So out of curiousity, what do you guys think of SaiIno? Do you find it as bad as Nh or SS?
Pretty bad. Ino pretty much used the poor guy because he was a Sasuke look-a-like. There wasn't a decent woman in Naruto it seems, outside of Kushina and Tsunade.

I just don't think Sai should have been with anyone. He was more asexual than Sasuke and had spent most of his life under Danzo's control. I just can't see him in a romance, based on what the manga showed, and since Kishimoto showed no development for SaiXIno's relationship, it's just as out of nowhere as ChoujiXKarui.
I think it's pretty boring as a pairing. I feel pretty bad for Sai. It's pretty clear Ino just thinks of him as a Sasuke stand-in.
Yes, boring is a good word for it. It's not scandalous or sensational. And it only makes Ino and Sai look bad. Nothing about it makes sense.
I think Kishimoto just decided to throw the whole story upside down in the end, and make all pairings be nothing that anyone expected. And then he ruined ShikaTema just so that we wouldn't expect that either.

This is I believe his way of protesting against the ending. His bosses and everyone around him wanted a new generation to keep the money flowing therefore they needed to pair everyone up in order to create the next gen, therefore we got this trash. And Kishi did as he was told but he also sabotaged it.
I mean when you look at how SP portrayed NH in The Last and how Kishi portrayed NH in the manga, the difference is instantly noticeable.
Now once again I mention this, even if that's true that doesn't excuse his actions.

Yeah, they're all just thrown together for the sake of popping out a bunch of kids. And in most cases, those kids aren't even interesting, just poor reductions of the original characters.

He ruined ShikaTema? How? That pairing had decent development and foreshadowing

In the beginning, I thought so too... Now Iam convinced that he couldn't just care less.

“A good novel tells us the truth about its hero; but a bad novel tells us the truth about its author.”

Agreed but I think that Kishimoto did a good job of having Sai stand out differently from Sasuke. He had different techniques, different backstory, and after the first reunion with Sasuke Sai had a much different personality than part 2 and even part 1 Sasuke. He was fanatically loyal to Naruto and Sakura and participated in social activities with the other ninja his age. Part 1 Sasuke at best would show a small act of kindness or teamwork during missions but would retreat from the other Konoha nine as soon as he could. Heck, I don't remember any part in the manga where Sasuke hung out with Naruto or Sakura. He was always either brooding or training.
Tbh, in part 1 part of me didn't blame him for minding his own business. In the manga he was always portrayed as the babysitter if anything of Naruto and Sakura. Whenever Kakashi was busy or could not accompany them Sasuke would step in and protect them and they seemed pretty useless in the beginning.
But Sai was shown to hang out with the entire gang voluntarily in both the anime and the manga, and even attempt to make jokes. Sasuke never tried one pun or otherwise. Had Ino gotten over Sasuke it might have seemed like a better pairing.

Well now he doesn't care that's for sure.

Yeah, they're definitely different people. And I actually really like what Sai contributed to the narrative. But, like everything else, the way Kishi presents Sai/Ino doesn't do anything to show how it formed as its own, unique relationship. All we see if Ino's IT dream where Sai and Sasuke fight over her. When that's the last image we have pairing the two together, we aren't left for much room for imagination.

Oh the early 90s before Naruto ever was even made we had this.
I mean we can all say what we want about Ash but lets face it he is not a scumbag like Naruto, Ash has saved the world more time than Naruto and lets face it does not use woman as a pissing contest with his rival I mean Ash has had a lot of rivals after all and not once did he ever fake loving someone just to laugh in his rivals face.
I mean did he try this with Gray Paul or Trip, no he didn't hell Ash went to save his Mum in the 3rd film.
Over all, I have to say that Ash is the better Hero than Naruto is, to me the NH fans can have this bad Naruto who is also a bad dad. But I would like to know what you think as well is Ash a better person than Naruto?

Also, when Ash "resets" with each new series, it's a COMPLETE reset, unlike Naruto with part two. Ash didn't just start over with Pikachu, only to keep facing off and magically winning against FAR stronger opponents than he had ever faced in any of the previous series', but starts off small again and builds up bit by bit as the series goes on, so his winning with newer/different Pokemon against other Trainers doesn't come off as total asspulls just because he's the MC, unlike Naruto. Not to mention that Ash still occasionally loses (even against Gym Leaders), actually learns his lessons from that battle, then comes back and wins in a rematch. You don't have him look like he's going to lose and then asspull a win...just because...(at least not that much anymore).
I bet adult Ash as a Pokemon Master is still the same guy.
He must've found the Fountain of Youth without telling anyone at some point. Or maybe getting blasted by Mew/Mewtwo in the first movie altered his body somehow or something that keeps him forever stuck at 10-11 years old or something, lol.
can you see naruto being a leader? or a commander of a squad? i sure as hell cant. as a power battery sure but not someone who's able to place the pieces and shouldering tough decisions during short periods of time...

We saw what happened when Naruto became leader (aka hokage)

That's something I brought up again and again in response to people who kept saying he should become Hokage right after the war - Naruto and Sasuke may have great power, but neither have shown to possess the intelligence, strategic/tactical mindset, nor emotional stability to handle the position, especially if there ever came another time of war.
In fact, just being a chunin sounds like too much for either of them outside of power, which the Chunin Exams in the series made sure to hammer into peoples' heads (not just about power, but about leadership and strategy and such) and why Shikamaru was the only one (from Konoha at least) at the time to advance due to his tactical mindset, despite being one of the "weakest" in terms of big, flashy moves or physical prowess. The only reason Naruto is a "successful" Hokage right now is because, from what we're actually shown, he's pretty much done nothing of such vital importance; just stamping paperwork, posing for cameras, and other menial mayoral duties. Anything more difficult is more than likely simply left on Shikamaru's lap to handle, so Shikamaru may as well be the actual Hokage.
