Why do I like the "unpopular ships?" (I.e NaruSaku SoKai Pokeshipping Kataang) Is it because I feel it's right?

In Japan they are promoting a lot of SaiGenos, but I'm still somewhat confident that it won't succumb to fans.

Another reason why I question how SaiGenos became so popular, same with SasuNaru. Naruto specifically said he's not gay in the manga despite being Sasuke obsessed. Saitama said the same thing despite the close friendships. Yet for some reason, people believe there is hidden sexual tension. I can excuse SNS, but SaiGenos?...


This trope needs to die, I'm shocked that is still popular. This trope is pretty much everywhere, so you expect people to grow up and get over it.

It's disappointing how fans can destroy any story for selfish need like fetishes.

If you the writer forcefully add in yaoi tease many times without being funny or something alas SN, then yes. I have nothing against yaoi but part of me think Kishi intentionally does these undertones not because of his own wish but because of money generating.

I'm in the same boat, my main two ships are NaruSaku and Harry/Hermione, mostly because they were the two relationships that actually had development throughout the series compared to being just thrown together to appease the masses.

So they got a SNS movie. Of course SP will go for this it's money maker and it isn't Naruto. So with no Hinata for them to fantasize about they are completely fine milking money out of SNS. They know how popular SNS is and how much it will be a money maker from the last. NS it's a very standard shounen romance if someone wants something similar to it they can just watch another shounen manga.

As far as the VA it's the same in the West and in Japan as far as i can tell. All them (except maybe Nana) think the Last was bad and this ending was a mistake. But that doesn't mean they are going to quit their job's over some principles.

bi tch i hate every character now!! i don't care if this naruto or this sakura get together anymore. they screwed the pooch up so badly. they wanted to make us understand naruhina better but guess what? its now a fact that its a one sided, guilt tripping pity part. THAT'S NOT HOW LOVE WORKS! Naruto is such a loser, a failed hero, a broken tired mess, a liar, a manipulator, a terrible hokage, father, friend, husband, hero, politician, AND he's ugly. calling him the worst scumbag if being too nice. this ending is SO bad i can't even look back at canon anymore because i know what it would eventually lead to. plot, drama, character development, consistency, and care no longer matters, fanservice and money won in the end.

 

naruhina/sasusaku didnt win, they're played like fools and still play it up when they're puppets the politics behind everything want them to be.

sasunaru didn't win either they're just as much fanservice

naruto fans didn't win, i for one can't even bother to look at young naruto's face anymore. all im reminded of is betrayal, lies, hypocrisy and foolishness that never grew up.

The last for me is my Cry for Justice (Linkara reference) cause of that movie I can't enjoy the arcs I enjoyed that knowing where it's going and I just weep. The only joy I get out of Naruto anymore is making fun of it and I don't pull my punches with this now. So I'm right there with you on this the Naruto series is like the Halloween series a broken-down incoherent mess, that's last two movies and final story arc shat on the mythos of Naruto.

Sadly, for Naruto and Bleach, it has only been about parings since the ending.

Final Fantasy is the reason why open-endings suck just as much. There was also and ongoing war between Cloti and Clerith, it decreased over time but had started growing after the announcement for the remake. I just scrolled past an NS post where that shipper was pissed of that people would compare Cloti to NS and that NS is more like Clerith. James is mainly trying to address that no matter the paring, people seem to choose the problematic trope over "nice".

If you heard of Life is Strange (spoilers warning), Nathan Prescott is one of the characters people adore the most, despite being mental and abusive, even destined to kill Chloe in the end if you choose to let her die in the end. You sadly sadly see a dedicated fanbase that calls him pure and people shipping him with max.

Then you have Reylo in star wars which us just another SS but even more toxic, and sadly that became a most popular ship.

I have no issues with the problematic trope, but really, is the "nice" trope that bad?

Sadly even OPM is not free from shipping. SaiGenos has been only increasing, and I scrolled past NSFW posts. I wanted to puke. I don't see what is attractive of Human/Robot porn. And Sadly the West even fetishes this, with the amount of SaiGenos doujinshis from not only JP, but West I've seen lately.

