Been a little while so I apologize if anybody was craving a new blog post 
 
I of course have been busy with my movie blog so I suppose I should update you all on that first

While the movie reviewing has been running smoothly, though, my football watching hit a rough patch in the last few weeks. Both the Minnesota State University Dragons and the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers were on losing streaks...

Oh, and let's jump into the anime world for a bit.
 
First up, Food Wars is back!

Food Wars Spoilers

So, I'm kind of wondering if this whole season will be this festival or if it will end around like Episode 6 or 7. So far it's been fun, though, seeing Erina loosen up is nice and the foodgasms are always great XD. I really hope Food Wars gets the treatment of some other long running series out there. As I know, there's a lot of manga still left to cover, I want to see it animated! ^^

 
Also, RWBY is back.

 

RWBY Spoilers

I really hope this whole season isn't just a waiting period and the group only gets together at the very end. I know they're pretty well split right now but I'm hoping that they meet up about halfway or 3/4 of the way. I can't wait until they all get together and see the character growth.

As for the episodes themselves, carrying on from Volume 3, Yang and Weiss have become my favorite characters. Their development in the last volume has continued here and I'm looking so forward to how they navigate their futures.

 

On a little bit of a downer note, it appears the beautiful part of fall is winding down here in Minnesota. Leaves are really starting to come down, but it was sure nice while it lasted. Here's two I picked up yesterday~

Hey everyone!

 

So, football season is more than halfway over. Overall it's been an up and down season at the college level. The Dragons finished the season 5-6 and the Gophers may finish 5-7. There were certainly good moments, though.

 

For the Minnesota State Dragons, this marks the first time since 1994-1996 that my school has had three consecutive seasons with at least five wins. Not the season we hoped for, but it's still a step in the right direction. When I went to school there, the football team could never get its act together, that's not the case any more.

 

For the Gophers, I was expecting some struggles and that's what's happened. There have been fun sequences,still. 

At the professional level, things have been much better. The Vikings are winning games and are on track for a division championship.

 

Meanwhile, hockey and basketball seasons are starting and for the first time in I can't remember how long, all my teams are winning, Dragons basketball, Gopher hockey and basketball, the Wolves and Wild all have been winning lately. The Wild have had some issues here and there, but for the most part, it's been nice seeing competitiveness from all those teams on a regular basis. Should make the winter months go by smoothly! 

 

Speaking of winter, it has arrived here in Minnesota. It's been here for a while, too, this was in October:

 

So, yeah, snow is here. But at least that means it's closer to Thanksgiving which I'm really looking forward to! Along with Thanksgiving, another good thing that happened this month was the Rooster Teeth Extra Life stream.

 

During this 24 hour live stream, the company Rooster Teeth, which has made shows like RWBY, brought together its community and raised more than $1 million! 

 

During the stream I donated and played some games, too, including Star Fox 64, NCAA Football 2006 and Super Smash Bros. Melee as well as completely going through Zelda: Link to the Past.

 

Speaking of Rooster Teeth, I've been loving Volume 5 so far! 

 

RWBY Spoilers So Far

Ozpin's true background, more training for the characters, including Jaune so maybe we can see his true power soon and Weiss and Yang reuniting and then both of them reuniting with Ruby! I know Yang and Weiss still have to find out the truth about the world of Remnant, but it's encouraging that after everything shattered in Volume 3, things are starting to come together again.

 

I've also been watching the latest season of Food Wars and it's been great!

 

Food Wars Spoilers

The festival portion was a lot of fun to watch, showing off Soma's talents not only as a chef, but also as a salesman and a restaurant manager. It once again brings back the charm of his character which is that he has humble but fantastic experience with a small diner. More recently, though, how about Erina's creepy dad. That dude is a freak. I'm looking forward to how things develop moving forward, this is such a great series.
