Aw, they're so cute. Kataang is one of the few pairings I still 'ship' even though the series is over. The other is Soul/Maka from Soul Eater. I don't care that it's not officially canon -- they're still perfect.

 

I've never gotten into Bleach or Fairy Tale so I don't have much opinion on pairings in either of those.

It's not confusing, it's confusing when people wants to prove she loves Naruto using that scene, it wasnt a proper confession and the point was never about she loving Naruto or not.
It was just Sakura and her decision of dropping her feelings for Sasuke in favour of Naruto, but Naruto rejected it because she loved Sasuke.
It didnt felt she was lying because she indeed lied she never confronted her feelings for Sasuke and to make matters worse her whole decision was centered on Naruto not her feelings which is why it was a lie.
How could she drop her feelings for Sasuke when just now she noticed he doesnt care about her and everyone else?
Up to that point even knowing that Sasuke joined akatsuki she wanted to believe that he was still the same.

 
Yes indeed, but those were platonic mostly resolving around Naruto's goals, and jokes moment from Naruto that leads to nowhere, the confession proves that she never took Naruto "seriously" in terms of wanting to be a relationship with him, her reaction towards Sai telling her about Naruto's feelings is pretty much telling.
The part where she finds out about Hinata's feelings, it tells nothing and those aren't similar moment, her face doesnt tell much and doenst lead to any conclusion it literally can be anything even empathy or the fact she was willing to sacrifice her life for Naruto because she loves him, or can even be the fact that she loves a cool guy like Naruto and she loves Sasuke who doesnt care about her.
 
In all respect, i think it's really stupid this whole "Sakura realizing feelings" i mean there were too many moments where it could happen and just now? during Naruto and Sasuke fight?
It sounds like bs to me, sincerely, i know that NS development is being damaged recently and the whole romance subplot is losing appeal.
Can't she just fall in love with Naruto later after he tells her what she thinks about her and make her stop wanting to wanting to be equal towards him and acknowledge that she's a great shinobi.

It's just ridiculous to me that Sakura suddenly fall in love with Naruto when he literally did nothing to her in terms of winning her over?
I mean he didnt give a single compliment to her.

If wasnt Sai and Minato, i would say that Naruto friendzone Hinata and Sakura.

but she did get to know him better his deepest secrets and why he is how he is and all that good kitten . He doesn't have to compliment her to win her over , his personality and the way he protects her and is always by her side and how loyal he is, is what probably could lead her to fall him he doesn't have to do anything you know what I mean ?

I didn't mind that the creators wanted to show that things weren't perfect, but they shouldn't have introduced the conflict they did if they weren't going to give it a proper resolution. They left so much hanging there. It was disappointing.

Agreed. It felt rushed. I mean they could rebound in the new season, but in this case, each season has a buildup and moral in them, I guess you can't really count on them. So yeah. Shame.

Do you think my following rant could explain the reason of Kishi’s interview about Sakura’s feelings and the reason why this confession was still false? So here is my thought about it.

 

I was wondering, since Pepsi is often bringing this interview on the matter, could it be possible that Sakura’s confession was false back then, not meaning that she didn’t love Naruto, but that she didn’t think it when she was saying  “I love you” to Naruto. Now, saying that she didn’t thought it at the time she was saying it would be considered as lying, while Kishimoto clearly stated “I felt like depicting an honest girl”. But what if he had said such a thing because he knows Sakura loves Naruto, but when she said it herself at the Iron Land, she was not yet conscious about it. Thus explaining why Kishimoto said in the same interview “Naruto is close but as expect… It’s Sasuke.”

 

So all in all, my thought is that Sakura was honest by saying she loves Naruto but not conscious of being honest, thus making a false confession on her part, since she didn’t believed what she said, but it doesn’t degrades her feelings for Naruto, it doesn’t mean she doesn’t love him. It just means she doesn’t know yet that her confession was true. So I think that in his interview, Kishi’s word weren’t directed towards the story plot itself when he said he was depicting an honest girl, but towards the feelings of this girl. Don’t know if this statement is clear enough, it’s kinda confusing to write it.

