ahem.. give up on that behaviour of hers (is brain-wash an option?), become a reliable leader of the clan (or better let her lil sis do it) and not be mentioned in the story anymore. ok, she MAY have Kiba. wait, no. she doesn`t deserve him. or anyone.
I just can`t stand the fact that Hinata, beeing а side character, is payed so much attention anyway.
true enough, fanservice and shyness are the easiest way to make common men people like the girl
and when we`ll need someone to make numerous promises like "i`ll definitely become stronger\i`ll do everything I can" with nothing followed by that, we`ll call you over, Hinata, be sure.
great bloodline, sadly, no real ambitions or preferences. hobbies.. nope. anyway, even if she has some interests except Naruto, we`re not informed about it. NOWHERE. NEVER WERE. that makes her even creepier and more pathetic character..

I think hinata will become a great leader for her clan. I think if she starts to spend more time on her clan and less time on naruto then she'll be good. But I just don't like that one bit about her. She's so obsessed with naruto
Even "obssessed" is not enough to describe her character, truth be told.

Eh, that might be a bit too much.
Now if she has a shrine of Naruto, like Helga from Hey Arnold! then we have a problem

I think it could go two ways. But I don't know which one is more likely:
1 - Hinata/Kiba - Kiba has been definitely set up as more fiery, more loud-mouthed, more hot-headed Naruto. So it makes sense for Hinata to be the more soothing, calming, smoothing-over-rough-edges partner to him. If she's attracted to Naruto's personality, then should really float her boat! On the down side, however, I think this pairing only works in terms of them being on the same team. But Hinata has been shown to be the princess of her clan, so marrying Kiba would probably require her to be very firm in her choice to be able to stand up to her father's inevitable disapproval. Since the Hyuuga and the Inuzaka clans are so strong in their bloodlines, Hinata would now have to juggle bridging the two clans as well as keeping peace within her own.
2 - Hinata/Hyuuga clansman - Hinata was guarded during Pain's fight by another Hyuuga clansman who seemed very close to her. As in he may be her guard, or he be a childhood friend whos always loved her from afar (sound familiar?). No other character in the manga has had this type of treatment. No one else has suddenly gotten a protector/potential love interest out-of-the-blue, who is willing to stand next to them in battle and give their life for them. So I think if Hinata was paired up with a clansman, it would be this situation - a branch Hyuuga clansman who has loved her from afar, and who would continue to worship/protect her while not becoming a threat to the main family. Thus Hinata fulfills her family's wishes, and doesn't have to change herself to force them to accept her partner, and stays true to her clan. Both partners would be devoted to Hinata's full time job of managing the affairs of an entire clan. On the downside, Hinata would have to give up the crush of her childhood (Naruto or Kiba). But I think the whole "waking up to the reality of what is really expected of her as clan princess" will cure her of her fleeting infatuations.
Okay, I've convinced myself. Lol. I'm going with 2. I bet she gets paired up with a clansman who's just like her, someone who has worshipped her from afar and used her example strength to help him get stronger so he can walk at her side and help protect her.

I like the second one too. The idea of Hinata finally maturing and finding her own strength to become a leader for her clan appeals to me and I would very much like to see her grow out of her insecurities and let go of her infatuation with Naruto.

honestly I don't really care too much about Hinata's fate... or any of the other minor characters for that matter. not now at least, usually I start to think about that when the story REALLY gets to that point. we know that she isn't going to get with Naruto we can expect that much, but who is it that she will marry... assuming that she isn't killed off like Sasuke. Will it be some one we have met already or some one who we will/will not meet in the future? its something to think about, but I don't really focus on it.

You NEVER KNOW......................
At least Helga was interesting and had depth to her character, whereas Hinata needs a "Narutogasm" to do anything at least useful. And no, I'm not exaggerating.
Anyways Hinata had potential to be a good character but it was all shattered becasue Kishi decided Naruto needed a fangirl to equal all the popularity Sasuke was getting and there was no improvement on her personality either.

I can't imagine Kishi's going to make her feel sad that Naruto and Sakura are together
the problem is, is that realistically she should be devastated since Naruto is someone she's been chasing after for god knows how long and to make matters worse she has no one to blame but herself for not being upfront about it sooner.
Then again she seemed to be happy when Sakura hugged Naruto in the Pein arc (though that could just be because she was glad he's ok)
idk I have no idea how Kishi's gonna get himself outta this one.

I wonder why Kishi would set her up for heart break if she seems to be making so much of an effort to pursue him romantically. Does her declaration in 573 really mean that she is absolutely trying to get with him?

First, Hinata is a sidecharacter, and because of that her fate doesn't need to be resolved. Kishimoto isn't going to resolve every single side character either. Why is she more special than the others? She's not.
Second, Hinata never cared about NaruSaku, never acknowledged it as a threat. She's not going to start caring / acknowledging now. Her feelings are going to fade into obscurity and there's that.

Don't hate Hinata. Her constant obsession becomes annoying because of her shyness and fangirling but that is her one flaw.Hating her because of it is a waste of time.Even so she has become stronger and might be able to lead, even though there are much better fighters than her in the Hyuuga clan. And that's just her now.She could eventually grow out of her infatuation with Naruto and simply admire him.And besides as said earlier by someone else she has used his example of strength to get stronger to walk beside him, although she knows she can't.ahem.. give up on that behaviour of hers (is brain-wash an option?), become a reliable leader of the clan (or better let her lil sis do it) and not be mentioned in the story anymore. ok, she MAY have Kiba. wait, no. she doesn`t deserve him. or anyone.

There is too much worrying about this.First, Hinata is a sidecharacter, and because of that her fate doesn't need to be resolved. Kishimoto isn't going to resolve every single side character either. Hinata's story will need to be resolved because it will leave too many unanswered questions if it isn't.

What questions are so important it must be answered?
We never found out what happened to Zuko's mom in A:TLA..

That's why I said in A:TLA.
But the series should've ended with the kiss. They never planned to make something more out of it, thus they hired another author to write the comics. (Or something like that.)

Are u telling me that you wouldn't feel ripped off if Hinata had spent most of her life chasing Naruto only to later on almost die for him and been given so much screentime, then in the end she's pushed to the side and her story is considered irrelevant. She's been given too much screentime to be pushed aside without complaint. What questions are so important it must be answered?

No she has actually not been given much screentime??
Anyhow, I asked you a question, I did not make a statement. My question was not rethorical. And I don't get why her dying for him is so unique. When she challenged Pain, other people had already died for him, when they ex. refused to tell of his location. Do they need to directly take bullet for him to count
Of course I don't want her to be brushed aside, but there are other ways of resolving a character without answering all the questions. A smile in the end is enough for me, because we know that regardless of any romantic feelings for him, she simply wants to be by his side and right now she is.
