I already posted those news on the PSN is down thread. You can't believe how pissed I am when I saw their update. Dear god, should've told us a week ago....

About what? Information being compromised? How would you have known that Sony was certain that any PSN info was compromised a week ago? You wouldn't.

QUOTE (Illmatic @ Apr 26 2011, 06:51 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
You guys are enjoying this huh laugh.gif Whatever gets you going I guess.

It's a damn shame. They've really gotta work on their security, it's unacceptable. I didn't care much for Hackers before, but they've come across as cyber terrorists to me. So much for the "we're fighting for the consumers!" bs they've been spewing. They need to get a life, or get laid. Eh, the latter will probably happen after hell freezes over.

I'm sure their security was pretty high end. We don't know how many people were working to bypass it and we don't know how long it took them to do it. People do this stuff for a living like it's second nature to them. It's really not a surprise.

Too soon for AC3. I'm hoping a E3 announcement.

The announcement said that the game would explain the fate of the three major characters: Desmond, Ezio and Altair... does this mean this is going to be a triple campaing?! That would be seriously epic!

Well, we already know what happens to Altair... he just grows old.

I'd like to know who Ezio settles down with, and what the hell they did to Lucy and if she's really not who she says she is.

That's not quite true, we don't know much of what happened to Altair after he became an master assassin, apart from what the codex says, there must be a lot of memorable things that he did and we don't know, finding out how his lineage went from middle east to europe is also of my interest. But what happened to Lucy is also my biggest curiosity.

This. To be honest, I'm more interested with what's going to happen with Desmond after that than anything. Plus, I'd like to know if they plan on incorporating assassinations with Desmond in the future. That could be cool(or it could totally backfire...but hey...).

If we have a triple campaign, I'd be very pleased. Just getting to play as Altair again would make me happy. Not that I don't like the other characters in the franchise, I just actually found myself liking Altair and getting invested in his story, but aside from Bloodlines he's the least used of our two main assassins.

Any of you guys read the Assassins Creed comic? It's supposed to be fantastic. Stands alone too, telling of a russian assassin. Also by Karl Kerschl and Cameron Stewart, big names in comics. Might be worth a read for fellow AC fans; I plan on getting the trade when it comes out this September.

Yes! I'm actually quite glad to be playing Ezio one more time, finishing up his own character arc. Altair in the same game is also awesome, would be cooler (or not) if they can somehow meet via the apple or other 'sciency-magic' by the Pieces of Eden and that could lead to them talking to Desmond...somehow. Hopefully it'd be a memorable and epic good bye to the two Master Assassins as we move on to a new story.

One thing I'm a bit worried about is... how is this going to affect the main trilogy? Obviously, Brotherhood had implications on the franchise as a whole. But now we're having a second kinda-sorta main entry. At this point, would it even be possible to play just the three main installments and get the full story? Starting to sound like a "no", but I guess we won't know for sure until III rolls around next year.

I wonder if III will use the animus too, with a new ancestor. I want to assassinate in Desmonds near future, but I like the period piece nature of the animus memories of ancestral assassins.

I'm really hoping for 18th century London or something for the next period.

The period piece nature is cool. I kinda have a "Been there, done that" feeling at this point though.

Despite what I said above that actually does sound like it could be good.

I can understand this to some extent. Still, I think there's a lot of potential still waiting to be mined with it, which is kind of why I'm glad they're going to be closing the book on Ezio and moving on a bit. Plenty of different time periods to mine we're missing out on.

Well, Assassin's Creed 3 might most likely be a continuation of Desmond's story or either a new Assassin and a new batch of characters.

I wonder what the odds of that being a trainwreck are. Modern Warfare 2 had it's share of criticism as it was. Now, there isn't really much left of Infinity Ward.
