I like NaruSaku, so when I see Kishimoto heading towards NaruHina yes I am going to be negative.

My posts aren't meant to intentionally upset the others here, but from my perspective its a bit boggling to see so many of you turn your head against this chapter.

I'll say this. Kishimoto may use Sakura's panel to bring her to a realization, but if she just ignores whats going on between Naruto and Hinata than it doesn't look good.

We don't need to see the inner thoughts of Sakura and having realization from what happened right now. Her realization won't occur in this arc, we all know that.

Sakura didn't ignore Naruto and Hinata in this chapter. The existence of her panel in the middle of this shows that and which was meant to represent us her reaction from what's happening. It's typical from a writer to put the reaction of a character who has a role in romance department and shown previous facts with the character that he/she has shared with. Means that Kishi made this panel to pointing at Sakura for a reason. If he didn't care, he wouldn't thought of creating this panel from the first place.

But this chapter wasn't just from Hinata's side. Naruto initiated the hand holding, before that he squeezed her hand which was on his face, thanked her for being there for him, and thought of Neji's last words "your life is not your own" when staring openly at Hinata. 615 wasn't one-sided, and that's the issue. I don't know if he likes her now or what, but his responses to her clearly romantic movements are positive and can be seen as encouraging. You'd think he'd understand that. Naruto isn't completely oblivious after all.

Make no mistake if he does go this route it is terrible development. Kishimoto would have to slide Naruto's feelings under the rug and continue what he's been doing, which is sticking Sakura to the background.

I think you're misjudging Neji's words, read what kurama said, everyone is there for Naruto, this war is about him, he thanked her and hold her hand then start transfering chakra so what?

Lol thank you hinata so it's romantic now? he's in love with her? it's not a sign of naruto's romantic love towards hinata, he didnt blushed, he didnt looked at her face, neither hinata blushed she commented about his hand but didnt blushed.

It's a scene that has a continuition on 616.

AzureWaters, let me save you some trouble. Don't be realistic about NaruSaku/NaruHina here. People will say you're being negative and annoying and that you aren't a "real" NaruSaku fan. It's best to go to a forum that isn't completely biased and state your feelings there because they will not be accepted here.

Now you just being a child again and for no reason you went on attack mode against the fandom.

I stated, it's understandable that you have some doubt about NS, but the stuff between Naruto and Hinata has not being cemented yet, why will you have the need to keep trying to destroy every possible light a NS fan want to create for themselves?
What is the point in wanting to be Negative all the time? Look on Benzaiten and Dark Amy chan two random user, they say that they are very disappointed with our behavior, we call SS denial because they still believe that the pairing might happen, what makes us superior to them when our pairing has even more reason to be cannon?

Why not try to take NH as a serious treat but at the same time believe that our pairing with succeed, why we most be negative all the time or call the positive fans biased when every fandom is biased to some point.

Hey guys, I'm new here and I just wanted to share my thoughts on the chapter.

First off, I'm actually quite impressed with the chapter. It shows, that despite Naruto now being one of the baddest Mo Fo's around and easily one of the strongest members of the ninja alliance (along with Killer Bee and the Kage), he is still human. That his friend dying right in front of him will still really affected him. I know that Kakashi died in the Pain Arc, but, IMO, this was a little different. Kakashi died when Naruto wasn't there and died protecting the village. While it obviously affected Naruto alot, he was able to look past it and focus on the task at hand, greatly showing his maturity.

Neji dying was different.

Neji died protecting Naruto, basically right on top of him. This was the one thing Naruto wanted to avoid. He didn't want people to die for him and especially his friends. He even said to Obito that he wouldn't let any of his friends get hurt. Then what happens? He gets knackered from a rasenshuriken, and Neji takes the blow for him.

If that doesn't put a blow in your moral, I don't know what will.

Then Obito basically calls Naruto out and says "look mate, I'm gonna kill everyone you love and cherish and you can't do kitten about it. Then you're gonna be on your own."

Probably Naruto's biggest fear, being alone. Just like his childhood.

Hinata, then steps up a gear and slaps Naruto around the face!

This, IMO, is a massive step up for Hinata. All this time, throughout the whole manga, it has been Naruto encouraging Hinata, directly or indirectly. Now, with Naruto mentally crumbling, Hinata brings him back. Naruto is soooo important for this war. He is one of the only people strong enough to beat Madara and Obito. Knowing this, Hinata basically tells him to get his head out of his *** and look at the sacrifice Neji made for him. Foxy then chips in and tells him to man the **** up and reminds him of everyone who has sacrificed for him and believed in him.

This brings Naruto back from the brink.

I feel that this has basically brought Hinata full circle and has actually made her character into somone (in the future) we can enjoy. When she is introduced in the Chunin exam Arc, she is described as "a weirdo who looks away when I look at her". She was a character who was made to love Naruto and be inspired by him. She used to stutter and could never really speak to Naruto. She was timid and shy.

Look at her now!
She stares directly at Naruto, inspires HIM and tells HIM to stand be her! She wants him to stand be her, not the other way around. She has finally developed into a full on Shinobi who we can admire. I admit that thinking that way about Naruto's hand was abit out of place, but it serves to remind us that underneath her new self, she still has that sore value of loving Naruto and looking up to him.

I now think that Hinata's development has come to an end, and while we will still see her in terms of the romance part of the manga, she no longer needs to change. She was able to prove in the Pain Arc that she is willing to protect her loved ones, in the war that she is able to fight, and now that she can inspire and, for lack of a better example, grow wings and fly without Naruto.

