Within this pairing war, I still find it ironic and just sad how so many NH and SS fans just jump to the conclusion that Naruto has moved on from Sakura and that Sakura will always love Sasuke, no questions asked.
Yet we get a hint that there would be an end pairing (kushinas foreshadow in 504) and this is later built on in 631 and many fans went insane.
We get scenes where we discover why Naruto loves Sakura and doesn't confess yet and how the unrequited love on him was in a way, a pain because of the promise. Yet nothing mangawise on why Hinata loves Naruto or why Sakura loves Sasuke. All we know about Hinata is that, well she simply loves him given her dream, that it all.
For Sakura to sasuke though, we get scenes again and again nowadays where the audience is inclined to ask how does she feel about him? I mean the land of iron was one thing, but then 540, 635, 675, 676, and 678 we get these events where she is saddened, doesnt trust him, or sasuke just puts her down, seriously this is worse nowadays than how people tried to make endless BS of Sasuke not intentionally trying to kill her. Well he is by all means "uninfluenced" as they wanted to say in the land of iron, and by his own will, he is still a jerk and enough of a reason that Sakura isn't trusting him for some reason.
But I can honestly say I am not surprised, with NH fans spending more time focused on arguing against other pairings, mainly ours, when we have manga events like HInata being left out of 2 important events when she could have been included by any reasons, its going to make them ticked off. I mean Hinata could have been put in the recovery situation but Kishi left her out and let Sakura go. SS fans are getting antsy it seems because well, hard to take a fact that SS is been destabilized, with Sakura herself frowning upon it, its one pillar of support is about to come breaking down if Sasuke keeps this jerk mode up.
Really I am not going to be surprised if kishi both throws more in for NS and continues to make sakura have negative reception from sasuke, herself and him directly to her. I mean NH continues to suffer because HInata goes missing, and NS events just come to drive a further wedge in, if 631 wasn't the start of that divide along with naruto confirming he still loves her in the same chapter, then other events like sakura focusing mainly on naruto during the war was one thing, while 662 and 663 were just the furthest so far. Seriously if Hinata was more important than why didnt she get thrown into the hero recovery situation? Why not? All we saw her do was eat dirt. There was perfect reason and opportunity for her to go. Then about 15 chapters later, she reappears to be taken into the shinju and people believed in both these cases she would meet kagyua or naruto had a spiritual/mental connection with her. No she didnt and she doesn't. Its not helping NH fans case either when literally a dream is shown just explaining the same damned thing we have known what she wanted for 10+ years, but hey to them this speaks its a foreshadow for canon and 631 is a joke, not a simple potential hint to say this may happen but most NH fans turned on Kushina's foreshadow when 631 came out simply because it applied to sakura, not hinata. But hey, if in this current fight kishi gives more NS events like sakura going outright to support naruto in someway for this fight, not with sasuke, than I seriously wonder how long it is till we hit the point of no return, the point where there is just too much NS evidence and kishi has otherwise showcased enough of Sakuras changing view on sasuke (due to the mistrust and heartbreak) how much longer till we hit that point of Sasuke will want to be hokage and it intends to bring naruto into harm, sakura at this point outright supporting naruto in his dream, how will she react when sasuke intends to harm naruto depsite her "loving" him and only "caring" for naruto? Really its got enough of a path for any fan to make out and sense that, Sakura is moving on from Sasuke, moving on from loving him but will be friends in the end and that perhaps, with everything that has happened, Sakura could have more than just friendship with naruto. But NH and SS fans just continue to laugh at this notion, then these same events happen, they freak out and claim kishi is a bad writer despite many hints being in place. So when the time comes when they want to know why the heck this stuff occured as it did, all I can say is, no I will not explain this stuff to them, they always insulted or dismissed us, we explained our views (which generally turned out to be right) and both kishi and us gave them plenty of warning, plenty of opinion, speculation, and evidence to piece together and yet we were harassed for it. Should NS go canon, all I can say is to leave NH and SS fans who questioned this to leave them alone and let them suffer in their arrogance should a great disappointment come.
