Anyone ever read assassination classroom? I couldn't find a thread on it and I didn't eat to start a topic just to ask. Is it any good? Are there any love triangles?

Oh, that on. It's one of the most successful newcomers right now. It's very unique... There's also an anime going on right now. I've watched a few episodes, but it was meh, to me. I might catch up on the manga one day though.

I like it, it's a good read if you want something more lighthearted than serious. Koro-Sensei, the tentacle monster, is ridiciously overpowered but such a cool figure (and quiet a gary stu). Romance wise, well, no triangles, one romance is only mentioned/never shown, one was 'forcefully' terminated before it really began and the last one hasn't even really begun yet...

What's the main romance?

The main focus is the relationship between Sensei/target and the students (and their issues and the overcoming of these).

not to mention he has one of the coolest guns out there, the caster. i loved when you think the final battle was gonna be epic and he just shoots a black hole at him and you're like "....what thats it?!" just like anyone with a brain would handle the situation ^w^ always save your trump card for last and use it first to get it over with quick.

 

oh and how could i forget tenchi series? ryoko's one of my fave girls.

And it's not like the Caster is completely unique either (given Ron MacDougall has one). It's just a very old weapon that's become extremely rare and whose ammo is also very rare and costs a lot (while the stronger ammo, the #4 (the black hole), #9, and #13 that Gene used during the last couple episodes, literally drains your life when used), so it's also not like Gene just whips it out and owns everyone with it easily either. Same with the XGP not being the best ship out there. It's just unique due to Melfina and being able to locate the Galactic Leyline, but in terms of its base stats and grappling abilities, it's most likely more advanced than other ships at the time, but still not the absolute best.

And yeah, Tenchi was cool too. Universe was my favorite version followed by the first one. Kiyone and Ryoko being my favorites, though Tsunami and Washu are cool too..

I don't know, but if I am not mistaken Rtn DVD doesn't sell well compare to the other naruto movie(the last doesn't include).

Lol they did. They're doing some more of Obito's history. Basically what it is is a knock on Kishimoto's writing skills. His world was so empty beneath the surface that they have to have long ass fillers arcs to make it appear like
Kishi knew what he was doing.

Honestly, SP is doing to Naruto what they did to bleach, they're starting to do this filler season crap. Bleach needs to get redone by someone else, Naruto should just get canceled and die XD

Bleach filler were so they wouldn't overshoot the anime. When they ran out of ideas for filler and kubo was still dragging his heels they stopped. Naruto has ended. It's done they should just be wrapping up the story right now.

Apparently this is it's first week out Fox wants to know how good/bad it is doing.

 

Also in general does anyone know how much those DVD in japan cost and how many of those they have to sell for it to be consider a success on DVD?

Almost...I'd take Junko out of that one, she made an interview together with the other VA's saying she knew about SS all along ( which contradicts her past interview that she was surprised by the ending)  and even excusing that awful pairing...so no

Disagree, sp is not the only big studio out there and they can't screw a va role. And junko is too big to replace by the other va.

Sorry mate but you're wrong. If they want they can make it in such a way that whatever actor or actress will never work for another studio ever again. And no matter how big Junko is in that industry, she can be kicked out tomorrow and replaced with someone new just like that. Sure the people that like her will be pissed but the people who control the business don't care about that.

And it's not a profitable move to kick out an establish va of title character that goes for ten years. And sp is not the only studio in japan. There're still toei and sunrise studio who make anime on regular basis.

I agree it's not profitable but it can happen.

Let me give you a recent example (not va). Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear got his contract with BBC terminated because allegedly he punched a producer in the face. Clarkson was basically the face of Top Gear for 13 years along with Hammond and May, but Clarkson was the star. And the BBC still kicked him out and replaced him with an ex model even though Clarkson through Top Gear made BBC richer than ever.

 

And here we're talking about a show that brought in more viewers and more money than SP could ever dream of.

So yeah it can happen even if it's not profitable at all. Piss of the wrong people and you're out.

And sp is not the ruler of anime world. Just because you screw with sp, doesn't mean other studio will not use your talent.
