@Pepsi: That's why I said end justify the mean. My point is that perhaps the result of all this isn't about this arc only, rather the whole thing. Like will she go from romantic love to platonic love, or from platonic love to neutral, since not caring makes things a lot worse to care for the man. Save him, do that, but care is hard if there's no response back. Basically, the ending could give you a different outlook on the moment that seem troubling you today. It all depends on how the end works, like going to recap on all moments and pretty much point out moment by moment. Anything can happen. Kishi does do exposition plenty of times.

I've seen you guys talk about astrid/hiccup. I only ever watched the very first how to train your dragon but is that pairing good? I'm very selective with parings. Like with Nalu from fairy tail I think that pairing is already confirmed so I stopped shipping it. Pokémon is a lost cause because no shipping will ever be confirmed. Bleach...completely disappointed me. I'm more of a IchiHime fan and I still have a small bit of space in my heart for it. NaruSaku is my only main paring as of now. Sakura x Shaoran from CCS was my main paring until I discovered Naruto.

On the contrary Kubo said himself that whats going on between Ichigo and Rukia is platonic, they're more than friends but they don't look at each other in a romantic light. It looks more like he's going for an open-ending, since he said that most of his readers aren't interested in his romance subplot anyway if there isn't an open-ending it most likely will be IchiHime

Is Jiraiya a pervert? Of course Hiccstrid is a good pairing! Scratch that, it's a beautiful pairing. I recommend you join aboard this ship because there is gradual and mutual development between the two. For Hiccup, his obvious attraction to Astrid was shown when she made her for appearance on screen. It's amazing that in the beginning she's not really fond of him because she thinks he doesn't take his dragon training seriously, and on top of that he suddenly becomes the best at dragon training, which she doesn't take kindly due to her competitive nature. This leads her to become curious about how the worst student became the best student in such a short amount of time. So she decides follow him and discovers that he's buddies with a dragon. She tries to report this but toothless grabs her before she gets too far and forces her to ride on him with Hiccup. The ride is where this ship really sails. After they get off of toothless Hiccup tells her how important Toothless is to him and that's when she finally starts to understand Hiccup. Not only did she become his very first friend (human friend that is lol) but she also starts to like him romantically. From then on she starts to support him and and grow closer to him because she starts to see things from his perspective. Nearing the end of the movie she punches him in the shoulder because she thought he was dead during the battle he had with this big ass dragon. But she then follows up that punch with a kiss in front of all the villagers to see. I know I left out of couple of details but it's alright since you've already seen it :)

 

Now regarding httyd 2

 

5-6 years have passed since the events that happened on httyd 1 and the voice actress that voices Astrid says they are boyfriend & girlfriend even though it's never stated, but it's obvious due to their closeness

the natural physical contact that's displayed

and also because of the kisses they give to each other, which doesn't feel forced at all.

This is just a short summary of htty2 regarding this pair and I assure you there is many more moments theses two share in this movie. I hope this was enough for you to consider shipping this beautiful couple :)

 

P.S. the voice actress also said they have a sexual relationship too. They're like 19-20 :)

Same. Ichigo's love life is rather terrible. I think Kubo or w/e his name is did a terrible job developing characters in Bleach. I don't even read or watch bleach anymore nor do I read the fanfiction but I still ship Ichihime...holding onto the hope that it becomes a legit pairing.

Kataang was really fun to watch. I loved it from the start and new they would be together. I didn't understand why people shipped Zuko and Katara. LOL

Oh how could I forget Robin x Starfire. One of my many pairings to actually happened. -cries-

You should have seen how many "imagine this" we said and at times it happens but more. Just stop putting one over than other or stop thinking deep enough that one would say, "Huh?" Just moving on.

It's a shame because I feel like Kubo was up to something with Ichigo and whoever you choose though Rukia is someone I preferred, but then once their arc ends, they're like put back and the chemistry is hardly shown anymore. He had it going but now, I don't know.

The suppose sexual tension and opposites attract seems to be one of the famous answers I've heard. 

 

I used to ship Ichihim pretty hard, but not anymore. I re-read bleach again and realized that imo he's better off being alone lol.

 

I ship Robin and starfire a little bit, but my fav paring of that show will always be Robin and Raven xD.