I'm starting to wonder if I'm the only one left on this planet that can't stand same sex couple stuff in series whatsoever either canon hinted or fanon, heck I don't get why people don't see the problem with the legend of korra ending, I mean it'd be fine to have it for people that like it  IF IT WASN'T A KIDS SHOW, its like "oh, lets use a kids show to convince kids to be gay or lesbians", its like wtf 0.o

why did superman and wonder women even become a thing in the first place? all the retcons in dc are insane and retarded, heck I don't read the comics but I read enough on the wiki, do those writers have no shame turning a superboy into a villain from losing his universe and then right when he changes his ways and they put in "oh we promise to not torture you to turn you into a villain again" with their self insert writer selves then retcon  that and torture the guy making him become a villain again then seal him in the source wall? SERIOUSLY!??? see this is why marvel is better than dc, and why I prefer anime and the comic cartoons/movies over comic books. there was never a problem with the original superman backstory, I would have been fine if it stayed the same with the fortress and crystals and the lois thing, but they just had to blow him out of proportion because he's so popular right? sigh...

It's always been a thing...even in pre-crisis. Ever read Kingdom Come? No? Well, you need to. Superman and Wonder Women being a couple is NOT a new concept and has existed even in pre-crisis era.

I really wish people would actually read comics and not jsut wikipedia the "idea" of what these characters are.

This is a little hard to read due to the grammar and all, but I guess what you are saying is why do they flux Superman between good and evil so much? Because of Batman and his fans (also Frank Miller). Batman and his fandom have ruined everything it means to be superheores because to them the only way a hero can be good is they have to be edgy, gritty, and always have to act like they got hemorrhoids. Because of this "Dark knight, middle ground, grey area" persona, everyone wants every other character to be the same way.

Are you noticing a pattern here? Let me put it simply. "THE FANDOMS KEEP RUINING EVERYTHING GOOD ABOUT CHARACTERS."

Even manga and anime are staring to have this frigging problem where some of them will do whatever they fans want no matter how damaging it will make the story.

They can't stand the idea of Superman being too perfect and too powerful, so the writer turns Superman in Batman by making his an angry, whiny, teenager who is missing his parents, has no powers, and blames everyone else for his misfortunes. Which is what Batman is...he is also crazy.

They can't stand the idea of any character being better than Batman in any way so they mess with them so Batman can be competitive.

Marvel is doing the exact same thing. Worse still with the movie-verse. Let's see Captain America is fluxing in morals, Thor can't make up his gender, Wolverine is "dead," Spider-Man "has to be black," and so much other stuff that is changing due to either people kittening or complaining or wanting a "different view of it." 

Really, people are starting to say Miles Morals is a better Spider-Man than Peter Parker....and let's not even start with Peter's love life. One More Day anyone?

Oh and don;t even get me started on Bruce Banner (Hulk) and Black Widow love affair in the movies....WHICH NEVER HAPPENS IN THE COMICS AT ALL. Though in one universe, Natasha and Captain America get together to have a daughter.

i've been having problems with casuals as well, thinking they know so much when all they do is watch animated or live action movies when they never picked up a comic. superman HAS killed and must if he has too. did people forget about superman vs doomsday? man of steel gets so much hate its like people dont want to understand or listen to the opposite side and just write their opinion like its fact. they can have an opinion but dont go around spewing nonsense like the world must all take your word for it. i also hate how they just think they can flash the rotten tomatoes score like they've proven something. yeah if you wanna say you enjoyed jar jar binks by 1% more than superman actually punching something go right ahead. P.S. can't wait for dawn of justice.

Kataang is unpopular? I came to Avatar way late, and watched it straight through over the course of a few weeks. And I don't see how anyone could watch that show and think the pairing would end up as anything BUT Kataang.

I agree with you.

Also, I hate the fans that beg and complain for change and how they hate the repeating of the same story, but change anything they love and they lose their minds.

I mean, Why not Superman and Wonder Woman? Superman and Lois has been done to death and it is basically the same old story. Plus, we got some great Supermand and Wonder Woman moments that transcend just "hero and damsel in distress" trope.
