I don't know about you, guys, but I'll be really-really disappointed if Kishimoto continues using the heroine as a damsel-in-distress. I want some quality Sakura action to compensate all the emotional kitten storm. IMO, even NS will lose its shine if Sakura's development goes down the drain. What's so fantastic about a hero getting his trophy girl? That's second-rate romance.

 

I'm not Kishimoto, but my gender and a degree in psychology allow me to assume what it will be probably like for Sakura (let's forget about mangaka's voodoo treatment of characters) after the war if she remains a lumber occasionally saved by Naruto or Kakashi. It screams "ruined self-esteem". And such level or, better to say, lack of self-esteem actually hinders healthy relationships with men, especially if the man turns out to be the walking reminder of the other's inadequacy.

I can't wait for the hokages to return because Hashirama senju is there which kinda connects to Chatte's theory. OMG I'll scream if it happened. I have 3% hope for Sakura to fight.

I can't wait for all to be in place because it seems like Kishi is stalling until all are there by dragging out with something that can be done in 10 pages. Though I do like the expressions in here, so I can't hate it. Anyway, time is coming close.

What do you guys think the actual setting for NS will be? I mean when Sakura actually decides it's time to move past Sasuke and truely understands what she feels towards Naruto. More and more I'm starting to think the 2011 OVA was really a major spoiler on how things are going to happen. This is just my personal opinion, of course, but I don't think the 2011 OVA is going to be too far off when all is said and done.

 

Personally, I'd prefer something like that over a kissing scene or something like that. It'd have a deeper impact than a kiss would in my opinion. However, I'd be more than happy if Sakura actually did kiss Naruto, or vise-versa.

 

But what's going to push her to do this? Will it be Sasuke who actually pushes her to the last straw? Or will Naruto confess when going to fight Sasuke, knowing there's a big chance he may not come back?

For me, I predict 'Sasuke will be the same douche and say I love you to Kaguya and make babies'. This is more like a prediction  .

I'm really worried about how much Sakura's inadequacy in this fight is being highlighted. She's obviously there for a reason and so is Kakashi. But I just don't see how Sakura can help in this fight. Kaguya is on inhuman levels and Sakura couldn't even do that much against Madara. It's better suited as Naruto/Sasuke vs. Kaguya rather than Sakura and Kakashi helping and getting killed.

 

I want to believe she'll have impressive involvement, but I'm just not seeing it. I'm worried that the only reason Sakura and Kakashi are even around is to give more backing for the T7 bond when Sasuke cares again (having flashbacks of them later or something like that) or if, in Sakura's case, it's just to fully resolve the love triangle. We've been getting so many ASS moments and how Naruto was shown so 'great' in comparison to Sasuke, it really does make you wonder if the only purpose is Sakura getting over Sasuke and accepting Naruto fully.

 

I sincerely hope Sakura's not here for the love triangle resolution or if it won't be the only reason. Sakura has a lot of potential and should have a lot more to her than her relationships with Sasuke and Naruto. She doesn't always have to be reflecting on who she likes or who to chose. She should be able to catch up to Naruto and Sasuke, but ... Kishi.

 

I have no idea what Kishimoto's planning ...

I think sakura will perform heroic sacrifice.
Kishi touch the "I feel useless" conflict in this arc, maybe he will even resolve it.
I don't think sakura can catch up with them, I always say that narusasu ceiling is higher than sakura and if not for narusasu fight is the last battle of this manga I will say that naruto > sasuke.

I'm not worry about sakura shining moment, since this's the guy who give sakura vs sasori fight.

Seriously... Team 7 is the most dysfunctional team ever.

 

Even when they WERE on good terms in Part 1, their relationship was still so messed up. Seriously, onesided pairings everywhere, two boys fighting every minute, Sakura just being there to either fangirl or back up..

 

The drama and tears that this team gives birth to is gonna make my buns explode one day.

If that's solely the reason why Sakura is there I'd probably stop shipping NS. If that's the best Kishi can do with this character then the little respect I have for him will be all gone.

Did you guys knew about SS's new argument about this week's chapter?

Apparently, Sasuke was protecting Sakura and Kakashi by sommuning the hawk and directing between Sakura/Kakashi and Kaguya. And so Naruto's words were meant to mean Sasuke's body moved on its own once again and he saved them without wanting to admit it.

I personnaly think it's crap, it's once again overthinking.

Just some days ago, I read somewhere that Sasuke not protecting Sakura was a good thing for SS, I don't even remember what was the reason of this, I think it was something along the lines of his attitude towards her being brought up later. Anyway, what shows the desperation is the fact that it was from the very same person as the one who posted ths argument of Sasuke protecting her in this chapter. So shouldn't SS fans get fixed on what they think about Sasuke: do they want him to save her or not?

Plus if this explantion was right, Sasuke wouldn't have a cover face on the next page, like he was guilty or anything. And the event wouldn't be followed by Sakura thinking Sasuke's right, that she's useless in this situation but still thanking Naruto.

And also, Naruto saying "not me" shows that Sasuke was able to grab Sakura and Kakashi but Naruto's mad because he took him instead of them. It's just once again, Kishi not paying attention to the position and this kind of little detail, I think.

I'm somewhat with @luffy. If Kishi can't give Sakura respect, I won't be back until the last chapter, just to see the ending.

