Ain't nobody downgrading her feelings or bashing it. As a matter of fact she herself probably didn't understand her own feelings which Kishi also stated she didn't understand much so I don't know how it's downgrading... It's apart of her character and even now she's realizing she didn't truly love him and it showed several times. If it's selfish it ain't love, it's infatuation. There is a thin line between infatuation and love and recognizing the real thing, and it's not downgrading her character to say that she was possibly confused(I don't think she loved him, I'm saying possibly so I don't offend anyone who does). Because she was written to not understand stuff like this from my understanding. And the fact that grew from such shallow roots only shows more about her feelings for Sasuke. Infatuation can bring pain, I mean Sasuke is important to her I ain't Fina knock that, and it did bring her pain but that doesn't necessarily mean it was love. But this my opinion .

@narusaku256:
Of course loving Sasuke was one of the worst things that ever happened to her, but that's not the point. Hoping Sakura never loved Sasuke is like denying a part of character that affected her so intensely and is one of the main parts of her character that made her grow. We may hate that she ever loved Sasuke, but I'm more accepting of it because it's one of the reasons I love her.
We saw who Sakura was in Part I. A shallow, selfish girl who pined hopelessly for a boy she never understood and that only ever caused her pain. She was ignorant to nearly everything, especially Naruto who was the one who was always there for her and supported her when Sasuke never did. All of these are awful and childish traits of her personality, but that's the whole point.
The point of all of that, of SS's mere existence, was seeing how far Sakura came from who she used to at the end of the series; in who she loved, in what she thought of herself, in her maturity, all of it. What I do love about SS at least slightly is that it was so awful and so badly executed that's it's extremely rewarding to see Sakura at the end of the series fully matured, knowing what love is, and realizing that she didn't need Sasuke as romantic interest but as a friend. Her character development is so much obvious and fulfilling than if she had been perfect, loving Naruto right from the start and never seeing Sasuke as highly romantically as she did.
I hate SS and at this point I constantly criticize Sakura's intact feelings for Sasuke no matter how much I understand it, but I appreciate the relationship in how much it's failure shows have far maturity-wise she has come. I love Sakura and I feel so sorry for her for everything Sasuke puts her through, but I wouldn't love her half as much if her CD and ideas on love hadn't progressed so dramatically.

No with out his clone he is still an absolute perv,
Perv guys piss me of so much, they have no respect for females, they are so sick, sick in the head
This why guys like sasuke (taking all the killing part out/of course his craziness too) always get female attention,
Man who respect for female dont degrade female, dont force female, are the one all female love
Basically a guy should butt out of females matter
But back to the point noodle is kitten ashole who is perv is potential are way below sasukeI can't deal with people like this anymore
Oh, yes Sasuke's respect for women is clearly unmatched. And of course the times he tried to kill Sakura and Karin don't count because he "wasn't himself". Not to mention just a couple chapters back when he degraded Sakura just for asking him a question and put her down for the heck of it. That wasn't disrespectful at all.
Sasuke not caring about women and female attention is not the same as respecting women.

But who knows. Maybe I got the wrong idea that it's about love, rather about Team 7, but we'll see.

I'm with those who think that Sakura's feelings for Sasuke weren't meaningless or flimsy. It was that love in the first place that made Naruto admire Sakura's determination.

I cannot deny her love for Sasuke because like you said its an irreplaceable part of her. How much ever I hate this, how much ever I hate SS, how much ever I hate Sasuke, it won't change a thing. Its just that I feel sad on her part that she wasted her emotions on someone like Sasuke when she deserved way better. But like you say, if its going to showcase how much the queen has matured, how much the queen has improved and most importantly how far the queen has come from being the girl she was in part 1, I think I can give credit to SS for that.@narusaku256:

Edit: What will you term Sakura's feelings for Sasuke? Love, selfish love or infatuation?

I like contradicting sentences like this XD "I think it could happen, I want it to happen, but I'm not really sure"
Of coarse anything could happen, because something always happens. Kishi plays his couples cards in a specific order

You know me. If I was too confident, NH/SS would be confirmed by now.I like contradicting sentences like this XD "I think it could happen, I want it to happen, but I'm not really sure"

Anyway, yeah, something does feel like it's planned and we just have to wait little longer. Though I do wonder when Edo Hokages will show up.

