a bad setup chapter. My only complaint is how Kishi treated Karin. It really feels like an insult to woman. Sorry for saying it out loud.

I think Sakura's smile is related to her tears last chapter. She was very glad seeing Naruto and Sasuke working together again, yet at the same time, she knew it's just too good to be true. A fighter/warrior/ninja has instinct, and I feel that her instinct told her that Naruto and Sasuke fight is unavoidable. By which it is foreshadowed that both of them will die.

Yet another proof that Sasuke makes Sakura sad, and Naruto is the one who can make her smile with genuine happiness

Me likes. :3 It is confirmed Sasuke has definitely s not really "good", Sakura some HUGE conflicting emotions there, that makes me wonder if she's truly happy he's fighting side by side with them or not. Plus the fact that she does not completely believe him like she does with Naruto shows huge contrast to her feelings regarding both of hem. Herr love fer Naruto is solid, What she feels for Sasuke right now is very ambiguous. Also, None of the Kages died, which I was hoping for. It was a pretty good chapter over all.

On the other hand.........

Although I accept Orochimaru's change I still feel that it was still too sudden to be realistic and like some here I am a bit discontented with the the lack of villains that are truly convicted to their original believes, and will die with them. My favourite type of villains are definitely those that have an unbreakable will, and will not yield or bend to the beliefs of others.  Oh well, Maybe Kishi will make more of them in the future since I believe he said he's not ending the story anytime soon. And because I think that's what he said he said during the Road to Ninja Interview. I enjoyed his new funny side though. :lmao:

Ahhhhhh! So I guess Sasuke DOESN'T want to save the Ten Tails. I had a feeling that was the case, but what's even more surprising is the fact that he wants to get rid of the Biju. He seems to really want to become Hokage. Had a feeling there was no secret motive outside of that really. :P A lot of my prediction came true it seems.  :th_yeah:

Karin (Aaah!) NO... NOT ALL...!! LIKING THAT MORON OF SASUKE... NO WAY!! HE TRIED TO MURDER ME... UNBEARABLE... NOT ALL!!

The fact that the word that i translated as unbearable is "たまらない" (taramanai) can be twisted and assuming a double meaning... It can mean as "untolerable/unbearable/tremendous/out of this world/something really bad/ but also "irresistible/cannot help/etc..." I guess that Kishimoto has put a double meaning here intentionally... You can interpret it as you want. I guess that Karin is a little masochist (well to me it was clear from the beginning, the biting marks on her skin is a clear proof of it, she's in fact a masochist. She even had an orgasm each time that Sasuke bited her. I guess that this speech can be distorced purposely by the reader. The attempted murder by Sasuke can be someway appreciated by her but, at the same time, she didn't appreciate it. Karin's a masochist, she has always been so.

Maybbe ramenamitsu can be more clear about this

The ambiguity is really interesting, but I guess Karin's still the butt of a murder joke. Thanks for clarifying this up.

Sakura doesn't trust hm, Oh yeah. Brilliant, So take that bashers who still think she's the sill fangirl she was before the chunnin exam. Orichimaru is too co-operative, but I get the feeling like Sai and Sakura he is wondering what Sasuke is going to fo to betray Naruto.

We are already seeing the difference between Naruto and Sasuke, one want to kill it, (which i'm not sure would be possible if the Sage of the six paths couldn't do it, I doubt he could.even in the incomplete stage it's at right now.) where Naruto wants to save them.

So I wonder if Sakura knows about the Kage situation? If info is going one way then it's possible it's being passed down the other way as well.

Also I've always wondered this but why does Tsunade look so old and wrinkly? She's in her 50's and she looks like she's much older without her Henge, it's a bit strange, and if anything being a Senju and Uzumaki decendent you'd expect her to have a longer life that normal so she should look younger than she actually is, like the First Hokage, who must have been in his forties or more when he died (he taught Tsunade his bad habits afterall) yet he looks like he's in his twenties or early thirties. Did she use that Recover jutsu too many times? That's why she aged so much?

I'm confident that Kishi didn't make it have a double meaning intentionally. It was obviously meant for the latter "irresistible/cannot help/addictive". I'm sure Megi or any other Japanese out there will translate as the latter.

Sakura's role is kinda an ominous sign for her still loving Sasuke at this point, I mean its at this point Sakura is just following general character development, her views of Naruto have drastically changed since the start and she understands him no problem. With Sasuke, she said she is happy of him being back and trusts him but with someone like Sai, seeing Sasuke's actions with the ten tails, its already known that it will hurt her. Once Naruto sees this its going to make a difference. At this point though Sakura is not going to revert ever, she most likely won't try the same solo routine like in the land of iron either. I bet that after this stuff, there will be some interaction between Naruto and Sakura again because of Sasuke.

All I know is Sakura may undergo her maturity and this could lead to more NS stuff.

It's

I'm confident that Kishi didn't make it have a double meaning intentionally. It was obviously meant for the latter "irresistible/cannot help/addictive". I'm sure Megi or any other Japanese out there will translate as the latter.

Is almost like if Kishi purpostly telling the readers that still having feelings for Sasuke is irrational sadly Karin is on the losing end of this.

@NSFL

I told you so, Tsunade was not meant to die, when a character will die they die at the same time, Kakashi, Jiraiya, Neji, etc. there is no keeping it in the dark for 30+ characters and then kill them anyway.

Regarding Sakura, I guess this is a good sign for NS, if she is the only one keeping SS alive and now she doest not trust him is not looking good for the pairing plus if Sasuke srt his eye on killing Naruto them we all know SS will be dead on buried since you will really need to strongly believe in the pairing and a very naive person to believe she will encourage Sasuke trying to kill Naruto or even go against him.

I haven't really talked about the Sakura/Sasuke relationship in my post but I'll do it here. :D

Looking back at everything since the Summit Arc, I'm actually sort of enjoying how Kishi's handling that situation and Sakura's feelings. Ever since the Summit Arc, it seems that Kishi is pushing her thoughts on him afterwards in the right direction. Just look at how Kishi handles Karin and the fact that she WAS stabbed by Sasuke, and how she deals with it. I wonder if Sakura takes what happened then to heart and she doesn't push it to the wayside like it's nothing.

I mean, when you look at the whole picture, it's quite obvious Kishi is pushing away from SS with just Sakura's development. I LOVE how she as her doubts when it comes to him, and she even now doesn't fully trust him. I think her words about him are more of her wanting to believe what she's saying guy but really, even she doesn't. She doesn't trust him even now, and she has her eyes on him to watch for anything he does. He's gonna have to gain that trust back with her that was lost. She's not some little girl that'll follow him to the ends of the world. She's way more mature now. What's crazy is how this scene with Sai/Sakura reminiscent to the scene they had before where she gave him the fake smile. The fake smile that started with Naruto...  :chuckle:

Anyway, it seems as though she's gonna continue to remain quite prominent. I look forward to her interacting with her teacher when they arrive on the battlefield. Should be quite interesting actually. :D I can't wait to see more on Sakura as the chapters roll out. Kishi is slowly but surely closing the door on SS. It's only a matter of time before it's completely shut.

The more chapters I read, the more I feel Canadian DJ's sig is foreshadowing   Naruto and Sakura vs. Sasuke. Sasuke is turning their back on them. The hero and the heroine is ready to make their move and stop him.
