I honestly wished Azami had never been introduced. Everything becomes so dramatic ever since he showed up. Now he dismissed three seats. Like how?

Indeed!!! To much drama and nonsensical politics for a cooking manga *sigh* . Seriously WTF!? Its said that the E10 have the greatest authority in Tootsuki even above the Director or President it makes no sense  . 

 

Me too for now I guess, but like I said before that I'll wait and see how this few chapters progress *sigh*.

Oh I have faith. Like I said the revelation is most likely just to cause her to drop her elitist attitude towards Soma. It won't be the cause of her to fall in love with him At least I hope but judging by her reaction probably not. but it will casue her to stop being so prickly with him and get to know him better. Not the ideal scenario I know but truth be told progress with Erina not being so b****y to Soma has been too slow I mean even after letting her stay at the dorm she still wouldn't try his dishes so this would be a good start for her to actually open up to him

Yeah I get what you mean but it also depends from what point of view you're looking at it you know!? I mean things with Erina and Soma relationship was going fine as it was slow for sure but fine, she was starting to lose that kitteny attitude toward Soma little by little, since the time she arrived and before she find out that he's Saiba's son she was intrigued by his personality nonetheless as evident by this last chapters. But doing it like this one might consider it that she drops that attitude fast not bc of Soma on his own merits but just bc he's her idol's son so that can be a downside if you're looking it from that pov  . 

 

But like I said previously I'm not gonna jump the gun and assume things right away, I'm gonna wait and see how things will go from here on for them. This chapter skipped their interaction and momentum it went straight to Azami and the E10 issue and that was disappointing, such a shame and wasted potential I at least hope he makes a callback on that one .

Oh yeah I know about that definitely but you see until she found out I don't think she would open up to him like actually trying his cooking or you know have proper conversations with him without turning her nose down on him. Like no matter how much she's improved on her attitude on Soma the fundamental problem isn't actually fixed so yeah while I feel that her dropping her haughtiness only because Soma is her idol's son is kind of shallow, I feel that  a real friendship can develop between them now if only for very shallow reason but that's where things will develop and she will fall for Soma for real   

So long as Erina doesn't frequently ask Soma Questions about Jouichiro as the only means of talking to him and goes all dere dere instantly from here on out. it won't be Shallow and from what I can tell she'll probably be racked with guilt and try to be nicer to him. and from there things would play out like Naruto and Sakura  Yeah I know it'd be like Sakura being nicer to Naruto just because he's  Minnato's son but the point still stands the reasons for Erina being more open to Soma could be shallow but what's most important is that she falls for Soma or develops a friendship with him because of who he is.

Odd chapter to say the least, on one side I enjoyed seeing Erina's reaction, and i'm interested to see what Azami was talking about, but I really don't like the direction the manga is going in, it makes no sense the way those three were dismissed from the elite ten. Which again puts a giant question mark over the elite ten members voting for this new egime in the first place, thy are essentially handing over all the power they had to the head master, they are nothing more tan puppets now, if they don't agree with the new order they will be dismissed from their seat.

 

Going back to the reveal, while it was amusing and Azami's words did intrigue me, I'm not happy the reveal happened the way it did, it pretty much put a massive question mark over Erina and Souma's relationship now, no matter how they write it now, the question will remain if Erina's behaviour towards Souma is influenced by him being Jouchirou's son or not, it's a dumb idiotic move.

 

Really hate the direction this manga is taking, it's too similar to other battle manga's from the Weekly Jump, which makes you question if the story even belongs to the mangaka's anymore or if it's another manga being controlled by the editors who want to leave their stamp on the work. I hope I'm wrong, but if the manga continues the direction it's going in, it will lose allot of it's appeal, I can see myself dropping i, or just reading the chapters and not really caring for the content, like I've been doing with Bleach for years.

Like I said though if Erina INSTANTLY falls in love with Soma then I call sell out and kitten writing but If she is at least more motivated to know Soma as a Person and not using him as a means to know more about Jouichiro than at least we know it's not a purely shallow way to develop their relationship. other than that some of the plot points I agree with cause well they look out of place and it is clashing with the system and rules built in the manga. Like how can a director remove members from a council so powerful they pretty much make every decision in the school including who gets to be director?

Well whether she would open up to him or not without this is debatable but imo with the way things where going and her curiosity increasing about him bc he's the center of all things (as she said) I think she would, it would be slow for sure but gradual 

 

The rest I agree we remain to see how things will progress from here on so I can only hope its for the better as you say, I at least hope it would spice up their rivalry among other things that would be perfect XD. 

 

P.S. I find it ridiculous that the reason Azami is doing all this and turned to be this kitten and monster toward his own daughter is all bc of his dear Saiba Senpa .

I wonder if the whole reason Azami is doing what he is believes is getting revenge on behalf of Jouchirou? Jouchirou never finished his last year at the school, and Azami seems to be more in love with him than a obsessive lover so it wouldn't be a far stretch to think that the Jouchirou clashed with the system and was dismissed from school exploiting the old system. Azami blaming the school, the system and the director set out to destroy the system and set in a procedure that doesn't allow such 'whatever the reason was' to happen again.

 

Ofcourse this brings up the possibility that he seduced the  directors daughter, got her pregnant to tie her down, and planned to use his child to break the system in the first place..in which case no matter the outcome his actions are unforgivable....ofcourse this being Manga from the same publisher that bought us the person responsible for Naruto's parents death and thousands of ninja's being referred to as an awesome guy so Azami's actions are minor in comparison.

I was pretty entertained. The reaction is priceless. The aftermath is still in the air, so I'm still worried, like should I expect:

-Soma-kun
-Soma-sama
-"I won't let the world end because I love Soma-kun!"
-"Erina can sense Soma-sama is near!"

But I guess I got to wait. The politic part is expected, especially after what we went, so it didn't surprise but the third seat getting boot does make me wonder if we're going to get him to do anything. It can't be always elite 10 vs the heroes, so why not former ones. Got to do something different, especially now we have recruiting time, which can be interesting. So I look forward to it. Still waiting on that leaked tweet but this is the beginning, so yeah.

Why is Azami so surprised about Soma being in the same year as Erina? True, Soma is apparently a few months younger than Erina, but both still graduated from middle school at the same time. He prob realized that Sazaemon is trying to set Soma and Erina up? Or maybe he knows something about his Saiba-senpai which we didn't. Anyways, I never thought that Azami would be so obsesssed with Jouichirou... It's more than creepy, lol.

I still don't understand how the hell he can just fire three students from the Elite 10. That doesn't make any sense from a logistical standpoint...

Azami/Joichiro is the Sasuke/Naruto of that generation so basically Soma and Erina is the non-yaoi romance; therefore, it's good to go. Note: I really don't know if WSJ truly doesn't want yaoi but this is pretty much the calling card here.
