I know. It's everywhere. Just looking at my screen I see it.

I wonder if the whole reason Azami is doing what he is believes is getting revenge on behalf of Jouchirou? Jouchirou never finished his last year at the school, and Azami seems to be more in love with him than a obsessive lover so it wouldn't be a far stretch to think that the Jouchirou clashed with the system and was dismissed from school exploiting the old system. Azami blaming the school, the system and the director set out to destroy the system and set in a procedure that doesn't allow such 'whatever the reason was' to happen again.

 

Ofcourse this brings up the possibility that he seduced the  directors daughter, got her pregnant to tie her down, and planned to use his child to break the system in the first place..in which case no matter the outcome his actions are unforgivable....ofcourse this being Manga from the same publisher that bought us the person responsible for Naruto's parents death and thousands of ninja's being referred to as an awesome guy so Azami's actions are minor in comparison.

I think it was pretty much pointed out in this chap that his reasons/actions are all about Joui, but I don't think Joui clashed with the Tootsuki system specifically bc wouldn't that leave him on bad therms with Senzaemon (which obviously not the case) as he was the headmaster at that time!?   

I was pretty entertained. The reaction is priceless. The aftermath is still in the air, so I'm still worried, like should I expect:

-Soma-kun
-Soma-sama
-"I won't let the world end because I love Soma-kun!"
-"Erina can sense Soma-sama is near!"

But I guess I got to wait. The politic part is expected, especially after what we went, so it didn't surprise but the third seat getting boot does make me wonder if we're going to get him to do anything. It can't be always elite 10 vs the heroes, so why not former ones. Got to do something different, especially now we have recruiting time, which can be interesting. So I look forward to it. Still waiting on that leaked tweet but this is the beginning, so yeah.

That last one was priceless      . God I hope that's not the case ugh!!!.

 

Well they're not introduced for nothing so they'll probably be involved in the Shokugeki's maybe even join PSD!? Either way Ishiki is certainly planing for something, his calm face and the fact that he expected all of this should be an indication of it.

Why is Azami so surprised about Soma being in the same year as Erina? True, Soma is apparently a few months younger than Erina, but both still graduated from middle school at the same time. He prob realized that Sazaemon is trying to set Soma and Erina up? Or maybe he knows something about his Saiba-senpai which we didn't. Anyways, I never thought that Azami would be so obsesssed with Jouichirou... It's more than creepy, lol.

I still don't understand how the hell he can just fire three students from the Elite 10. That doesn't make any sense from a logistical standpoint...

Azami definitely knows something about Jouichirou his past is still a mystery for us and remain to be seen but I think the coincidence part he spoke of is bc now he has the chance to change "the culinary world - Tootsuki"  through both Erina and Soma making a parallel between him and his dear Saiba senpai lol. We know that Erina is the key to hip plans as Hisako said and now in this chapter he's overjoyed that he can show that sight to his Senpai's son and maybe impress Joui LOL XD. So I think he's probably gonna go after Soma and try to force him to his side!?

Oh I doubt. In the best Case Scenario things may play out with Erina at first being too embarrased and abashed now that she knows so when ever she's near Soma at first she'll run for the hills. then eventually she'll just start to be nicer and probably be  bit more open with him, and  and from then on their relaionship will actually start and improve. Well best case scenario. Like she'll probably only open up to Soma because he's Jouichiro's son, but eventually shell actually learn more about him and genuinely fall inlove with his personality and quirks. It's just that her knowing is most likely ment for her to stop putting up her walls around Soma. Well again the ideal scenario,but let's be real. Any less than that and this romance WOULD BE as shallow and petty and unromantic as we fear.

 

We can hate the kitten series but it will never be erased from our minds................       ..................

Well we don't know much about him from that time in the first place, we only know that he was called the "Asura" (which means Demon I think) bc of his "demonic like cooking" not much about his personality, its doesn't necessarily means the he was also an arrogant prick like lol  so far we only know that his way of cooking kind of change for the better bc of his wife  XD.

 

Well he could have also left on its own bc he felt there's nothing more that Tootsuki can teach him it can be that kind of thing too!? Its odd bc so far we have no indication that he has ever had any beef with Senzaemon in fact its quite the opposite they have deep respect for one another, its also weird that Joui would send his son in Tootsuki  in the same system that failed him right!? . But going by your theory would make sense too, that parallel though  .

Yoshino and Marui spat out their juice at this proclamation. Marui goes into a coughing fit.
Aoki: “…why?”
Yoshino: “I don’t want Isshiki-sempai to stop being the 7th seat!”
Isshiki: “Unfortunately, it’s something I can’t avoid. However, I intend to use the time I have the power of the E10 to arrange a plan to the best of my ability”
Soma: “plan?”
Isshiki: “A certain rule cocncerning the upcoming ‘survivor hunts’”

~With the E10/Central~
Momo takes out some documents.
Momo: “What’s this?”
The document is a list of rules for the ‘survivor hunt’.

