I'm gonna play devil's advocate and say that Guy suffers the same fate as Asuma did. The same goes for Killer Bee in which he suffers the same fate as the rest of the jinchuriki who have fallen before him. I can't wait to see what kind of jutsu that Kisame, Guy, and Bee have in store up their sleeves.

Sadly, I think you might be right... Kisame just seems too powerful to be beaten by Gai and Bee...

You have to remember Kisame is considered the jinchuuriki without a demon. He took on Bee in his 8 tailed form and escaped Bee and the Raikage. I think it's safe to say he will probably esacape.

Ahh but there your wrong. He will remember his name this time. its part of the little thing I dont think people realize. the forgetitng Kisames name was intentional the first time around for Gai.

because that wasnt Kisame fighting. it was a ninja in a kisame chakra suit for all intents, Even Kakashi noted a similar difference a subtle one when fighting itachi.

thats the trick with the first one, he was familiar to Gai but he wasnt Kisame so Gai didnt recognize him.

But he escaped with Zetsu's help, and it was when he fought only Bee while there was cover/an advantage due to the water bubble/ink....wasn't it?

I'll admit I don't remember it too well, but I thought he only managed to get away because of the circumstances of that particular situation; not necessarily due to his own strength.

Your right there, but Kisame had another advantage, his sword Samehada. That thing kept absorbing Bee's demon cloak

Finally read the chapter and awesome Naruto owned Kisame with his new strenght however Naruto didn't mentioned about the part that Kushina said to find a woman like his mother. Oh well obviously Kishi can't make it too obvious (although he already had plenty of times before ) he couldn't make Naruto think about Sakura while remembering his mother's last words. I'm sure a certain fandom will cheer for victory saying that Naruto will choose Hinata.

In response to a handful of posts over the weekend...

If you want to be really technical, the eye movement makes a Z-shape with Naruto's eye still being the focal point.

If this was a planned attempt at hierarchy of any kind, it is a good to note that both Sakura and Hinata's eyes (more or less) also fall along the same line of eye movement, but Sakura obvious falls first on that line. I know someone might say the movement could go the other way, but the rule of thumb is that the you always start with the most dominate object first which is Naruto.

Cool, James. You're exactly right. Their poses do fall along a line to force you to look at it in a pattern. It's a contrived, POV image, not a true memory of them all standing around on the same level. So I think you're idea of them falling on the same diagonal line is right.

Desaix, get where you're coming from. Interpretation is a slippery slope. That's why the I like the body positioning more than attaching my own beliefs to their facial expressions. (I do that too, but I know that only reflects how I feel about a character.) But the way the characters are drawn, intentionally posed, has to do with how Kishi is telling his story. That's what's interesting to me. And I like that you can honestly interpret it two ways: meh, it's just a happy memory pic or holy crap, look at what else is going on there. Both work. (Double entendres in other genres are my favorite bits. But that's revealing a little too much, so I'll just leave it at this. )

However, if you're familiar with Joesph Campbell's Hero With A Thousand Faces heroes journey you'll see most of those points are in Naruto and other manga that have a strong focus on inner growth of the character as well as the outer world journey.

Really, the only major plotline that has any mystery at all is Sasuke ultimate fate-

1) Die as villain.... 2) Die redeemed.... 3) Live redeemed....

I've spent more time typing about my thoughts on this picture, but can I tell you I literally thought of these same things over the weekend? I thought about Naruto as on a hero's journey, about how I ought to pick up a copy of Campbell's "Power of Myth" and that of any pairing in the entire manga that is an absolute unknown is it's the friendship between Naruto and Sasuke.

Not to make more molehills into mountains, but visually I think it's significant that Naruto is now seeing his group in the present, and recognizing Sasuke as how he presently is as well. Mean looking and clearly somewhere outside of Konoha.

And though it's lovely to chew on the shipping stuff, the biggest relationship, the Naru/Saku friendship, is still a complete mystery. You can find support in the manga for all three endings.

Lastly, after reading all the most recent posts, I think that Kisame is going down. No cloak! But I hope that this fight will be way better than the last. I think that neither Gai's nor Kisame's full power has been revealed. And how would Samehada react with all the different chakra going on around it. Wouldn't it want to change sides to the most powerful chakra? And if Naruto's growing trees without even trying, then wouldn't Samehada latch right onto him? Or did Kisame somehow fuse with Samehada when he escaped last time, like Bee and Naruto with their respective bijuu? Anyway, I'm looking forward to some action. After all the talk, talk, talk, it will be nice to see Naruto's new battle skills!