 

But one thing is sure, it’s that this confession was not meant to just being played and then, not being brought up later on. There was a purpose to this love confession. If he wanted it, the author could have not do this. The confession was not necessary, to the plot, Sakura could have just said to Naruto that she wanted him to go back to the village, but she choose to say that she loved Naruto and not Sasuke anymore, rather it’s true or false doesn’t change the fact that it’s a crucial point in her character development and that it can’t be let out without a proper conclusion to this confusing scene. Kishi must be aware of the mess he created in the Naruto fandom, not only in the pairing fandom, but all the fandom. Nobody understands what was up with this confession, and I’m sure it’s intentional, it’s because it will surely get resolved later on.

 

So if someone took the time to read that little rant, could you give me your impression on it? What do you agree with? What don’t you agree with? What could be possible concerning this confession and what couldn’t be possible in your opinion?

Well this is what we think more or less those of us who think that the confession was true its because of this reasons and her facial expression while she was confessing like we say the lie wasn't about her not loving Naruto but her saying that she doesn't care about Sasuke which is proven as true later on .

 

The underlined , So True this confession is not the real NS confession that Kishi had in his mind but it's a set up for the real one the fact that Kishi again used this method of interrupting/cutting another NS scene again before Sakura said to Naruto  "from the bottom of my heart I ........" only tells you that it wasn't the right time to do it and it will be brought up latter this is what it's called "Authorial Intent" and Kishi has made pattern of interrupting NS moments from the beginning of P2 and over its course and it happens every time when Sakura is about to / say / do/ think / something romantic toward Naruto this is so obvious but yet people choose to ignore it i wonder why is that so ? <sign>.

One thing I don't like about the confession (aside from the ending result and how confusing it still was) is that from what Sakura was saying it seemed like she picked Naruto over Sasuke because Naruto saved the village and became a hero while Sasuke is a criminal. Though I guess it does sort of imply that the Pain arc is when she discovered said feelings about him (her getting sad face when she found out that Hinata loved Naruto is sort of proof of that)

Well, for the record, she just said she part of those people who like him now because remember, everyone hated him. So in short, she's part of people who thought indifferent of him, not necessarily once he saved everyone from Pain. Like, "I should hug him because I want that fame." As for the confession, yeah, I'm not going to dive in. It's something that's been going on for ages. All I can say is I like the fact they argued, as strange that may sound.

She works at a hospital as a medical clerk and is in love with a 45 year old surgeon who is struggling with his love for her as well as the HUGE age gap. Both her and the surgeon are emotionally unstable because of a traumatic past so they have some sort of connection. On the other hand is another guy who never really had a gf in his life and is kinda of a hot nerd is in love with her.. Due to that fact he has connection with the girl. It's pretty good.

EDIT: I cannot wait until Naruto is finished and the pairing is confirmed.

The confession was very controversial, it's very confusing in that we all agree, but as Pepsi says there are important points to note:

1 -. Though Sakura still had feelings for Sasuke whatever  those have been or continue to be made ​​all to one side and she gave priority to Naruto's life and safety, so the only thing it shows is that her concern for Naruto grade so much more than Sasuke.

. 2 - The conclusion of all this situation was very interesting because changed Sakura's dreams to see team 7 laughing together again, that is interesting because is not romantic dream, one can notice that Sakura accepts that she no longer trusted Sasuke and only Naruto has faith in Sasuke,in this arc she grew and mature so much.

I just think, once Sakura steps back and looks at her feelings for Naruto and Sasuke and all they're previous interactions, she will understand who it is she truly loves.

