Great video guys XD. Nice theme and you were all good. I haven't finished all of the part 1, I stopped somewhere in the middle of it but I'll continue it and the part 2 tomorrow XD

Zacrathedemon, you spoke about Neji at the beginning, right? I want to say I totally agree with you, though Neji needed to be killed in order for Hinata to become the heiress, because of she doesn't, there's no other role to her in this manga because I don't see any NH in the end. So, she has to fulfill a role.

I wanted to say this in the video, but I forgot : to be honest... I wanted Neji to become the heir, and for Hinata to give up that position to him in order to fully remove the boundary between the branches. It would be a nice symbol of change as Naruto became hokage.
Needless to say, that's impossible now.

True true, I agree with you there, however, in my opinion, it was a necessary sacrifice in order to give her a purpose if she's not going to be with Naruto in the end, you know?

I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet (blasted Wifi port had to stop working over the weekend) but from the looks of it, you guys had a pretty good time... and 3 hours to kill XD

I personally wanted Neji and Hinata to fall for eachother, I wanted one of them(I prefer Neji) to be the leader and them to lead the clan together. What I think is sad now is that Hinata has never expressed any wish to change the injustice within her clan, or be the heiress her clan needs.

As for the parallells, I think Kishi wrote them with the same steps as NS, but NS will finish the line.
1.Fall in love -> 2.Confess -> 3.Relationship -> 4.Start a family, grow old together.
- The first parallell we got was ObiRin. It was a one-sided love, as far as we know. But Obito got didn't even get to step 2, and he never found out about Rin's true feelings. D:
- The next is JiraTsu, they kind of confessed..O_O They completed step 2.
- MinaKushi got to step 3. They had a successfull relationship, but died.
Notice that all parallels(except of Obito) were just about to complete the next step before they died. Obito regretted that he did not confess to Rin though, let's hope Naruto does not suffer the same fate. JiraTsu would've probably gotten together if he had survived. MinaKushi was just about to start a family.
- NS will complete the final circle. This is hard to explain, I hope anyone got it.

About 615 vs 618, I enjoyed the recent chapter more. The chapter was cool, but it was too much to sink in at once. The last page crushed 615, because I am so excited now. 615 makes less sense IMO, and it got on my nerves. It also wasn't as fun. Because I care about the characters more than Konoha history, I don't think it was fair to put everyone in a bad light so Hinata could get the spotlight. The characters did not make any sense in 615, it was also an even bigger asspull than 618. Now it is the history that does not make any sense. I have quite a few questions, even though I think it will not be answered. Why so unguarded, mysterious mask? It came out of nowhere, I've got to admit. But, whatever...

It's not like this nonsense hasn't happened before anyway. (Obito's flashbacks in the chuunin exams, anyone? )

Oh, and my fave character is Minato, just because I am a fangirl.

I will listen to the rest later, how can you guys talk for such a long time?

I feel kinda bad because I'm listening to the podcast now and...I have a totally different opinion about that hand holding scene from Hinata's perspective. I'm pretty sure I said it before...I think. So I won't again to save space. But yea, it's like Life (I think xD) said in the video...it was honestly just a repeat of the chuunin exams, except it was Hinata that was bringing Naruto- with help from Kurama- back on his feet.

Do we expect too much out of the manga: Sometimes it's like that. I think that's to be expected when it comes to watching shows, reading novels etc. People get so into it that they start to wish to see certain things, especially when it comes to their favorite character. But then the story might become too big if Kishi were to try and make everyone happy, so there will be disappointments sometimes, like with this war for instance. And it is HIS story, so he'll take it where he wants, whether you like the direction he's taking or not.

But in order to no clog this place up with my opinions, I'll end it here xD. All in all, I enjoyed listening to the podcast, and I hope that I'm really able to get my headset this weekend so I can finally join you guys. So...yep

Well, Kishi had the chance to give her a purpose. It's funny, because wasting opportunities is one of his amazing flaws.

He could've chosen to lead her character in a Hyuuga heiress direction. But she will follow Naruto's direction, wherever he goes. He could've made her change the Hyuuga clan. Because Kishi gave the clan problems that needs to be solved, she as the right heiress had the ability to solve it. Shino and Tenten does not need to deal with anything like that. All I am saying is that Hinata as a Hyuuga had a lot of potential, but Kishi threw it out of the window. Although, I've personally always wanted Neji to be the leader. Because I've never had any faith in Hinata and I never bothered to believe she could overcome her low confidence.

I am still a strong believer that is NaruSaku would have worked out the exact same way as MinaKush did if Sasuke's character never existed. Out of all the parallels that there are, this one is the closest to the real deal. And we all know that Sasuke was the idea of the editors to put in a rival.

In the walls of Naruto thread, I explained how in many ways the situation was exactly the same or at least could have been. What really intrigues me is when Itachi told Naruto that it was Kushina and every friend Minato had that turned him into the Kage that he was.

Which could mean foreshadowing for Sakura being the reason why Naruto accepts being Hokage.

We did discuss in the first podcast, the very beginning of part 2. We just saw friendships aspects of the war. I get the feeling the next part could be that one precious person (Sakura). Don't get hopes up, but it could happen.