It is for this reason that I think that Hinata and Naruto are going to split next chapter and Hinata is going to fight Madara, probably with Rock Lee, whilst Naruto is going to fight Obito, most likely with Sakura. And Ino_Shika_Cho are going to hold the Jubi down with the alliance

Not saying he confessed this chapter, but his response to her is receptive. Its not the way he should be acting if he's planning on rejecting her.

And he was looking at her face the entire time. =/ Even when he stands up with her, he turns his face to look at her while saying thank you. In this context, with Neji dead-blushing would be inappropriate. There's no giddy feelings going on. Even Hinata just states that she feels safe when he's holding her hand, because their facing Juubi.

the next two chapters will be the last two chapters of volume 64, I believe these two following chapters will be the conclusion of the Hyuuga Arc and in particular about Hinata's development. From 618 there'll be a new arc corcening other rookies.... At least still hope it'll be so.

Well I think differently. This arc is meant to shine all side characters because Kishi is ending their characters with a bang (like it or not). I must admit, I was one of the few that wanted an idea that other characters should shine since the beginning, but I grew, I realized it's best to keep characters who are relevent to the story intact alas main characters and few side ones (Shikamaru). This arc lasted too long because of all characters, time like that I wish the chapter lasts 30 pages each week. Well I drift off a little so let me get to the point. The point is that if Kishi wants to rush this battle now, he can end it in two chapters. If not, next chapter is supposedly the answer to Obito from Naruto. Then, we still have Shikaku's final plan. We still have other characters to shine. If anything, these two chapters can be setup for the final plan to engage. Then the next volume, well there's two options: go back to Sasuke or stay and finish the fight. I hope it's the latter because adding Sasuke will make everything complicated and we still a breather moment. Naruto will be exhausted to fight Sasuke, so yeah, there will be a break. Best guess is Obito dies here and Madara may retreat for now. Time will tell.

As for colored pages, I'm not worried. It's the color spread that somewhat counts more. However, it could be anything. We had a Team 7 color spread in the middle of war when all of them aren't there and what not. It could be random, it could be the alliance spread, it could be Naruto and Obito side by side, it could be anything. I don't know where the idea of Naruto and Hinata doing all lovey dovey stuff. Maybe it could be happen, but don't think to be the only option. Again, the color spread can be anything. Let's just wait and see.

And he looked at neji ( on the panel you bought) then he was talking with the kyuubi then he come back.

About the bolded part tell me how Itachi died for Naruto i would love to hear that, and Inoichi and Shikaku.

You're right about it sounding quite far-fetched.
I was just remembering Shikaku's words about taijutsu fighters should go against Madara and Lee is probably one the best Taijutsu fighters on the field, especially since Guy is getting knackered. If Lee takes his weights off as well... i mean he would be pretty darn good. I just have this feeling that he might use the gates as well. i mean, Neji just died and he was his rival and basically best friend! And Hinata is pretty darn good at taijutsu because of her eyes. And we did have all that in the last chapter of "The Hyuga are Konoha's strongest!" Even the lightning guy agreed. The only reason I don't think Hinata's dad will go up to the Juubi is because Hinata is now powered by Naruto's chakra.

I think InoShikaCho will happen as the Juubi just fell down and is going a bit crazy. They won't hold it down for long. Just a few seconds so Naruto, Hinata, Lee and Sakura can get up there.

Oh and the reason I think Sakura and Naruto is again because of Shikaku's speech about co-ordinating with the medical team. And the fact she is near Kakashi just makes me feel like he'll be the one to tell Naruto to do so.

I don't care to be honest. I wanted Hinata to be something more than just a Naruto tumor, but she disappointed me for the last time. I gave her chances to grow up or to prove to me she is not a fan-girl and she failed every time.

Yes, I call her a tumor. A tumor that sucks the lifeforce from other characters to grow. No, I don't care if it is bashing. No, I don't care what reasoning someone gives me about Hinata or whatever, she disappointed me. This whole chapter disappointed me. You can disagree with me, but at least respect my view.

No, it has nothing to do with "NH is canonz" stuff. Yes, I feel this chapter was forced and badly written. No, I don't care what the NH fans say or feel about their pairing choice. If NH becomes canon it will not be because of good development, but rather rushed "convenient" plot devices that ruined the entire manga and it's continuity.

The whole point for Hinata's growth is for her to do something NOT Naruto related. Something she does DIFFERENTLY than what she normally does. Yeah she was more assertive, but it is a moment that didn't last and immediately she went back to her old self. No change. If it was Sakura that did it, I would say it was change and improvement of her character since as of now it is something different than she normally would do.

As always, just what I'd expect from you James, I always enjoy reading your post and I've never disagreed with anything you've said so far.

There was a time when I was being Pathetic in my believe in NS, that was at the time of the RTN advertisements.
Every single fan that try to make a positive remark of how positive the movie could be for the NS fandom, I was merely going against them until Slex call me out of my negative behavior.

Look how that movie for our fandom, what was the point of most of us being negative?

It's annoying when someone tries to challenge every positive opinion a fan haves, just like yourself trying to challenge every opinion someone might have about Sakura fighting role in the future. Leave that to an anti Sakura or NS fans, I don't sense those behaviors in other fandom only here.

I kinda feel bad for the people who expect something amazing from Sakura in this fight...

I kind of am. I'm not expecting her to go barking up to Obito's doberman like a chihuahua but I'm expecting something. Part of the reason is I think we've seen this from Kishi several times. This reminds me a lot of the Pain battle. Hinata gets her one glorious moment and then Sakura takes the show at the end. Except this time, rather than a hug, I would prefer if she....I don't know....accomplished something rather than realizing "Wow, Naruto is awesome."

My biggest pet peeve atm is not necessarily the whole NH bit (although it makes no sense at all) but mainly how Sakura gets sidelined. I want to see her DO SOMETHING Gad Dangit.
