That's the exact reason why the chances of NH being canon diminish rapidly. Naruto didn't even think about it nor was it addressed. He has never looked at Hinata from that perspective, so how can he do that, all of a sudden?

Yeah the problem with NH is, a confession was already made, so what more could happen between them. Naruto's feelings have shown no sign of changing after it. Yet people say NS is dead, when no real confession was made and by that I mean, a confession that is not poorly timed and leaves not hint of doubt.

 

If Naruto was to confess, then he would mean it 100% and we know Sakura would not turn him down. If Sakura were to confess after the N/S fight and tell Naruto she's serious, then it's more than likely Naruto will say yes.

 

NH has already done the one thing need for NS, but because there was no development behind it, it's obviously not going to happen.

Okay, I read your edit and I'd like to say that the confession and the handhold that is what the NH fans cling on. Something like confession which carries so much weightage is lost between the pages overtime, what can we conclude from it? Atleast Sakura's confession was addressed though negative. You know one thing? If you play a devil's advocate to Hinata's confession you'll notice that it is all about her and if do the same with Sakura's confession, you'll notice that it was all about Naruto. Now, which confession carries more meaning? SelfISH one or the selfLESS one? I am not saying that Hinata's confession is meaningless, but it carries some weightage if it is addressed. If not, then how can they conclude that Naruto loves Hinata? They don't even have moments to prove that he is leaning towards Hinata.

For the handhold, if they claim they have the handhold, we can claim we have the CPR. Which carries more magnitude, a handhold or a kiss?

That's so true. NH have never had any actual negative moments. There's never a wavering in Hinata's romantic feeling for Naruto nor is there is anything anti-romantic on Naruto's front (ignoring his feelings for Sakura). He still always treats her in a supportive and fond light, no matter if it's painfully platonic. And honestly, if I'm expressing my honest opinion, NH would be the sibling relationship in Naruto instead of NS. Naruto treats Hinata like he's her big brother. It's sweet and everything, but all of his pep talks come off as seriously brotherly. How come the NH fans never consider this?

 

I'm also not sure if Hinata knows of his feelings for Sakura. 678 doesn't necessarily confirm if she does or not. It's normal for someone to dream of being with the one they love even if that person loves someone else. Isn't Naruto like that with Sasuke and Sakura? However, even if she didn't know, than that dream would still happen. I personally don't think she knows because Hinata looked too happy at the NS hug. She should've reacted similarly to Naruto when Sakura hugged Sasuke in the hospital, at least for a moment.

 

I really want to see how Hinata's feelings for Naruto get resolved. This girl is still buried way too much in her Naruto tunnel vision.  Kishi has dragged out her affection for Naruto for too long. She should've already resolved to get over him by witnessing a NS moment and this time acknowledging it. NHers are right about one thing. It's unusual that Hinata's feelings are still so strong, but honestly the same can even be said for Lee and Ino. Why haven't they moved on? I don't get Kishi.

 

My ideal solution is for Hinata to discover the flaws of her love for Naruto on her own and chose to train hard to lead her Clan and honor Neji instead of chasing after Naruto her whole life. Or maybe Naruto needs to reject her to get the hint (I hope not ... I'd prefer if Hinata comes to her resolution instead of a rejection). Another possibility is when she comes out of the IT; that does have potential, made even better if she sees a big NS moment.

 

If Hinata still loves Naruto this strongly at the end of the series and still doesn't care about much else with no acknowledging of NS, then my faith in her is gone. That's the worst resolution for Hinata I'd have ever seen. Kishimoto needs to give her more justice than that, not crush her potential entirely.

I have a short time, so I'm sorry if it got answered already but when talking about relationship, we only referring to the established friendship one, not with Sasuke. That's like doing a storyline with Jesus or the Pope because they are the few that will forgive anyone, no matter what, but let's not go deep, let alone religious. Let's focus on NS. Really, the idea of having them arguing is actually a good thing more so than a bad thing. It's funny because that's just way how life really works. We will argue and we can't really have a perfect relationship. I had argued with my girlfriend with something crucial and this is before we really got together. I understand that this is a manga, but even they know relationship isn't perfect. Why you think you always see movie with characters almost getting together, but then something happens and they split up, but you know they will come back. It also tells you the morale that these 2 can't be separated by anything. If you can pass it, then it's meant to be. If you can't, you either move on or try to start over.

 

Besides, Hinata hardly interact. It took up to Pain Arc to do so, and even then, she did the talking.

 

Attention: The episode that we all have to face is on now. Sadly, I can't get images so yeah, here's to the best for a more fair directed episode.

Does it mean there is some fanservice? Meaning they added filler scene? Because even if it's a little filler, it's still annoying me, so if it's not exactly like in the manga, I won't watch it.

From the pics I saw it all went just like in the manga, plus some scenes have deerpy faces.

I feel like a huge weight on my shoulder has just vanished. I too want to see those chapters animated, though I would be selfish and say I want to see 662-663 the most because of display of Sakura. VA got to nail it to make the scene very effective, but I know she can do it. Plus CPR...yeah. ^_^

So, question: Hinata's confession during the Pain arc--did Naruto even realize that that's what it was? Nothing more is said about it once it's all said and done. Neither is even shown thinking about it afterwards.

 

There was/is a lot of fanfare about that from NH fans, but it's been a long time and nothing seems to have come of it. Do they attribute this to bad writing on Kishi's part, or what?

 

Oh, yeah. I totally forgot she had already done it and grew a backbone    . So to conclude, Hinata is still, Hinata. Pity.

I would love if after the N/S fight, Sakura runs to Naruto and hugs him in front of the SA, then pulls away so that they're staring at each other. They get all flustered, but don't back away and someone shouts " Just kiss her already!" That would nearly kill me.
