Luffy didn't fight Aokiji out of the belief that he would win, he played Aokiji. In reality, Aokiji is the one that got humiliated, as he himself said. Arrogance is fine to an extent, but that isn't "a little". With his selection of four emperors, this idiot decided to go after the strongest of them all. I hope Kid gets eaten alive. Same for those other rookies, they're gonna get wrecked.

That is, but he didn't make the first move, nor did he do it on a whim. He retaliated after the WG assaulted his crew. Btw, it turns out we did get a little Nami and gang tease in this chapter.

we don't really know the full extent as to why kid is going after shanks though. but still, declaring war against the world government is all kinds of stupid. imo the world government is more dangerous than pirates.

Do you see that bottom right panel? The one where it says "a certain sea"? Look at the ship. Do you see the icing overflowing from it? And the Jolly Roger? That's Big Mom's ship. Capone is watching the Strawhats fight the BM pirates. Further proof of this is how he mentions "we're gonna catch Ceaser". Who is it that has Ceaser? Nami's gang. Capone says "our friends are doing well". He's talking about Nami and company. Looks like they're doing just fine :)

I would agree, but Violet is around 40 years old like Robin. Sanji is around 20.

Read the chapter, and I liked it. Usually wrapping up chapters are kinda boring, but this one wasted no time is bringing up some big issues that are usually behind the scenes. I gotta give major props to Fujitora, man he was great in this chapter, and Akainu getting his ass handed to him twice was simply glorious. I know that some people didn't care for Luffy's alliance with Law, because it takes away from the fact that he beat Doffy, but had it not been for Law that wouldn't have happened, however those 5 old guys from Gorosei know for a fact that it's all Luffy's doing. Maybe they're aware that Luffy is Dragon's son? Honestly I don't remember if they do or don't know. Either way they know he's becoming a "problem" for them. 

 

I enjoyed Law,I love his character so much, but I do agree that after this he should meet with his crew and part ways, but I'm afraid he'll be forced to stick around and help out, because the rest of the straw hat crew were last seen dealing with big mom. I remember Law saying that his crew was on another island that wasn't far, was it also Zou, or Green Bit, no that's not it, or is it? Obviously I don't remember, but the point is that his crew is near. I honestly have no clue how this is all going to pan out since Luffy and Law are basically out of commission and they are separated from their crew. So this whole alliance thing is probably going to continue because of crazy circumstances. 

 

Now then....what the hell is up with Kid? I could careless about his little alliance, but why go after Shanks? I mean not only is that statement beyond laughable but what's the point? I honestly don't even see Kid in the same league as Luffy and Law. His bounty being higher is just because he doesn't care who gets in his way and so he's a real dangerous menace. Either way his whole little plan is kinda a bore, but if he has a death wish then he's headed the right way.

Yeah, Fujitora has grown on me a lot. Him standing up to Akainu was great, I like how Fujitora doesn't take crap when it comes to actual justice. He's interested in doing things the right way, unlike Akainu. It was the same with Aokiji, which is why I liked Aokiji. The Gorosei have been well aware of Luffy for years, they've known about Garp's lineage for a long time. They made a comment about how Garp's family is insane. They're also higher than Sengoku, it makes sense they would know.

Laws crew is on Zou, Green Bit was the part of Dressrosa where the Dwarves lived. I think they'll continue with Law for a bit, because they still have to take out Kaido, but after that I think they'll split for a bit. Law will still be a major player later on, after all, he is gonna be Luffy's Whitebeard.

Lol that's what I said! Kid is an idiot, him and his alliance are gonna get absolutely demolished by Shanks! You could argue that he isn't as strong as Luffy, especially pre skip, because much of his bounty comes from killing innocent civilians. There isn't a person from the worst generation that can touch Shanks, except maybe Teach. Kid is gonna be swimming with Davy Jones in a bit lol

Luffy is gonna be the Gol D. Roger of his era, and Law will most likely be the new eras Whitebeard. Roger and Newgate were friends, but rivals as well. Their relationship is going to probably be mirrored by Luffy and Law. We've already seen that thus far.

i don't think law will be as pivotal in the next arc as he was in this one. the next arc, if it does in fact deal with an emperor, will involve luffy and the rest of the straw hats dealing with him/her.

 

to be the man you have to beat the man, and that starts with luffy taking down an emperor, which i'm sure many people would prefer and expect for luffy to do it alone.

 

as was shown in the doffy fight, luffy could have easily beaten doffy without laws help. law was there mainly because it was personal. luffy challenged big mom because he's an idiot and he's confident that he can beat her, without laws help.

when luffy entered gear 4 the fight was completely one sided. it was simply overkill. luffy broke free of doffy's famous parasite like it was absolutely nothing.
