So it says they'll make their first appearance in the movie, I guess that means they won't show up in "Road to Sakura" as some people wanted. I can't help but wonder what that episode will be about.

Not gonna lie, I found the Sasuke/Sakura scene in the trailer kind of cute. Not that it means anything. It's AU, after all. And I'm really curious as to what Hinata was yelling at Naruto about. He seemed freaked out. xD Sakura will probably be flattered by Sasuke at first, but will be bothered by him as time goes on. But I can't see Naruto liking aggressive Hinata at all. xD Also, when Naruto was all, "I will protect my family, no matter what!" in the trailer, it showed Sakura (and Kakashi), which of course means nothing, but I just noticed that. :3

The thing I'm most curious about right now are Sakura's parents. Kizashi a Hokage? Interesting, and Mebuki and Sakura quarrelling, I wonder what about. o: I wonder if we'll find out any more about the Haruno clan in general; I hope so. But, with all the development, I'm left wondering how Sakura's parents are in reality - obviously Kizashi won't be Hokage, but are their appearances going to be the same? Are their personalities going to be switched around? I kind of hope not, since Mebuki being "scary when angry" will parallel Kushina, Yoshino, Tsume, and yes, Sakura. Hah. I really hope we get to see them in the manga, as well, but I guess this will do for now. Maybe we'll see their true selves at the very end of the movie, when Naruto and Sakura escape the genjutsu and return home.

 

Road to Sakura (eps. 271) will be out July 26. 2 DAYS BEFORE ROAD TO NINJA!

Crap. For a second there I forgot it was June and got really excited. xD Silly me. Either way, I hope it's going to be one of the "good filler" episodes.

Gai and Sai (rhyme!) look silly. Heh. And I wonder what Naruto and Sakura are running away from, they look freaked out. But as long as they're together... <3

Hey everyone.

I was hoping for new info. Well, the Sakura's parents one are though. Still, wonder why now.

Anyway, I just want to come here and comment on NaruSaku since someone in here brought it up. I remember one guy say something that anime/manga/movies/ova put NaruSaku on the mat. I agree. There are tons and tons of NaruSaku moments that they have established and it's not even one-sided. That's the funny part. Anime added other two, but they made those moments open-up to diminish. For example: SasuSaku are from flashbacks and her confused feeling (one-sided). NaruHina are from Hinata's perspective view (acknowledgment), and everything Naruto said is a compliment to her ability, not like "one day, we can date each other when this is over." The thing is NaruSaku is based on both sides. Sakura thinks the best for Naruto and his safety, while Naruto continues to cheer her and make her smile forever-lasting. Remember, Naruto will not allow her to be depressed, hence him worried. Yeah, that ova pretty much start writing on stone (even if it's apart from manga). So yeah, I doubt Kishi will leave the NaruSaku fanservice alone. In fact, the beginning and the end is, what I believed, a moment for them. I can already feel it.

By the way, did Akatsuki attack BEFORE genjutsu? I could've sworn I read that somewhere.

I don't really mind that their debut is in a movie, just that it's in this particular movie and it's all because of the genjutsu thing. It just seems strange that the first time we are introduced to these characters is when they aren't themselves. Also, the reason why the whole "switched personality" thing works with the other characters is because we know how they're actually supposed to act. You know, Hinata is usually shy and reserved, but in this movie, she's out-going and assertive and that's what makes it funny, becuase it's so unlike her. However, if we don't really know how Mebuki and Kuzashi are supposed to act in the real world, then how are we supposed to properly contextualize their AU personalities with their real world personalities.

Then again, maybe I'm just overthinking things. Maybe their personalities won't be switched at all and it's just their circumstances which are different, i.e. Kuzashi being hokage etc. etc. Besides, if Tobi Madara knows enough about Sakura to put an "ideal" version of Sasuke in the genjutsu, then he probably knows that Sakura will instantly be able to spot if anything seems off with her parents behaviour.

Humm, I still hope that, even if the special episode of Sakura will occur before the movie coming out in theaters, that we'll see her parents in there. I mean, it's suppose to be Sakura-centric episode so I find it stupid not to introduce her parents there. However, not seeing them in the manga before the movie is a little dissapointing but I guess it's better seeing them in the movie then not at all.

Bolded: my guess is, which I'm willing to bet a hundred grand on, is that it's thanks to executive meddling. It's highly likely his editor was the one who turned Kishi's requests to introduce her parents in the manga.

I think they may be pretty much the same, but Sakura said both her parents were strict, so Kizashi may have a somewhat different personality in the real world. He's likely just a standard Chunnin rank in the real world, so he's probably away on missions most the time (similar to the "salariman" situation in real world Japan. Sakura may have only seen him briefly on an occasional basis when she was a young child. When Sakura was a preschooler and in the Academy, Mebuki focused on telling Kizashi on how Sakura had misbehaved while he away on missions, so Sakura got punished twice for her misbehavior- when it happened by her mom, and again by her father when he returned home. Mebuki would yell at her, then father would tell her how disappointed he was with her misbehavior, so she started repressing her "unlady-like" emotions around her parents and suffered from very low self-esteem....

I think it's possible that the personalities aren't too shockingly off from her real parents though. I could see actually her father secretly being proud of what his daughter has grown up to be, but has never told her. While her mom still thinks Sakura isn't striving hard enough so they endlessly argue. It may be that the only thing that is different about her mom is the colors are flipped on her clothing with the family crest colored red instead of white, and three circles instead of one.

And as I've said before, this Sasuke isn't real. These moments won't be genuine. However Naruto and Sakura will still be very real and will most likely have to work together in this film which will probably provide some real narusaku moments.

Ohana is more of a Sasuke fan and she doesn't like Naruto and Sakura. I notice the times she uploaded manga spoilers whenever there was something about Naruto and Sakura she will somehow twist the words as it reflected some slight bashing, I'm not the only one who noticed. But anyway like Codus said she's trolling if we remember that scene from the trailer when Sasuke is offering the rose to her, with the way she was tightly holding her robe and her expression there's no way her heart will start beating fast as a romantic sign, more like beating fast from the sudden shock.
