Not really, as it wasn't that profitable, after you consider the cost to print the books and novels and paying the bills to export the novels to the west. In other words, 2.9 million isn't that much.@bail

To be honest i think the light novels for how many that were release this year did sell poor over all. Just because they released that many and they only sold over a million.

How do you know it's profitable when you don't know how much money they spend on making them and advertising them and other costs?
If you have the numbers of much money they spend on them then you can say it's profitable or not. Either wise you can't.

Which I've told you - time and time again - is dangerous! There will never be consensus, son, among those you have helped to ascend. They will all differ in their views of what it means to be free. The peace you so desperately seek does not exist.
These men are united now by a common cause. But when this battle is finished they will fall to fighting amongst themselves about how best to ensure control. In time it will lead to war. You will see.

You are right that I don't have the number, but considering that this is a spinoff and not actual series than yes, a combination of 5 novel for a 800k is a profit.
And can you prove that it's not profitable?

No, I can't but neither can you. Since neither of us know the cost of producing them, advertising them and other costs.
Saying it's profitable is just you speculating.
I can tell you I made a phone and sold 100 million of them for 100$ a piece. If I don't tell you how much I spend on R&D, the material cost, build cost, marketing, etc.
It's all meaningless. You have no idea if it was profitable for me or not.

There is an easy way to get sort of an answer to this. Does anyone still have contacts in Japan? If someone does and if they don't mind asked them these numbers and the general opinion of Naruto from around their area and if they consider it good or bad numbers.

I don't think naruto doing bad when the gaiden whose story is nothing more than soap opera could make a million and that happen in japan. There is an easy way to get sort of an answer to this. For good or for bad, naruto is still popular.

You never watch Hey Arnold? Here's the background:
The very last episode was a movie length special of the origin of Arnold's parents and how they got together and gave birth to Arnold. There were hints that could unfold in the later episodes, like the mysterious tribesmen. So the end of that special have Arnold discovered a map that leads to his parents' whereabouts. And it ended and never concluded.
We don't know what happens next. We don't know what secrets unfolds. We don't know if Helga and Arnold get together. We got nothing. The creator said that it was supposed to be a movie to continue the story of his parents and pretty much conclude it there. There's even a lost footage surface on the web.
But now, *plays a holy light soundtrack like, with sun shines* we are finally going to get our long waited conclusion.
Actually, the fans have known forever what happens-that's why there's been a years long drive to get it made
Craig Bartlett has talked about it in multiple interviews. Arnold admits to loving Helga, they kiss, but it's interupted by Gerald in a comedic way. Arnold finds his parents, who have been chasing after the villain who wants the Green Eye's treasure. The villain kidnaps Arnold's classmates and holds them threatens Arnold to tell him where the Green Eyes are, etcetc. Arnold and Helga do end up together, they get married, have children, all that jazz.
That being said, this movie is not for the old fans of the show. Nick stated it's only for their 6-11 demographic and Bartlett said he has to find a way to make it accessible to them. They're also getting a redesign.

I think Sakura looks gorgeous without makeup.Sakura just doesn't look good at all in those kinds of images (like the left one), all powdered up and such. It just looks so unnatural, like she's trying to hide her shame and inner ugliness over this by attempting to "beautify" the outside.

You know something was going through my mind after the announcement hit, and it's obvious that Naruto is not going to end any time soon. Now here is something came to my mind if you have a kid (or kids) and they asked you what Naruto was? How would you bother explaining it to them? If so would you introduce it to them?
Now here is my explanation to this:
The only way I would introduce my kid (whenever that will be) is through Road to Ninja since I feel like that is a self contained story on it's own and doesn't really require the core story with a few exceptions (Obito being around at the end).
I'm sure they could also stumble across it (the core story) at school like at the library or their group of friends, which is possible, the Road to Ninja Movie is probably going to be the only way I'd show them as far as Naruto goes.

THAT'S WHAT HEROES DO, THEY SAVE PEOPLE!!

What does it mean when naruto doesn't pass genin exam three times?
I've kind of wondered about that as well. The class that Naruto 'graduates' with is the same age as he is, but if Naruto had failed to pass two times before the first time we meet him, does that mean Naruto started the Academy two years earlier than the others? Or did Hiruzen put Naruto in an accelerated class to have him out of the Academy quicker?
But then again, with the timeline, I doubt we will ever get a concise answer. I mean look at how they (Kishi, SP) went back and ruined the timeline with the 'genjutsu flashbacks' in the Last and all the fillers that have tried to fill in the pre-manga time.