The 4th clause was the one inserted by Isshiki.
In order for neutral judges, they are to be selected from outside Tootsuki. Odd number of judges are chosen at random from the industry and various associations. No contact allowed between the judges and participants before the shokugeki.
Rindou: “..that Isshiki. He prepared such a thing. With this, it’s perfect in terms of fairness. What a guy to not miss a thing.”

Everyone at PSD are also talking about the rule. It seemed that with the power and connections only an E10 can have, Isshiki had made the necessary arrangements to have the Azami administration accept the rule.
When the shokugeki of Soma and Eizan was made known, there were also calls to have Kabutoyama’s expulsion be rescind.

 

Today is the first round of Central’s survivor hunt. There are around 100 RS and seminars yet to be dismantled while there are less than 30 Central members. So the shokugeki would be conducted in rounds. Since members of Central are handpicked by Azami, their numbers are still few, though Yoshino thinks this will increase.
Many members of Central are known as E10 reserves, as they have potential similar to that of E10.

The seminar Marui belongs to and the Reginal Cuisine RS Megumi belongs to are not part of the first round.

Soma raises the idea of going to watch the Shokugeki.
They then decide to go in groups as the Shokugeki takes place at four locations.

Soma goes to Erina’s room. She is still in shock/a daze.

Soma: “What, you’re still not well yet? Ever since that day Nakamura-sempai came over”

Erina: “I..I’m fine. I’m a good deal calmer” “Hisako! I will rest, so you go help the dorm”
Hisako: “Is..is it really okay? If there’s anything, please call my mobile at once”
“If you feel dizzy, please take this Chinese herbal medicine with boiled water”

After fussing around Erina a little, Hisako goes to get ready.
Erina talks to Soma: “..Yukihira-kun”
Soma:?
Erina: “Don’t you feel curious? About what Nakiri Azami..my father said that day”
Soma: “Oh..I was surprised. To think that Nakiri and my dad knew each other
Well, let me hear the story eventually”
Erina is exasperated by Soma’s usual careless laugh.
Erina: “E..eventually? Are you really not curious?
My father said that!? That this revolution was…it started from a connection between him and your father Saiba Jouichirou”

Erina: “Really…this situation is full of things I don’t know
It feels like the foundation I had up to now..is crumbling”

Soma: “Mm, well I understand that something happened way in the past
but my actions won’t be affected by hearing an old story like that
I don’t agree with what’s happening ‘now’. That’s all
Therefore I’m taking action”

Hisako: “Sorry for making you wait, Yukihira
Soma: “Bye Nakiri. Take care for now”

The recon teams have been decided.
A: Isami, Yoshino, Fumio
B: Marui, Ibusaki, Sakaki
C: Hisako, Sato, Aoki
D: Soma, Takumi, Megumi

The teams head out to the respective halls.
At D hall, the challenger is already full of enthusiasm.
Against the challenger is 4th seat, Akanegakubo Momo
Momo: “Let’s go, Butchy
Help me with my cooking”

Btw, I do recall someone here said the poll for this series was low. Yeah...this week beats One Piece. In short, who's laughing now as Tsukada may say. Don't worry, editor can still change. I feel like the effect isn't that bad anymore imo. Unless the next chapter, which I haven't look at, says otherwise. Either way, for those who worries for the series future (note: not quality talking, so save it elsewhere), worry no more.

Good chapter overall with a nice planing by Ishiki and PSD getting ready for battle, also nice moment with Soma & Erina there not romantic like some hope for but nonetheless a good one its kind of Ok XD.

But here's the difference (at least in this thread): NO ONE would be furious about Souma/Megumi happening simply b/c Megumi is a nicely developed character that actually has created a relationship with Souma. I love Megumi. She's actually growing throughout the manga. I could never say anything positive about Hinata tbh.

Yeah I mean It's SO obvous with Soma and Erina and Even Tsukuda-sensi is constantly responding to comments about their relationship on twitter that he hopes to be able to reach that stage with them eventually. However, Soma has the most development with Megumi so it is extremely fair to say that if Soma and Megumi happen as a safety net or something along those lines' I'd still be happy. Of course though, a lot of shippers are idiotic that is why shipping wars start in the first place

It did!!! Its #1 !?    . Well its normal that was the highlight and was bound to happen sooner or later, I'm just glad Erina didn't go all lovey dovey from the start but acted and is still confused her reaction was priceless .
