At this rate in the Naruto fandom there are probably five people who call themselves Kishi's brother, ten who claim to be his kids, twenty his assistant, fifty claiming to be his father in-law, and 356 people claiming that they are in his 'inner circle'

You are probably right, however its hard to fight some of the lingering questions. -Why is Sarada a replica of Karin, she has no traits of Sakura like the other kids??? - Why didn't Kishi put the end couples together or have them acknowledge each other??? -Why would Kishi have a massive city placed in the background. I understand technology advances but it takes away the charm of the ninja world??? And more questions!!! I think in the end you are more than likely correct lol but I just wander what Kishi's end goal is. Why not give Sarada pink hair and make it obvio

Again, I don't think it's insulting to Sakura's character to have her adopt a child. The way those last few panels were written, it's possible Sasuke doesn't even know of Salada's existence. 

 

It's insulting when you're making the argument that she'd adopt Sasuke's child with another woman. Sakura loves Sasuke, you heard her in chapter 693. It's one thing to defend Sakura to love two men. It's another to deny Sakura her own character (as you're also denying her child, I'm not surprised).

So what I wanna say is, you're not gonna understand anything about what everyone in this thread is analyzing if you're not gonna read all of it. The last 5 pages? I'm sorry, but that hardly covers anything anyone in here has talked about. Everyone here went through the chapters and analyzed everything they could brilliantly. It's amazing to read everything that these guys worked so hard to put together. As an English major, I can definitely say I am proud. I don't think it's right to read only 5 pages of that and disagree with their theories, when you don't even really know what they are.

Byakugan is a dominant trait
Naruto's whiskers were cuz he was Jinchuriki

Sarada might be studious, but Sakura was too...
still no need of glasses
plus An Uchiha needs glasses are really wierd
The Hidden village is no more hidden
the ending seems like just a wish fulfillment for everyone which practically isn't possible

 

It was never said Byakugan was a dominant trait. Since Hagoromo didn't have the Byakugan even though Kaguya had it, we can safely say it can skip children. Naruto's whiskers were there when he was born and he wasn't a jinchuriki then, his mother was.

 

Sarada having glasses is simply a design choice that you're looking too much into. Minato looked like Naruto, so yeah they were related. However, Pain also looked like Naruto (more than Minato) and yet they were not related (yet there were theories that they were simply because of this design choice). Lee and Gai are another pair that strongly resemble each other yet they're not related. Do not forget, the only resemblance Karin has is the glasses, because Sarada has Sakura's face.

 

If it's wish fulfillment for everyone, then why are you coming up with theories about Hinata having children with Toneri or Lee (she wouldn't wish for this), Sakura to be Bolt's mother (Hinata wouldn't wish for this), Sasuke having a kid with Karin (Sasuke wouldn't wish for this), Sakura adopting a kid (Sakura wouldn't wish for this)?

 

 

 

Well said. This is a theory thread. If you disagree, you are welcome to move along. There are a lot of folks in here sharing thoughts and theories and if you don't have anything positive to contribute, then I highly suggest you do move along. These are not the droids you're looking for.

I have a question though... if you really think this is a genjutsu... doesn't that mean the main character FAILED? It means he never became hokage.   

 

As I said before, this theory doesn't solve anything and only adds more problems. Some are saying that the last chapters contradict what Kishi has written, but how is making Naruto fail to save everyone from the Infinite Tsukuyomi not contracting of his heroic status?

700 was strange though. If both kids were naruto's, then one would have bayakugan. Just like SS kid, why looking like Karin? Glasses?

On the first page, the OP asked for this to be a thread where people help compile thoughts about the possibility of the movie having an NS twist. There's a separate movie thread — The Last: Naruto the Movie: Thread 2 —  for discussion of the movie that doesn't involve theories. More of a fact-based thread. 

 

If you find that the theories are your particular cup of tea, instead of shooting holes in them, please go to the other thread. Does that make sense? This thread is more of a brainstorming and comparing notes thread. As such, there's no need for criticism here.

 

I'm not discouraging you to read this thread or participate, but if you don't agree what people are coming up with here, then you may want to switch to the other thread.

 

The mods are trying to keep with the OP's request and make this thread a safe environment for people to come up with whatever speculation they want about the upcoming movie, without having to worry about criticism.

Seriously. I've tried to explain it nicely: This is a thread for theories, not for crits. We've got another thread for debate and/or discussion. It is not open to people trying to tell everyone their wrong, and if it continues I can ban users from the thread. You can either stay and be supportive or go to the other thread. But I'm not going to explain it again.

Haven't been on 4chan personally ever; husband used to go there a long time ago when it was still a fresh branch off of Something Awful. 

 

I'm not trying to get anyone's hopes up but my own.  I am trying to make sense of a fairly nonsensical chapter 700.  I think 699 is "reality"; I think there is too much weird about 700 to just accept it as face value. Whether it's some kind of IT or a narrative feint, I won't know until the movie.

 

At this point, if it turns out to not be some kind of trick and the movie doesn't explain 700 well or is just the NH sappy love story some folks are predicting, I'll be more disappointed that Kishi and Studio Pierrot missed the opportunity for an epic narrative twist than I will be that NH remains canon.

He didn't make this. This is Cyberconnect2's work, from Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution. They've always hinted at NaruSaku though, so I guess they also knew where Kishi was headed too
