Er he knows what he is and doing. It's not really hard. It's not like Kamui telling Kagura to kill Gintoki because he will kill his father.

people always give these types of people a pass. No matter how big the crime, betrayal, or massacre: their nonchalant and mysterious absence trumps over everything...

i know kamui has a reason for what he's doing, but he did choose the wrong way by submitting to his own bloodlust, which kagura is trying to save him from.

 

excusing his crimes ( like killing his subordinate/ hyaka ladies/ involvement in harusame/ involvement in shogun's assasination/ shooting soyo-hime ) just coz he had a sad past, making it seems like his actions are ok..  it's just not right to me, no matter how justified kamui think he is   ( i'm talking about a certain tumblr blog, not you touken4life3g )

the irony of this coming from a kamui fan (me)  i know the difference between fic and canon though.. of course, i don't mean to say he's as bad as housen, at the very least kamui left yoshiwara alone coz he's not interested in the city, and became its ruler solely to prevent anyone from getting close to his marked prey gintoki.

He didn't completely change but he's in a process and understandable at that. While the stuff he did was cruel, at least he knows about it and see maybe there's another way of handling things. The title he got, Shogun, is much complicated than he thinks. So this gives me a welcome development.

Yes, compare to Naruto, it's unbelievable because he changes people who has been doing evil deeds for over a decade as well as managed to be ok with everyone that has killed people for their own gain. Orochimaru was just too much. That was extremely not needed. It made it worse that Jiraiya accepted that it was a failure and he won't go back, only to be wrong and it was done in a extremely simple manner. That's just not real...
