Haha no i actually think that their wont be any time that the majority of this fanbase finds a rest. I mean look how sad it already got, they are freakin out because we saw hinatas hand and dindnt see sakura. Last chapter we got an art confirming her as the heroine and now that the next chapter is without her it seems like everyone forgets the past events right? I never saw a real problem with the last chapters. All that annoyed me was the overreacting on the chapters. I think i should stop visiting the manga chapter threads since you only get a negative and wrong view on the chapter there.

So I went and re-read the chapter.

I'm with you here... I mean, imo, why should we feel threatened with two panels of Hinata? None of which were a close up of her face?! A quick Jyuuken tap, no convo, no THANKS HINATA or NARUTO-KUN-ing. No dialogue at all. Would those who are worried feel this way if we replace the character who did all these actions with say, Ino? Or some other girl with no overt romantic interest in Naruto?

I can understand people being worried after 615.

But:

1) Lee was the focus of this chapter.
2) EVERYONE here was supporting Naruto. Kishi is allowing Hinata to fulfill her goal of being able to help him, which IMO, is important so that Hinata can feel she has 'held his hand' and 'walked with him' without NH having to become canon. Plus Hinata was there (with Neji) when he said his shoulder was dislocated. And she might have seen it with her Byakugan.


I understand everyone wants to see Sakura and is tired of Hinata being given any prominence at all, esp because of how we think her obsession with Naruto is at times selfish and unhealthy.

Where I disagree is why should we feel so threatened when Kishi did not put Sakura in the background doing nothing, but seems to have had her OBVIOUSLY missing?

I mean look at Naruto's attack at Obito. He knows Obito can phase. Why would he just throw a Rasenshuriken like that if there isn't someone else (perhaps Sakura and Sai?) waiting in the dimension to ambush him? I mean, Sakura was next to Kakashi. Kakashi can use Kamui. The Kyuubi had given Kakashi some of his chakra earlier. Next thing we see, Sakura is missing...but Kakashi has made no comment about it, but he talks about being able to use Kamui more easily.

Yes, it could be a troll, but at this point, it's not as though the arc has ended and Sakura completely played no role in it. There is a possibility those of you who are worried are right, of course. But I'll reserve judgement, esp since Sakura's speech was the last, and it's more or less sort of following the order of 573.

I just read Zatheko's comment about Gai and Chouji- well for Chouji we just saw him last chapter. Gai...I have no idea. It could be part of the plan. I would rather not assume when right now we don't know. You guys may be right he chooses to ignore Sakura, but at this point, things are still developing. It's not like Madara's been defeated already.

Well for Kishi, it usually lasts for like 3-4 chapters.

I don't feel threatened about NH or Hinata, I just feel pissed about the lack of sakura being in the manga lately, it just seems like shes being forgotten, I know shes not considering the color page of her with the heroes and all, but if kishi was really doing sakura justice than I wouldnt be having this feeling, obviously he is doing something wrong.

At this point, I very much doubt it.

But speaking of the strategy, my guess is the fights will go down this way:

Kakashi vs Obito
Naruto and Bee (and maybe some Akimichis as support)
Alliance vs Madara with Shikamaru leading.

It would be the logical course of events and then the obirin/narusaku will be brought during this but you're right it will most likely won't happen and the strategy will be forgotten because kishi and logic...

I don't think kakashi will be alone to fight against obito it will be a team effort to stop him and Naruto will participate and convert obito.
As for madara i still don't see how he can be beaten.

Hmm, to an extent I guess it's because Kishi didn't give Sakura a lot of fights like those she had with Sasori. So the lack of Sakura bothers us more, just as the lack of Naruto bothered people ALOT when there was an entire period of just Sasuke/Shikamaru.

BUT, I disagree that Kishi is necc doing something wrong just because we haven't seen Sakura yet, because the plan is still going on. What was that about medics and taijutsu specialists for Obito? And Shikaku's inspiration from the comment that the ninja were just like "flies" buzzing over the head of the Juubi. That has yet to be explained.

From a writing standpoint, if the missing shinobi (Sakura, Sai, Choji, Gai) are up to something, he wouldn't want to rob the element of surprise of their attack by showing them doing something. So that's why I think it's a possibility.

Of course, if when the plan finishes and there's no Sakura, then I fully admit I'd be eating crow.

If Kishi just wants to replace Sakura as the heroine, there was nothing stopping him from putting Hinata on the SJ cover. Even if he needs to do the colour cover as Team 7, he could have given NH the colour page. Nope, he just conveniently shoves Sasuke in there.

Fact is you cant ignore a main character. Its not possible, there is no way in making hinata the heroine. You cant make something like that without beeing the worlds worst writer. I doubt kishi is that kind of writer since he made one of the popularst manga.

Sakura has become as non existent as Manti Teo'os girlfriend.

