She went to kill Sasuke, but she didnt, when she arrived she showed she was still evaluating a plan to kill him, she was still asking for asnwers if Sasuke was really evil and she only truly decided to kill him after Sasuke demanded her to kill Karin to prove her loyalty.I'm sorry but you're wrong. You see I already completely and utterly destroyed the argument of Sakura wanting to kill Sasuke from the very beginning in my first rant. But hey let me do it again just for the fun of it.
You see that argument is contraindicated by Sakura's own actions, by the way events took place. You see Sakura going to Naruto first and confessing her love for him was because she wanted Naruto to come back to the village with her, Sakura herself says this. Killing Sasuke was plan B in case plan A which was getting Naruto back to the village, fails.
If she truly wanted to kill Sasuke from the very begining she would have taken her friends with her, or made a better plan, i believe deep inside she wanted to convince Sasuke to stop and come back to the village and if she fails she would kill him with the poison which indeed makes sense, to poison Sasuke she would have to attack him in an vulnerable occasion but she needed a reason which was Sasuke being evil.If Sakura wanted to kill Sasuke from the very beginning then why did she go to Naruto first? It doesn't make any sense regardless of how you want to view this moment. Sakura's own actions contraindicate that argument. The chain of events don't add up.
She knew it would not work but she did it anyway and it's said by Sai and mostly important Naruto did the same by asking the raikage to pardon Sasuke despite knowing it was useless.Unless you want to believe that Sakura already knew that Naruto wasn't going to believe her and call her a liar. And she already knew that bringing Naruto back to the village with her was impossible because Naruto still believes that she loves Sasuke. And the only reason to go to Naruto in the first place, was to tell him that she loves him and she wanted Naruto to know how she feels about him, in case she doesn't return alive from where she was really going to go.
She's smart but she's not smart when feelings are involved, she was desperate and it's reasonable she would take any plan even it fails and the two plans would fail since the begining due to the lack of thinking. Now Sakura is smart, but even she is not that smart. There is absolutely no way she could possible predict that Naruto wouldn't believe her and call her a liar and refuse to return to his home with her.
You're assuming that she would be capable of killing him, it's proved that she knew it would not work when she tried to stab Sasuke, she said "i knew i could not do it".Now her plan B was simple. Get Sasuke to lower his guard by "joining" him and eventually take advantage of that and kill him. That's it, it's simple and straight forward. Plan B only has two faults, first of all herself because she is like Naruto, she just can't do what is necessary kill Sasuke. And secondly Sasuke because she had no way of knowing that Sasuke was going to kill her regardless if she wanted to join him or not. Sasuke was in his "I want to kill people" mode.

Chapter 540 is like when tobi announce that he is madara, but he still use his mask.
Don't focus on the mask.
And yet, that's where most people are focusing at, especially those on other ship & those who are at the verge of abandoning what they're standing for all this time. This masks also part of the factor that initiate the false sense of character development, especially regarding SS. How many that actually see underneath the underneath? Once the mask is unveiled, I presume many (those who are bit extreme with all this shipping) will wreck havoc and shot everybody's face, especially us the NS and Sakura's supporters.
Well, a few more hours until tomorrow release. Let's see who's prediction will hit the mark for tomorrow's chapter. hoping mine will hit a few, but I'm really not good with guessing game. LOL.

Sorry to be a downer, but I wouldn't get your hopes up too much, there might be little moments, but nothing big yet. The biggest thing we might get is Naruto encouraging her, which I believe will happen. I think he'll give her and Kakashi his BM/SM chakra so that they can help out in the fight, and Sakura will question herself and ask Naruto of it's ok, and then he encourages her by telling her he's strong or something....I'm expecting something big tomorrow. ^.^