 

However, I hold on to hope, that she will get a real shining moment, cause I wanna be optimistic.

EXACTLY! But...it I'd be a little better he went about the same path without harming Sakura chan. But all this set up seems important. But I'm with you on this one. HELL! On one hand people say Kaguya is stronger than both Naruto and Sasuke combined and then one say Sakura wants to catch up with her teammates. How can she catch up to someone who is even stronger than the ones she looks up to? She is stronger in her own unique way. The strongest female and medic ninja in whole of Leaf. She can help ofcourse, but when the Kages arrive. Single mistake now can result in the death of all four of them and apparently the world. That is why they need to hold off Kaguya in the best possible way until Kages arrive.

that's why Kishi should have made Sakura-chan undergo some serious training like Naruto and Sasuke so she could have a contribution to this fight . But Kishi probably had it planned all along to not have her make any contribution to the fight so that's why he gave us the Sakura-chan vs Sasori fight her only major fight in Part 2 .

But it's so odd to just let them be there without doing nothing. Maybe they will do something but on another level, like more concerning the IT than the actual fight with Kaguya. 

And about Sakura, she did have a shining moment in chapter 632, but the problem is that everytime she has a shining moment it lasts only one chapter and it's over. And the best example is indeed 632, we were all excited to see her kick ass in this chapter and at the end, she even says she has catch up with Naruto and Sasuke, but at the very beginning of the following chapter she's back at the background and Naruto and Sasuke are back to be the main focus, then there is chapter 634 in which she summoned Katsuyu with the Naruto and Sasuke, we could think there will be somthing in store for her, but she's just healing with Katsuyu (well, with Katsuyu, what did I expect? You could say). But still, a lot of missed oppotunities for Sakura.

Sakura can concentrate on stuff not relating to Kaguya but something helpful in defeating her meaning supporting the ones fighting Kaguya. Fighting off Kaguya with Naruto and Sasuke is not a feasible solution. Why would Kaguya still deal with Naruto and Sasuke when she can wipe out Sakura in an instant and then revert back to Naruto and Sasuke? I am not at all saying she is useless but fighting off Kaguya with Naruto and Sasuke is certainly not a good option. They themselves are having a hard time fending of Kaguya. Kakashi is a genius and an incredible analyst whereas Sakura has so much raw strength and her healing abilities are beyond comapre which and all these factors are necessary for defeating Kaguya. All the raw power Naruto and Sasuke have is not enough alone. I say wait until the Kages arrive. Sakura and Kakashi are not there for nothing.

If they can't do anything, then Kishi should not have had them in the susanoo shield. He has only been ruining Sakura's character and if there is no good reason, then I'm next to done. I try to hope and I will continue, until the Kaguya fight is over. But, if Sakura doesn't play a role, I will not be back for a while.

 

I've been cutting him slack, but the only time he makes Sakura somewhat shine, is when it comes to healing. However, her combat skills always make her look weak or unimportant. When she first got her seal, she got saved, then was reduced to healing. After she healed Naruto, Kishi made her freeze or whatever at stabbing Obito's eye, which only garnered haters. She charged Madara, then needed rescuing. So far Sakura has only gotten saved, when it comes to combat. Do you see why people are fed up with his portrayal of Sakura? He always has Naruto, Sasuke, and now even Kakashi saving her, while she's the apprentice of a legendary sannin and the strongest kunoichi atm( Kaguya does not count.), but so far that has meant nothing, cause she's still made out to be a damsel in distress, like part one.

 

If Kishi does not give her serious growth in her fighting department, then I'm sorry, but he fails. It can not be that hard to show some respect and dedication to the heroine of the story. NO. Make up all the excuses you want Kishi, but that's just Bullsh*t. His handling of Sakura has hand ups and downs, but when it goes down, it goes way down. While, when it goes up, it's easy  to get overlooked.

 

Like I said, I'll be patient for now, but if this Sakura bashing continues for the next five chapters, like the previous ones, I'm done for a long time.

No amount of training is going to help her attain what Naruto and Sasuke have become (Personally, I'd have a difficult time believing that she could measure up to the standards that characters like Asuma and Guy live by, much less anything that's been shown from most of the characters in Part 2.). They're far beyond anything that's within comprehension of the common folk that she shares more qualities with than the self-proclaimed deities and otherworldly abilities that make up the standard for the manga at this time. Sakura's limelight isn't in the here and now like it is for her teammates. When she makes an impression, Kishi has a habit of making it very noticeable (and very fleeting). Sasori might very well be the the first and only time we ever see her being taken out of her comfort zone to take up the fight that her compatriots would normally handle. But Sakura is defined by so much more than any record book of killings and lengthy fights against a souped up villain. Things which are constantly the topic of discussions in many threads.

 

If she does get her chance to go fisticuffs with Kaguya like so many people are wishing for then I want there to be something gained from it besides praise or gratification for the bone given. See what the limitations of her Byakugou and super strength are. Does her regeneration mean healing abilities on the same level as Kimimaro or Madara? Can her strength be tanked at the level that Kaguya happens to perch herself on? Is there more to her fighting style than just rushing forward and buffeting her enemies with her fist (something that's more complex, more skill-oriented like the martial arts that Lee and Guy use)?  I would enjoy tidbits like that which give some long-term information about Sakura's limits as a shinobi before the almost inevitable return to Naruto and Sasuke shortly afterwards.