It would be nice to see Sakura once in a while. I'm not even asking for anything pairing related, just throw her in a panel. It is already Tenten's job to hardly show up in this manga

This kitten is so freakin' annoying. I just got home from work, and I'm expecting to see Sakura this chapter given we see practically all of Konoha rookies but no. What the kitten is Kishimoto doing right now? I too much didn't really even give a damn what happened this chapter because Sakura was nowhere to be seen. She wasn't even in the group shot. How can you just shaft a character with such high relevance? It's annoying because now I have to wait another week. And what's more, we get Hinata popping his shoulder back into place. Yes, I'm complaining. I don't give a damn either because this crap that Kishi is pulling is annoying the hell out of me right now. Also, where the hell is Sai?

I really can't deal. I know Kishimoto hasn't forgotten about Sakura but this is just ridiculous. How long are we going to have to wait before she does something. I understand the others getting their time but they've gotten their time before. Sakura barely got kitten during this war. An attack on Zetsu. That's it. Big whoop! I seriously hope she doesn't get relevant because of Sasuke arriving sometime in the future. I'll be even more pissed then. Sorry for swearing but I'm soooo annoyed right now. It's not even funny.

Okay. This chapter was great. It had Lee as a focus and the way they defended Neji's will was great.
I'm not surprised that Hinata fixed Naruto's shoulder. From the moment that I saw ch.615, I knew that Kishi will give Hinata some things as plus. He portrayed her character over bit too much for the sake that she's interested in the protagonist, and for fan service. Though, I really had enough of her, but like I said before that we should expect these things from Hinata and other "N"H moments, seriously.

As for Sakura, still I didn't too much expected that she'll be in this chapter. But I still expect her to appear someway till the end of this arc. The villains are still alive.
Notice that Sai isn't shown either. Seems that Kishi is planning something that that for now I think.

Sakura is going to show up sometime. I know it's hard and it's annoying because we haven't seen her in forever, but we gotta be patient.
I don't want to wait either, but...we have no choice, sadly.

(Hope Sasuke has an insurance; the place looks like it could use some paint.)

Shipping-wise, NH moments continue but nothing has yet confirmed Naruto's romantic feelings for Hinata. How long have these moments been going on? There are moments in ch 614, in really big way in ch 615, in 616 and now in this chapter, at least. So many moments in a row of chapters. It looks really good for NH. But as we still haven't got a confirmation that Naruto's feelings for her are romantic, I don't think anything has been resolved yet. Sakura is still missing, isn't she? Maybe she really has left the battlefield and gone to see Tsunade or something. Though, we saw a lot of people thinking about Hinata's and Naruto's words in this chapter so maybe we see Sakura do the same in the next chapter or so. That should be pretty illuminating when it comes to pairings, too. I sort of plan to just do some lurking until we get more shipping material, as I am not so interested in talking about Naruto in general. I just know my contributions are going to be missed around here.

Edit. About Sakura. If she has gone to see Tsunade, that would really open up some story possibilities for her. If Tsunade dies, Sakura can be there for her and get some time to show her bond with her teacher. Or Sakura can demonstrate her awesome powers by healing Tsunade and bringing her back from the brink of death, referencing back to Chiyo arc about helping someone who matters the next time around. Then if she goes to back to Konoha with Tsunade('s body?) she can have a encounter with certain gentlemen ninja who are around the area with certain business of their own.

Honestyle I'm no surprised about the lacking of Sakura in this chapter... This was a chapter about Naruto and Lee... In the chapter 573, after Hinata's speech follow Ino-Shika-Cho and then Lee e Tenten... And in the end Sai e Sakura, who hasn't been purposely showed in this chapter... It's too soon for them.

I highly doubt she went with Sasuke...they're far away, plus there's no reason or method to somehow transport her there.

EDIT @六道仙人: Hey, you're right! In 573, it sort of went like this Team 8 (Hinata)--> Team 10 (Ino-Shika-Cho) --> Lee and Tenten--> Team 7 (Sai, then Sakura). I mean, it fits almost perfectly except Shino and Kiba didn't quite have 'moments' but they were shown I guess. In the actual fights, it pretty much matched, except for Neji, who eerily, now that we think about it, didn't get a flashback in 573...

I don't even CARE about pairings anymore, I care about Sakura.
Let's be honest here for a moment... Kishi has ruined Sakura's character beyond repair. Because trust me when I say, people won't go past that pep-talk Hinata gave him, ever! While Sakura is left in the background.
It's Pein Arc all over again. Hinata jumped in front of Pein while Sakura cried (though she was taking care of Tsunade).
I don't really care... I AM STUFFED!

You don't want to know other reactions on other forums... Hinata>Sakura, Hinata is better than Sakura, Hinata is more useful than Sakura, so on, and so forth.