Nonesense Kishi will continue with the NS development until the end of the manga. He likes toying with us the readers and he will continue playing his little game of squeezing the fandom pairings until the end. Besides he needs to keep the fandom of different pairings happy until he feels like it's time to make the pairing canon.

But I have a feeling it won't be long now before NS becomes canon. Kishi will resolve the bench scene from ch 3 not to mention he enforced this with Kushina's speech and the MK NS paralel.

Kisame is what we like to call a brute. All browns and no brains. Well he's not really stupid, he's really powerful but he isn't a tactical genius like Madara.

@Tricksie I think that Shark Skin (I like the dub okay ) will stay loyal to Kisame. Remember that it was a Zetsu clone that Shark Skin betrayed. I think it would be just fine and happy sucking the chakra dry out of it's and Kisame's opponents.

You know, his personified negative emotions from the falls of truth. Look, all I hope for is that Naruto can only access a small portion of the nine tails chakra (which he did say if I'm correct) because either the nine tails is trapped in a confined space and doesn't have a good relationship with Naruto like the eight tails and Killer Bee have, he only has half of the nine tails chakra sealed in him and has to get his hands on the other half for greater power, or both. So in order to master the demon cloak, he would have to become friends with the nine tails and find the other half and have it sealed within him. I also hope that Minato did something with the seal on Naruto's stomach to make it compatible with the FTG jutsu. Killer Bee did say that he saw a yellow flash so it must be the FTG jutsu with a yellow aura covering his body. I bet that "that jutsu" was the FTG jutsu that Naruto tried to master and perfect without the use of those special kunai during his two and a half years of training with Jiraiya but couldn't because it took too much chakra. So Minato could have made the seal work so that the nine tails influence would help Naruto perfect the FTG jutsu. His new seal looks like a full body space-time seal not only for containing the nine tails but also for the FTG jutsu as a substitute for space-time seals placed on special kunai which would be inconvenient. It would make sense if that was a full body FTG jutsu because if Naruto and Madara fight, then Naruto would look like a yellow flash of fast light and Madara would look like a fast mass of swirling shapes and markings. Plus it would only make sense if Naruto could only enter that state when he wishes to use the FTG jutsu and not have that Ninja Jesus Mode as a substitution for the standard jinchuriki transformation. I'm sorry but I just don't see that Ninja Jesus Mode as Naruto's nine tails transformation, that spot is filled for the demon cloak. All I see it is as what happens when Naruto accesses a small portion of the nine tails chakra which makes the chakras influence on the FTG jutsu much stronger thus creating a state where Naruto's body is made of the essence of the FTG jutsu when in use and nothing more. I just happen to find the demon cloak much cooler and I strongly hope we get to see Naruto use the demon cloak like how we've seen Killer Bee put it to use.

But Naruto IS already accessing the Kyuubi's chakra, not just a small part of it. It says here that the chakra is sectioned off from his normal pool of chakra, and in the next page, he shows Yamato and Bee what happens when he uses the Kyuubi's chakra. The only reason why he had a demonic cloak before is due to the Kyuubi's influence. Now that he separated Kyuubi's will/influence/essence from the Kyuubi's chakra, he now has access to a different chakra source, one that apparently has special powers. It's probably a feature of Naruto's new seal that causes him to adopt that form, but he can still manipulate the chakra anyway he wants. The Kyuubi has no more chakra anymore than it probably needs to sustain itself, it's simply an imprisoned demon.

Yeah, that's seems to make logical sense and seems to be the only explanation i can think of myself.

I can imagine the scene from one of the futurama movies were Destructor had leg problems due to Bender hiding Leela, Amy, and Zap in his leg from the tentacle monster when I think about the Naruto getting stuck part of this chapter.

@Shadow_Uzumaki If thats the case I hope he can make a demon cloak version 1 and 2 by manipulating the chakra. I'm sorry if I misunderstand what your saying but if your implying that of what I think you are then I like that idea.

You know all this talk about Narut using the FTG or a simple Shushin, made me realise something, Naruo has never up until this point used the Teleport technique, so as far as i'm aware he doesn't even know the technique, So that probably means he was actually moving at a speed greater than eye can process, not using any teleport technique.

Don't think Kisame has a chance against the combined power of Bee, Gai, Yamoto, and Naruto, might hold his own against Gai, and even Bee, but once Naruto gets unstuck, he's not going to stand a chance, if Samehada liked Bee's Chakra, what's he going to do when he tastes Naruto's vast pool with a generous helping of Kyuubi with sprinklig of the Nature Chakra, it'll bow down and beg Naruto to be his new master.

I wonder if it will be possible for Naruto to now use Sage Mode, with Ma and Pa gathering Chakra, and Kyuubi's Chakra at the same time? that would be pretty darn awesome.
