Same here out of the big 3 (one piece, bleach and naruto) I really only cared about pairings in naruto, bleach and one piece to me just kinda seem like they don't need any pairings, while IMO naruto really does need an endgame pairing dunno why I feel this way.

If you ask me, the biggest pairing wars will still be the HP and Twilight fandoms. The Naruto fandom is probably no.3 on the list of the biggest pairing wars ever to happen in fiction.

I care MORE about pairings in Naruto than I do in Bleach but I still feel that IH totally trumps NH in every way. Their development is one of my favorites in the story, and Orihime is a really well made character IMO. I always find it funny how I actually don't like the supposed main coupling in Bleach but I love IH though. I wouldn't mind if that happened. Oh, and her confession is one of my favorite confessions ever.

IMO, Naruto doesn't necessarily NEED an endgame pairing but given what's been shown, its likely going to have one. We all sort of know which one.

Ahhh, no. I wasn't grilling you or anything. And apologies. The thing with Orihime IMO when it comes to Ichigo is, she does love him for who he is and she accepts him as well. She also tries to be of assistance to him. One thing Kubo did an amazing job with was flushing out her character. She's actually shown jealousy, and her adjustment to this new world wasn't something that just easily happened. It was a gradual progression. And then the progression in her relationship with Ichigo as well. It was built up like IR and NS for sure. Bleh, I'm off topic as well. I'm gonna stop here.

Oh! And in the states, I don't think Mangareader can be read unfortunately.

In Naruto, I would vomit if he ends up with Hinata because they lack what I prefer when it comes to relations in any story, and that's mutual development. They lack that IMO, but of course others will disagree with this. Not saying you guys will.

oh no, no need to apologize, my comment was pretty vague so it's really normal that you have understood it that way.

yeah you're right! MangaRead isn't the most reliable source but it's easy more easy to find the chapters there...but as far as I know there's no mistakes in this translation. (you can check Mangahelps translations too: 283/198)

Oh, I know she's not like Sakura but IMO, she's more like Sakura than she is to Hinata.

Orihime and Sakura's relationship with the main has been built up from the ground up.

Both actively desire to assist the main in anyway possible and downplay themselves thinking they don't do enough.

Both were picked on at a young age. Orihime for her hair. Sakura for her forehead.

Both are healers.

Both don't like being a burden to the main.

Both of them don't have tunnel vision, but actually assist others.


I'm sure there are other things to list off but ultimately, I feel she's more like Sakura than Hinata.

Don't forget Avatar. The never-ending Zutara vs. Kataang in becoming canon. Kataang was obvious from the start yet somehow Zutara got ridiculously popular and it's supporters intense and aggressive. Eventually, Zutara vs. Kataang spiraled way out of proportion, much more than it should have. HP and Twilight shipping wars were terribly bad and larger-than-life, but Avatar is definitely in the top 5 worst pairing wars ever.

It looks like Naruto is in a similiar situation to the Avatar example. The pairing who probably won't happen is favored and argued ferciously (Zutara/NaruHina), to the point of denial. While the canon couple isn't as popular and though obvious, it's denied. (Kataang/NaruSaku) It's the same situation, I swear.

zuko x katara. that suck. IMO kataang was much more obvious from the biggning . and i become sure about this when they were trapped in the cave and aang kissed katara for the first time! well about zutara it became famous when katara hugged zuko and zuko saved her from azulla. it was just like good friends .