I don't think Naruto needs to compliment her, only because he has always expressed his support and confidence in Sakura. Although, I do think it's possible he will compliment her when he confesses. I say she realizes her feelings during the N/S fight, because that seems to be how Kishi likes to do things, however for all we know she could have realized her feelings when Naruto was dieing. But you could argue, if she realized her feelings then, why was she caring if Sasuke cared or not.

 

It's hard to tell when Sakura will figure she likes Naruto more than she thinks, but if it doesn't happen before Kaguya is gone, odds are likely it will happen during of right after the S/N fight to add suspense.

Moreover, there are signs that proves she already has felings for him, saying otherwise is denying that fact. There is Yamato's statement, Sai's statement, and from her part, there are more subtle hint like the ramen feeding scene, the hug scene, her questionning her feelings while blushing in chapter 13 (confirming not being about admiration or whatever in the databook).
So she so has feelings for him, so why couldn't she realize that thoses feelings are feelings of love?

Yep there's Yamato, Sai's statement who is not much of a hint, and there's her blushing at chapter 13 who leads to nowhere.
Yamato's speech is in a way telling what you say in a form of a hint however when Sai told her that Naruto loved her, it shows to the headers she didnt thought about Naruto on that way, on which proves that she didnt saw Naruto on that way, and which can be seen on that moment as a platonic love.
She states why she has fallen in love with Naruto during her confession, but wasnt in love with him, she doesnt realize it after thinking about her feelings for Naruto, which is why is ridiculous, and dont tell me that realizing that she loves Naruto now because he's fighting Sasuke because that's insane and ridiculous.

The reaosn why the confession doesnt give the impression she loves Naruto, is because she stated the reasons of why she loved Naruot which was all the development up to that point, "being at my side, and etc..." and didnt "realized" that she was in love with which is what the fandom told many many times before that moment that "as soon as she realizes..." she would love Naruto but she didnt.
 

It is more logic for her to realize some feelings she has proved to have previously in the manga, at many occasions, rather than saying she had no feelings before and just happen to fall in love at the very end of the manga. THAT would be killing the romance sub plot. To me, it would be even worst than ending up the pairing with NH (not SS because nothing can be worst than SS).

THe confession, when she was about to be stabbed by Sasuke or Naruto's near death moment, doesnt ring any bells.
Since it didnt happened in any of those moments i believe it's unlikely that Kishi will go for the route of her "realizing her true feelings for Naruto", it doesnt make sense to me since there a vastly number of scenarions that happened and it didnt triggered it, it started with the confession about realizing that Naruto was at her side and etc..., then the fandom jumped to, near death moment, Naruto's near death and now it's Naruto x Sasuke fight to mirror some OVA of t-shirts.
That's why i believe she will fall in love with Naruto romantically after it since there's stuff missing from Naruto and Sakura has room for development, she has insecurities on which Naruto can break it off later and make her fall in love with him afterwards.
 

And while I do agree with you on the fact that she lied during her confession, I however, do think she loved Naruto, but she was not aware of thoses feelings I previously mentionned. But maybe you are dissociating feelings and love.

THe problem like i stated above is that while i do think she loves Naruto but not romantically is because she "realizing who Naruto was for her", "thought about her feelings for him"(ALL this on the confession).
"she almost died" (No flasbacks), "Naruto's near death), (hokage's dream totally neutral), and so on...
it doesnt make her "realize" her feelings for Naruto.

Also i'm disscociating "Love" from "Romantic Love".
The fake confession shows to me that is possible for her love Naruto that way because she's not against the idea of it and there's no barries since she didnt cared about Hinata's feelings like some people had guessed.

I just realized that Hinata calling Naruto with the suffix -kun- really has no meaning now. She practically calls all her male peers -kun- even in that one movie when Sasuke was in it, she called him Sasuke kun.

It doesn't have to be during or right after the S/N fight it could also happen (if she already hasn't when Naruto awakened because to me it seems like a scene was missing in here because we got straight to him standing up but that just me ) after the war before the N/S fight specifically the moment before Naruto sets out to go  imo .
