I never did like the idea of LoK, only because I loved the characters from Avatar and wanted a continuation of their journey. In general, I tend to not like sequels that don't involve the original cast enough. To this day, I still prefer the first Peter Pan movie, compared to the one where Wendy's daughter met him.

 

Is the love triangle in LoK still going on? I only saw most of the episodes from season 1 before giving up on taking it seriously. I remember the goofy brother liking Korra, Korra liking the more stoic one, stoic guy getting together with mechanic chick.( don't remember names.) Korra turned down the goofy brother and kissed stoic brother, but I was not sure if hey had gotten together. Can anyone fill me in on details?

 

The only thing I liked about LOK is that Korra is a strong and independent girl and is the main character, although she is pretty cocky and a bit of a jerk at times which I don't value too much in a character. the love triangle........... Well I stopped caring since it was getting out of hand IN STORY.

They can clean up the mess by revisiting the flashbacks. I refuse to believe this conflict destroyed the kataang family. 

 

I'm certainly hoping so. I'm keeping low expectations with LoK, but I'm still hoping that they'll address the conflict further in the next season.

 

Still I think they were aiming for a more realistic conflict. I mean it doesn't sound as bad as you guys make it seem. Favouritism happens all the time but my only problem is that Katara did nothing about it. I doubt this will be the case with NS though.

 

You're right. Truthfully it's not the conflict that bothers me as much as the lack of resolution, and I just find it very hard to believe that Katara with her personality would not have seen the problem and done something about it. I don't think she'd just let that go on and not say something. The whole thing needs more exposition because there are parts of it that don't fit; I feel like there has to be more to the story than what's been shown.

I can't stomach her personality, and I usually tend to love the main. I would rather have Asami as the lead, but it seems like the creators are hell bent on butchering her character too.

I haven't watched LOK but is Korra's personality that bad? I don't like sequels without original characters so which is why I didn't watch it.

She has this this teenage rebel trait that I find annoying and just plain boring. And it seems as though she doesn't learn from her mistakes, as evident of not listening to a damn word Tenzin said in ep 1 of S2. Basically, she was acting like a total kitten. 

 

I really hate thinking about LoK so ima shut up.

Both of Naruto and Sakura's moments in the beginning of the movie were OOC. The scene at the ramen shop made me embarassed on Naruto's behalf, but I don't think he's that immature and spoiled in canon.

 

While I get the point of those scenes, I didn't like either of them. But don't give Naruto a pass, he wasn't any better than Sakura.

 

edit, I know why you do it, it's because of the ss-ness isn't it? ;) still..

But Sakura and Naruto in RTN seem to go through these phases of rebellion in that age, the two are frustrated at that moment because Naruto having no parents around to support him and Sakura because she feels that no one understands her, that anger makes them seem OOC in my opinion...