When it comes to Sasuke I'd say Sakura fits into this category:
http://tvtropes.org/...n/LovingAShadow
The bad part is that it's wrongly described in there when mentioning Naruto. They claim Sakura actually subverts the trope because she "legitimately" loves Sasuke now.
Sakura went from crushing on the shadow to loving the shadow, but that doesn't make it any less of a shadow. And as Sakura comes to accept the real Sasuke she fall out of love more and more, while retaining her platonic love. And that's why Kakashi said that her feelings have changed.
It still amazes me how people can miss the point of it.

@Bake-Neko-Chan & Luffyq1:
As much as I hate SS, I definitely do agree with you guys. Sakura did love Sasuke, no matter how selfish or immaturely displayed it was. It caused Sakura far too much pain and it's still a conflict with why NaruSaku hasn't happened yet. I would love to say she never loved Sasuke because he barely did anything for her and he certainly isn't worth it, but that's just my wishful thinking. I wouldn't deny canon fact and even if I'm wrong, then she at least truly believed she loves/loved him. That's almost as important as whether she really did love him.
I think the better way to label Sakura's feelings for Sasuke is that it was based it on an image of who she wanted Sasuke to be. She loved that image so fiercely and held on to it that you might as well say she loved him. She didn't understand Sasuke, she didn't really accept Sasuke for who he was (she refused to acknowledge his darkness, not even with the Curse mark), and was constantly miserable but she still felt for him. It was an immature, selfish, idealistic love, but it was still love. Just not true love. That's because of all the flaws in her feelings for Sasuke above.
It's very, very stupid she felt for Sasuke that much. Trust me, I hate it, now even more so. But it felt real to her and she's still trying to figure out what love really is because of her relationship with Naruto, Sasuke's constant estrangement, and Sakura's emerging maturity; that's what's important. It's hard for her to completely overcome her love for Sasuke and that stubborn image she had of him because she believed in it so fiercely and it meant so much to her. This is why I don't like it when fans bash Sakura for her feelings for Sasuke. It may seem illogical, but when you put yourself in her shoes, you can understand it.
Sakura fell both for Naruto and Sasuke. There's no denying that in my book. Sasuke may be her first love, but Naruto will be her true love. And honestly? That's all that matters. Downgrading SS won't change that Naruto's still the one either way.
I feel the need to respond to all of this since i think all of this infatuation real love or whatever crap started from my post toward your post and in someway i feel like i was misunderstood in here so here it goes .
The underlined is more or less what i meant when i say its not real/true love i mean the fact that her love for him in a sense is love but not a true one because her love was immature,selfish and based on a false image of him that she had by this i don't mean that what she felt for him was just a crush even if I can make the case even for that because we have no explanation why she loved him in the first place but i digress . This is why i say she didn't truly love him because once she finds out that she only loved an image of him not the person himself for who he truly was she will fell out of love from him and understand that she never "truly" loved him like its the case now mind you this doesn't mean that what she felt wasn't love at that time . What i consider a real/true love is what she has for Naruto the feelings she displays for him are thousand times more powerful and beautiful then those she displayed for Sasuke . Also this is why i brought the RTN movie because it explains perfectly what i said above and more or less this is how Kishi presented it , canon or not it came from him and it pretty much gives you his inside also its not like something like this wasn't presented in the manga here it was done just in a more simple way just like it was with NS in the movie that's all .
I for one accept that her feelings for Sasuke are a part of her character but i can never appreciate them because it never made any sense and it hurt her character so bad (just like Naruto's for Sasuke) and its also the reason why people bash her today so much but this doesn't mean i don't love her character as a whole and for who she really is down to her core because Sakura isn't just her feelings for Sasuke she so much more then her "feelings" for him those were just the negative aspect of her character and she has been over with that for a long time imo.
I also disagree that her love for Sasuke made her "grow up" NO! just NO! i agree with @ns256 on this . What really made her grow up is the time she spend with Naruto because trough observing being with him she finds out what True love really is what it is to truly love someone and what real strength is because they are so much alike and Naruto brings this aspect of her fully we have so much panels of this .
Also you can't Downgrade SS more then what it is now and has been forever which is ONE BIG HORRENDOUS PILE OF UTTER kitten sorry for the words but it is what it is LOL.
