Eh, more pairing drama it seems, and now Mako is wavering between Asami and Korra. Damn you Mako, you typical indecisive shonen lead, you get all the girls and you can't even decide wich of them you want. And the worst of all is that someone will get out of this broken hearted.

Come on, Mako needs more than one woman at a time. He has to play the field.

I'm a teen too. But this is Avatar, not One tree hill or Vampire diaries. Not a soap opera.

She'll probably kiss him, they'll be confused. They won't make out like together, I predict something similar like Kataang in The ember island players.

lmao i'm inclined to agree on the teenagers gonna be teenagers viewpoint, but a whole episode dedicated to it? that's silly. bryke needs to balance it out

but keep in mind:
- this show only has 26 episodes. sure i'm side-eyeing how much romance they've packed into a ONE episode, but at the same time, i don't think they have a choice in the matter. and if so, i can't really fault them for stirring sh♥t up this early on
- Korra kisses Mako, it's not a mutually initiated kiss. with that said, this will only lead to more rising (not falling) action - which is actually contradictory to what you're fearing. it'll be a really good thing for the romantic narrative if he does reject her
- Aang and Katara (both consenting) almost kissed in season one. kinda quick no? and atla had 3 full seasons

Man, I just watched some clips from episode 5.

So, that infamous kiss scene from the trailers do happen, but it feels completely souless to me. Because not only Korra kiss an guy that is already taken, but Mako kiss her back, so in short, Asami gets cheated on her back and poor Bolin is left broken hearted, and you really feel bad for him, and it's just episode 5, I don't know were this is going.

Bolin was hilarious when he was heartbroken. I feel bad for Asami too. If a guy goes for the girl who "makes more sense" to him, it doesn't last long. So if he breaks up with Asami, what happends to the sponsors?

So I finally watched it all, and romance is feeling a little too rushed for me. First, Mako feels off. In the previous episode he was just head over hills in love with Asami and all of a sudden he have mixed feeling about his relationship with Asami and Korra now? And Korra, I understand how you feel, but you need to think about something called consideration. Just because you like someone, doesn't mean it's right for you to ruin an relationship, principally one that is going so well. And then there is Bolin, who just didn't deserved what he got, poor guy is aways getting screwed over in a way or another. And for last Mako, I hope that for now on you treat your relathionship with Asami with a little more respect, because you showed none in this episode.

Its called creating drama and tension the same as in Naruto with the famous shipping wars. They're trying to make a love triangle in order to reel more fans and more rating. And it will work for good, remember its way too early for any pairing to become canon they will probably squeeze this love triangle until the end.

I personally think they're going a bit overboard with this whole 'love/love triangle' thing. Avatar: The Last Airbender didn't focus anywhere near as much or as strongly on the whole 'love ship' as Korra is trying to do, and Avatar was pretty kicka$$ awesome as a result.

i laughed and cried when bolin got heartbroken......XD i couldnt help it...he cried and ran so funny!!

at the end...it seemed like all the pairings went a step back XD

i can go for makkora or borra im happy with either! so im just enjoying the shipping ride~

*pats shoulder*...... last time i complained about a show all my favorite characters went through a 5 year time-skip and disappeared....(...young justice...why...)

just enjoy it yea it might be a little fast....but korra is a straight-forward person and we only have about 7 more episodes before season 1 ends :3

if they get it outta the way now we can have more action/bending/amon stuff later >
