Are you kidding? So in the end its just "Oh, it was all just a dream."

It's more like a challenge.

Naruto has to convince himself it really is just an illusion. He has to convince himself that real life is better than the illusion, he has to convince himself that those aren't really his parents, and that his friends are better off elsewhere than in the illusion.

Of course, Sakura will help with that I'm sure.

So, not so much a dream, more of a challenge.

Basically; Tobi cast the genjutsu supposedly to subdue Naruto while he's extracting the Kyuubi from him. Somehow Sakura gets involved and is also caught in same genjutsu world as Naruto.

As for Sakura's development, she's come a /long/ way even without having anything to do with romance. She's no longer this seemingly vapid and shallow little girl obsessed with the cool good looking guy, the little girl who was ignorant about emotional pain and loss. She threw herself into her training, threw away her petty concerns about her appearance (recall that during the first bell test, she was actually on a diet, and how after cutting her hair in the FoD, she kept her hair short), and became one of the best medic nins in existence.

Sakura's fight with Sasori alone speaks volumes about how far her abilities and character have developed. She made antidotes that had no room for error (stated by Sasori himself), she had the foresight to make them before hand, she was willing to throw herself in front of a sword in order to save a comrade that she barely knew (thus why Chiyo called her chivalrous), and blew herself up to get out of a cloud of poisoned smoke.

As has been mentioned before as well, she's assumed a role of some leadership as well, giving orders that are followed both during the Pein invasion when Naruto was in kyuubi mode, and during the war when she's in the medic tent and she gives clearance for the supposed injured nin to enter.

I bring up her huge lack of contact with Sasuke since her confession because it was made obvious that what Sakura still had feelings for was her memory of Sasuke, the 12/13 year old comrade that thanked her for expressing care for him. It is not easy to reconcile and accept that someone you were so sure that you loved has changed like that. Which is why 540 is so significant, because she has finally gotten through her head that Sasuke is a different person now. It showed a huge difference in her perception of him, and will most likely be the first step in her finally letting go of whatever romantic feelings she has left for him.

You may think its stupid for Sakura to have ANY romantic feelings left for Sasuke at this point, but I'm pretty sure its just meant to create more pairing drama (most likely pushed for by editors).

I sort of agree with what you said, but I never said Sakura was stupid for loving Sasuke, I just think it's immature of her. What I think is stupid is that author is trying to convince us that she is still in love with Sasuke, yet hasn't given us any legit reasons why should she.

I his intentions are clear. He's staging Sakura's character to get over like I said in my previous post about her condition. Sasuke, what it seems has such a power over her like no other man. If Naruto were to say the things Sasuke had said to her in the past. Naruto would have a butt whipping. The influence Sasuke has over Sakura seems so immensely potent. She can't break away from it and escape it from clouding her judgment. Sasuke could do all kinds of unpleasant things to her and Sakura woudn't retaliate as shown at the team seven reunion. If she breaks this barrier Sasuke has over her, than Sasuke will be just an any normal guy who messes with her will harshly be felt with. The question is how will she break this mental trauma?

I think it's really just to make it clrear to these other fanbases that no matter what happens Naruto will never hold feelings for Hinata...even in an alternate universe. I think this is Kishi trying to say pairing wars are over.

Right, pairing wars are totally something that justifies making an entire movie. I'm pretty sure like at least 90% of fans don't care about pairings at all.

As a veteran of many battles of the pairing wars, I agree that most fans don't care about pairings. Though, it is very hard to get on the internet and avoid the ongoing conflict. I wonder if I would enjoy the series more or less if I never got involved in the first place. Though, I do know that if we do win this war, I will enter the fray on Youtube and it will be the last time I intentionally take part of the pairing wars.



If NS does in fact become canon and wins it all, how will you guys celebrate?

Sakura: I am still completely confused by this, to be honest. I do believe that Sakura knew from the start that Naruto wouldn't give up Sasuke. I think Sakura confessed to Naruto for very similar reasons that Hinata did.

Sakura didn't specify who she was going to fight against. My first thought was "Oh she means Sasuke right?". But then I thought, that wouldn't really fit the series. Naruto and Sasuke have to fight 1 on 1, I doubt Sakura would get involved in that. More importantly I don't think she should get involved with that.

So, with that said, who do you think Naruto and Sakura are going to fight? Will Naruto finally be able to rely on Sakura's strength instead of the other way around?
My hopes are that Sakura will prove that she can fight on Naruto and Sasuke's level. Even if she doesn't do any damage, I want her to at least be there, kind of like Guy and Kakashi are doing right now.

Topic change no jutsu successful. Because I'm getting annoyed at the current topic.

This has probably been asked a million times, but when do you guys think the next NS moment will take place? We all keep predicting "maybe X chapters" but nothing seems to be happening. Also, what do you think will happen?

Slightly off-topic, can someone give me a quick recap of what's been happening in the manga? I haven't read since 582 and right now I'm too lazy to go read them now.

Well... I'm not hoping for NS to happen just to rub it into irrelevant peoples faces.

Hence why, I am not very deep into the fanbase. It's dark and murky and I just don't understand why the first action would be to rub it into others faces. It just makes me think, maybe they don't like the pairing at all. They just like to argue and have someone to always argue against.


As for what will happen next, I think they will all arrive on the battle field, Naruto will have a good look at all of them, but Sakura will get her own panel before the fighting starts up again. XD

Just forget about VJ ignore him he's not worth it. Let him say what he wants there won't be any changes in the manga and Kishi isn't going to change his mind from the pairing he's been developing from the beginning. Let him be in his own little world.
