It's not because narusaku haters are bashing that we must also bash hinata.
I like this character a lot, and it doesn't make me anti-narusaku...
I think we should be more intelligent and stop those pairing wars, because it's ridiculous...
Maybe some people are bashing sakura a lot, but i don't want to be as bad as them
edit : besides, i just wanna say that i'm a little worrying too about what Kishi plans to do

well she kinda already knew that naruto wouldnt go for it in the first place (to stop going after sasuke) thats why she confessed instead. im sure it would have been easier to just say forget the promise of a lifetime, but she confessed. so her knowing it wouldnt work but did it anyway kinda of confuses me

I look at it this way.
If she pulled the confession randomly out of thin air, then it's genuine because she would be going off on emotions which in my opinion much better at saying the truth than logic will ever do.
If she planned it (which Sai said she didn't) then it's genuine because she cares enough that she was willing to commit right then and there. I mean if she had planned it, and Naruto for some reason believed her, she would have lived those consequences whatever they may be.
She did it to protect him. She wanted to ask for his forgiveness from the burden of the POAL, and instead got her own feelings jumbled and said what came to her mind. I actually think that it was a spur of the moment thing, hints the blush in 469

And I refuse to believe that Sakura would hurt Naruto that much just to relieve him from his POAL.
Which doesn't make any sense anyway...
She knew that Naruto loved her so it would be really low of her if she used that in any way.

If she really means it, if her confession is genuine- then cheers for Narusaku.
If she didn't mean it and was doing it to 'save' Naruto, then it's an even more amazing bond, because she is willing to sacrifice her 'love' of Sasuke for Naruto...This, in my opinion, is an amazing sacrifice.
I will be satisfied with such a tight bond between the two, and even if in this case Naruhina does happen, the bonds that Naruto and Sakura will always share will transcends everything, even whatever relationship that an eventual Naruhina would have.
I don't know if anybody ever heard of the Hindu story of Radha and Krishna...Radha and Krishna were friends since childhood and loved each other - Radha reminds me much of Sakura, always very 'bossy' over Krishna and Krishna is very similar to Naruto - always playing pranks and harrassing her.
Krishna got married to someone else and Radha to someone else, but their love and bond transcends time. Their names are always linked together - RadhaKrishna, and they are known as the ultimate love, the mythical lovers.

Sorry... I didn't mean to offend Hinata in the first place,
I'm a bad person, I know...

Databook 3:
From Sakura's chara page, "Naruto" section:
"Since when she was a child Sakura had always felt admiration and a feeling similar to love for Sasuke. Naruto was just an "annoying" boy who stood in the middle between Sakura and Sasuke and disturbed their relationship. But after completing many missions together with him, she looked back at the past and finally realized: when she was in trouble, when she was ready to give up on her life, the one who was always there, protecting her and encouraging her, was in fact that "annoying" boy, Naruto. What are her current feelings for Naruto...? Sakura still hasn't found an answer."
It's obvious, so she can show more love towards Sasuke, confirm as many times her feelings for him, this information (with Yamato's speech) just make it obvious.
Just link it with the two last interviews.
Interview 2010:
Sakura's acting a little haughty towards Naruto
She'll be more heroine-like from now on
"As for Sakura... Sasuke... what about Sasuke? Naruto is close and she worries about Naruto as well, but as expected, she [loves] Sasuke.
Because of this, she acted quite haughty towards that guy.
She used Naruto's love for her and told him she loved him.
On the contrary.... I felt like depicting an honest girl, with a surprisingly stubborn impression.
So... she became such a character, but... well... from here on, maybe I should draw her showing a bit more spirit.
I figured I had placed her in a heroin-like situation
But from the readers I was told harshly that she wasn't heroin-ish at all
Perhaps I should show depict her a bit more like a heroin
Because you say 'Hinata Hinata,' I say 'She's not Hinata' "
The basic premise is: Sakura loves Sasuke more than Naruto. She hasn't been that heroin-ish, but Kishimoto-sensei will try to change that.
Interview 2011:
We will get more info on Naruto, Sakura and Kakashi
It's so obvious that she will realize her love for him any time soon.
For her confession, it was really fake, the blushing part and the hug, all was played by Sakura.
Kishimoto said in his interview that this was her intention, to play with Naruto's feelings.
That's why he said that she was haughty towards him. You have to know that Sakura doesn't understand her feelings for him, she didn't understand Yamato's speech, so she didn't realize her feelings yet for Naruto. So it's pretty impossible that her confession was true.
I think that Sakura sees Naruto as a friend, but doesn't know that it's more than that, that when he's in danger or when he's hurt she shows her real feelings for him. (feelings that she can't understand right now)
And it's pretty obvious that she still doesn't know her feelings for Naruto, I don't remember a scene where she's thinking about her feelings for Naruto.
So I think that Kishimoto is planning to make Sakura in love with Naruto. That will make her an heroine-like if you refere to Yamato's speech.
Yamato: It's not what you do for Nauto that's important, it's how stroungly you feel about him that counts.
I can tell just by looking at you, the truth is you...(love him)
This is the key for Sakura's grown up. If she understand Yamato's lesson, than she will be without no doubt an heroine-like towards Naruto.
That is what Kishimoto wants.

Most of that interview of 2010 is wrong and fake and has been played with from Sasusaku translations. that 2011 one was never said either.
Kishi did say she was an honest and determined girl when asked why he made Sakura play with his love. We don't know the confession is fake no one in the manga said it or even Kishi we just need her POV and perspective. so no i don't think the confession was fake just not caring about sasuke was. you can see her feelings for him build up since part 1 through part 2 stronger and stronger and the hints are all there. i think shes aware of romantic feelings for naruto but shes still confused. plus she got pissed off at Naruto for playing off her feelings for him like they were nothing.so she loves both boys and during the 2nd reunion her feelings are shown to be definitely stronger for Naruto. Sakura is gentle with narutos feelings when hes serious and defends him like no other because shes knows him better then anybody apart from Sasuke. read the manga again you will get it right. at the end when Sakura finds out about the bench scene she will then know he is the one. kishi is smart he not gonna reveal anything untell the end.