@Pepsi: I can’t say I’m surprised that you gave up on NS, but I’m shocked by the way you say it. You’re very rude in your way of explaining your choice that is to move on from NS and Sakura herself. It’s been like weeks that you were complaining about 540 and Sakura not moving on from Sasuke after the murder attempt, if I understand well what you were trying to say since that time, you don’t care that she’s starting to move on at the current time of the manga because to you, she should have forgot about Sasuke after he tried to kill her.
I won’t say anything to make you change your mind, it’s been a long time you’ve been disturbed by Sakura’s feelings in 540, and no matter how many posters in this forums tried to cheer you up, you stayed on your mind that Sakura is stupid for still loving Sasuke after he tried to kill her a desperate case if she happened to not say the truth during the confession, and I highly disagree with you, but it’s normal, since we don’t have the same interpretation of Sakura’s feelings.
The only thing I could tell you is to reread the manga. In most case, we happen to see it in another light, see things differently, and to have different interpretation.
To me Sakura’s character is beautiful, she represents the hard and long process of getting over a heartbreaking love that put you down through your whole life and discover what true love is. Love is a feeling that makes you always happy without you even noticing it and that’s what Naruto bring to her, this feeling of happiness, he always cheer her up when she’s sad because of Sasuke, the last example being the very last chapter.
But I have another problem with what you said about Sakura. Her whole world doesn’t turn around being acknowledged by Sasuke. She has preoccupations other than that, she has her bond with Tsunade and Kakashi, she has her rivalry with Ino, and most importantly, her aim is not to gain Sasuke’s acknowledgment, it is to get Team 7 reunited once again, and it being happy like in the old times. Sasuke’s acknowledgment is just a part of her character, just like her feelings for him, it doesn’t describe her whole character, it’s just part of it, like her growing feelings for Naruto are part of her. If you get what I mean, Sakura’s not a one dimensional character who only turned around her will of being acknowledged by Sasuke, like Hinata is towards Naruto. I don’t know if that’s what you wanted to say, but if it’s not the case, then I think I should let you know that it is the impression you gave.
And one last thing, if Sakura’s unbreakable bond with Sasuke makes you hate her, than you must really badly hate Naruto too, because Naruto is 10 times worth than Sakura when it comes to his lifelong devotion. While Sakura still has her moments of doubt and in which she sees how dark Sasuke became, Naruto knows it but still consider him as the friend he want to save and is always thinking about him. More than Sakura is actually doing.
Now ship NS, don’t ship it. You can do what you want, but the best advice I could give you is to stay away from anything pairing related and reread the whole manga without shipping point of view. You will surely have a well more unbiased point of view of the overall story.

Again the problem is that at this point it's hard not to see Naruto as a silver medal, Sakura referring to Sasuke as the someone else while setting up NS as endgame makes it look like Sakura hasn't moved on at all.
I want to love NS but it's hard to do that when it's end result is based on Sasuke becoming evil and not her actually choosing Naruto over Sasuke that opportunity came and went with the fake confession.

She choose Naruto just because Sasuke turns evil, you say? Fake confession? Now, you really don't see everything in a bigger picture aren't you? And your reasoning keeps on changing from one to another, the way I see it. In what light she chose Naruto just because Sasuke turns evil? She even had that chance to really walk with him, if she really still in love with him. But she chose to do everything in her power to protect and devoted herself towards the most important thing to her, ever since the part 2 starts, which was only hinted in part 1. The way I see it, you really can't come to term that she is actually grow out of her crush long ago, but the confusion is all because 'she thought that she still love Sasuke panel'. While it has been really apparent that she has develop more and more feeling and affection towards Naruto. And this has been on displays one too many times to even being listed here, even 10 years old kid can interpret it quite easily. Which part of it that she won't chose Naruto out of growing emotion and affection she has for him? And which part that she chose him just because he's the second choice since the first one choose to be evil? Even the confession is debatable to be assumed as fake. The intention was clear : to end the promise that had caused too much harmed on Naruto's life. And if you say that she didn't love him, why she need to think that through? Out of many method, she chose to confess. She know that she deeply cared for him, more than just close/best friend and more than anything. Even the confession itself was left to be ambiguous since I predict that it will be brought up again to be clarify. And why she would get mad in the first place when Naruto accuse her to do such thing in such place, not back at Konoha, not anywhere else and why now? Someone who really don't feel anything for him won't get that mad when being accused. Instead, Sakura should feel completely surprised that she's underestimating him and her speech would become monotone if it was fake. The thing that makes the confession fishy is the real reason why she did it in the first place, which is to cover up the operation on eliminating Sasuke. Naruto sense this as the actual reason for them to come. The reason why they were there at that moment. Not towards the confession itself. His curiosity is understandable, since it is weird for a girl to come all the way there with so many escorts just to confess? He saw something else was in play, and he demand her to tell the truth of she being there, the thing that Sai said (as in sync with situation) that she could not brought herself up to tell him. So now, in what light that the confession is a fake and she chose him as the silver medal?

I know I hated the confession...BUT at the same time, it does show that Sakura HAS thought about being with Naruto and the idea doesn't repulse her as most ANS would say.
Think about it: If Naruto hadn't called her out on the kitten, and accepted it, NS would be canon right now, because Sakura isn't the type of girl to do all of that and then say "LOL Nope" and then just kitten with him
